Chapter 28
The Severino family were known for their undoubtedly huge warehouses, housing tons and tons of goods worth millions and millions of dollars, the heavily guarded and filled with produce gotten from the many Severino plantations.
They owned about 5 warehouses in total and they were all located in different parts of the country, tonight the one located closest to the mansion had received a large shipment of olives and oil, they were being offloaded from the trucks into the warehouse, the entire place was a beehive of activity so it was easy for the men in black to steal into the warehouse unnoticed.
A total of 30 hid in the darkness watching and bidding their time, waiting for the perfect time to attack, 15 out of the masked men were professional snipers, they were positioned above the warehouse, ready to annihilate their chosen targets.
The had total of 20 armed guards and 15 casual workers and they were completely unsuspecting of any attack because no one would risk the wrath of the Severino family by daring to attack their properties.
One of the masked men gave a signal to the others and they all nodded in the dark, they spread out carefully and quickly surrounding the large warehouse, each man ready to kill and complete the mission, they were being a large sum of money to do this after all.
The leader gave his signal again and the snipers prepared to shoot, the next signal from the leader and bullets went flying in the air, embedded themselves in the bodies to guards and workers who fell to floor, dead and bleeding from deadly injuries on their bodies.
All at once panic struck and the remaining guards and workers tried to figure out what was happening, the leader of the assassins gave his signal again and shots were fired again, shouts of pain filled the air then silence followed.
The first part of the job was done, they climbed down from their hiding place and walked into the warehouse, still on high alert ready to finish off anyone still alive.
They searched the warehouse thoroughly and when they were satisfied that no one was left alive, they stopped their search.
"There is no one left boss, I have confirmed it" one of the masked men said to the one who was obviously the leader.
"Very good, I will hate to have any problems" the boss said.
"Shall we carry on with the next step?" another masked man asked.
"Yes, set everything ablaze" the boss said, beneath the ski mask on his mask, no one could see the sick smile on his face.
The masked men ran around, pouring gasoline on everything, nothing was spared and by the time, it was all drenched in oil, they stepped out and the boss took an aim with his pistol, he fired right into a barrel of oil.
The sound of the explosion was deafening and the fire slowly enveloped everything, licking away at goods worth millions.
It took 30 minutes for the fire to consume everything and for everything to be completely covered in flames.
The men stood there watching until they were sure the fire had spread everywhere.
"Let's go, our work here is done" the boss said and turned toward their parked cars.
The masked men piled into their jeeps and drove off into the darkness.
