“Don Ferrari, you have a visitor” Leo said to Emil.
A small frown settled on his face because they were interrupting his private moment with Andrea, he was tempted to tell whoever it was to leave and come back another time.
“Who is it?” Emil asked.
Leo hesitated for a while before he said “It’s Giorgio”
Emil’s eye brows slightly lifted, he glanced over at Andrea and he was certain she was paying attention to everything he was saying.
He cleared his throat and said to Leo “Take him to the study and wait for me, I will be there shortly”
“Yes Don Ferrari” Leo said and walked back toward the house.
Emil turned back to Andrea and said “Excuse me for a second, I have important business I must attend to”
Andrea smiled and said “Don’t mind me, I will be fine here, I have my book to keep me company after all”
Emil looked at the book in her hand and decided that he should definitely get her more books since she loved them so much.
“I won’t be long” Emil said and stood up.
Andrea smiled and said nothing.
Emil turned in the direction of the house and began walking, he wondered if Giorgio was going to confirm his suspicion about Lorenzo or he will simply tell him, he was overthinking the whole situation.
Emil was not sure which of the situations he preferred if he was being honest, well he will just have to wait and find out.
He found Giorgio in his study seated on one of the sofas, he was dressed in one of his usual finely tailored suits, his thinning hair had been slicked backward with gel and his mustache had been neatly, Giorgio himself was a small man, he was of thin frame and small stature but he lacked in size, he made up for in Smarts
“Hello Giorgio, it is always a pleasure to see you” Emile greeted as he walked in to the study.
Giorgio stood up quickly and took the handshake Emil was offering him “Don Ferrari, the pleasure is really all mine” he said.
Emil nodded and gestured to a chair before taking his own, once he was seated, Giorgio took his seat again.
“I trust my work has been completed” Emil asked.
Giorgio smiled and reached into his suitcase, he pulled out a file and placed it on the table “Every you need to know about Lorenzo Puccini or should I say Lorenzo DeLuca is in that file” Giorgio clicked his tongue and said “That one is truly a scumbag indeed”
Emil smiled, he had been right after all, Lorenzo DeLuca was truly masquerading to be someone he was not in the Severino house but the main question to be asked was why he was doing it.
“That man should not even be allowed to walk free, he has committed a lot of crimes that were simply covered up with his family fortune, I can’t even begin to mention it all” Giorgio said with a look of pure disgust on his face.
Emil already knew Lorenzo was a psychotic person so that was not what he was interested in, he wanted to know about his business with the Severino family.
“What did you find out about why he is pretending to a bodyguard at the Severino house?” Emil asked.
Giorgio’s face scrunched up in disgust again “Well at the start of my findings, I figured it had something to do with the daughter, your wife that is, it will appear that he quite fancies her and they had been known to be some tenderness between the two of them since he was her personal bodyguard” he said.
At the mention of the fact that Andrea and Lorenzo had once had something between them, Emil felt his blood boil and he wanted to break each and every one of Lorenzo’s fingers for ever thinking of touching Andrea but he forced his mind to calm down, there will be time for punishment later, now it was time for him to listen.
“But after digging deeper, I am led to suspect that his reason for being in that house runs deeper than the affections of a woman, you see the young man lost his parents when he was 16 years old, according to my sources , he lost his parent in a car crash and he was in the car, it was a real tragic thing to be honest, they say the car caught fire while they were still alive, somehow though, Lorenzo survived, now where it gets interesting is that his parents had been partners with the Severino family and everyone believes the hit on his parents was ordered by the Severino family, now my theory is that the boy wants revenge on the Severino family and that could be his reason for hanging around them now another thing that leads me to believe those are his motives is the fact that someone from the DeLuca family has been in contact with the Razor assassin group and they had been asking them to carry out a job on the Severino family” Giorgio concluded.
“And with the recent attack on the Severino family’s warehouse and the killing of their workers, it makes perfect sense that Lorenzo DeLuca must have had something to do with it” Emil said, the whole picture was starting to make sense to him, orphan boy seeking vengeance for the death of his family, the way of the Mafia.
“That is my thought exactly” Giorgio said.
“Who had called the razors?” Emil asked.
“According to my sources it had been a woman, during my research of the family, I had found that Lorenzo has an older sister, Anna Maria DeLuca, I believe she had made the call” Giorgio said.
Emil pondered on this information he had just learnt, it appeared Lorenzo was even more dangerous than he had believed him to be initially, he was ready to exact his vengeance no matter what, and he was not alone, there was also the detail of him being a major psychopath, this was definitely a serious problem.
“Thank you for a job well done, I can always count on you to get the job done” Emil said with a cool smile on his handsome face.
Giorgio smiled broadly and said “And it is always a pleasure working with you Don Ferrari”
“You can take your leave now, Leo will see to your fee, just ask for whatever price you want, I am very impressed with your work” Emil said.
Giorgio smiled even more broadly than he had done before and said “Thank you Don Ferrari, you are too kind”
Emil simply smiled and picked up the file to properly go through it.
Giorgio stood up and left the room with a wide grin on his face, he was certain he will be receiving a huge sum in his bank account before he left the Ferrari mansion today.
Once the door shut behind Giorgio, Emil put down the file, he was suddenly faced with a choice, the mafia code demanded life for life and blood for blood, Lorenzo DeLuca was simply trying to fulfill his part of the code and there was the fact, he had promised to help Dante Severino and it was also the law of the Mafia to protect ones family, Emil had no personal quarrel with Lorenzo and he knew better than to involve himself in a fight that was not his own.
So what exactly was he expected to do in a situation like this and this was not situation that involved just him, any decision he took will affect his family, he will have to discuss it with his brothers before he made any decision.
