It was safe to say Emil had been in a foul mood since he woke up, everyone had noticed his foul mood and let him be, that was always the safe option whenever he was in a mood, even his brothers knew it was best to leave him alone at a time like that.
He holed himself in his study completing one task after another, he was barely concentrating but he needed something to keep him busy because he did not want to think about Andrea's accusations from last night.
She had actually believed that he was responsible for the attack on her family's warehouse and she had even dared to ask him about it.
In frustration, he through down the file he had been trying to read.
He was not sure he had ever been so upset about an accusation before, it normally did not matter what people thought about him but the fact that she thought him an dishonourable coward bothered him a lot.
His thoughts were bothered by a knock on the door and he snapped his head up in annoyance.
"Who is it?" He called.
"Sorry to bother you Don Ferrari but I have a message to deliver and it is urgent" His chief of security's voice said from behind the door.
"Come in" Emil said and picked up the discarded file once more.
The door opened and Leo walked in, "Good morning Don Ferrari" he said.
"Just get to it quickly, I am very busy" Emil said without looking up from his file.
"Yes Don, a message arrived from the Severino house, Don Severino is requesting to see you today and the message says it is urgent" Leo said.
Emil raised his eyes from the file "Dante Severino wishes to see me?" He asked.
"Yes Don Ferrari" Leo said.
This was definitely strange, Don Severino had never summoned him since the start of their truce and now he was summoning him a night after his family's property had suffered an attack.
Emil found it comical that both father and daughter had the same train of thought.
"Tell the driver to get ready, we leave in 15 minutes" Emil said.
"Yes Don Ferrari" Leo said and quickly left the room.
Emil was curious, he wanted to hear why he was suddenly being summoned by his father in law.
With that thought in mind, he stood up and left his study to prepare for the drive to the Severino mansion.

The drive to the Severino mansion had been swift and 20 minutes later, Emil stood in front of the Severino mansion.
"Please come right this way Don Ferrari, Don Severino has been expecting your arrival" A woman who liked she was the head housekeeper said as she welcomed Emil to the house.
Emil thought she reminded him a lot of Wilma, they were dressed similarly and were roughly the same height.
Emil nodded politely and followed her in to the house along with his two body guards.
The walk to the study was short and the woman knocked on the door "Don Severino, your guest has arrived" she called out.
"Let him in please" came the gruff reply from inside the study.
The woman smiled at Emil before opening the door and gesturing for Emil to go inside, he gave her another polite nod before walking into the room, his bodyguards stood outside the room.
Emil saw the old man behind a huge desk, going through a pile of papers and Emil wondered if this was how it looked like when he was working in his study.
Dante Severino raised his head and when he saw Emil, he stood up from his chair and said "Emil Ferrari, thank you for coming"
"Well it is not like I could refuse an invitation from my father in law, we must always respect our elders after all" Emil said.
Dante Severino nodded and gestured to a chair "Have a seat please"
Emil nodded before he took the chair.
Once he was seated and his guest was seated as well, Dante Severino wasted no time "I am certain you heard about the attack on one of my warehouses last night" he said.
Emil's face remained calm, he had expected this after all "I did" was all he said.
"And do you have any idea who was behind the attack?" Dante Severino asked.
His deep eyes staring straight at Emil.
"I do not" Emil replied, his voice calm and controlled.
Dante Severino was quiet for a second then he said "I believe you"
Emil smiled, it was a homeless smile.
"So you called me here to interrogate me?" He asked.
"Call it what you want Emil, I had to find out the truth and I just did" Dante Severino said.
Emil decided that Dante Severino was not so bad, he liked it when people were straight to the point and not cowardly about their intentions.
"Do you have any idea who might be responsible?" Emil asked.
A laugh escaped Dante Severino "The list of people who could be responsible is almost endless and it could be anyone on that list" he said.
"Apparently I am on the top of that list" Emil replied with a smile.
Dante Severino said nothing to this for a while then he said "How is Andrea?"
Emil was quiet for a while then he said "She believes I am responsible for the attack"
Dante Severino shook his head and said "Poor child, you should tell her otherwise"
"I am not sure it will matter to her" Emil replied.
Silence fell between the two men then Dante Severino said "Andrea is not a child that has received a lot of love, she has been cast aside for the majority of her life and that was my fault, I am not asking you to fix my mistake but you should try to love her, if any man is worthy of her love, it is definitely you, I was not wrong when I asked you to marry her"
Emil was not sure what to reply to that but words definitely had to be said when such level of trust was given to you.
"I will always protect her, I will try to keep as happy as I can" Emil said.
Dante Severino smiled and Emil thought he looked somewhat older than normal.
"Thank you Emil, thank you very much" Dante Severino said.
Emil smiled and nodded politely at his father in law.
