Chapter 46

Chapter 46
Lorenzo looked at the phone in his hand for a while after the call had ended, he had not expected a call from Andrea and he had definitely not expected her to want to meet him.
He had an idea what she wanted to talk about, now that Dante Severino knew his identity and he was certain had found out from Emil Ferrari so it was only given that Andrea knew this as well.
Lorenzo paused, a smile suddenly appeared on his face, this was good for him, definitely good for him, he could use it to his advantage.
Andrea had some level of trust for his words and he could use that to build a rift between Emil and her.
He was definitely going to see her, his meeting with her will determine what he was going to do with Dante Severino, whatever he decided, one thing was certain, there will be no forgiveness from him.
With that thought in mind, he smiled and walked out of the mansion, he had a meeting to prepare for.

It had taken a lot of bribery and cajoling for Andrea to be able leave the mansion undetected without anyone alerting Emil.
Julia had apparently smiled and flirted with the guards at the gate and it also turned out the driver was interested in a cousin of Julia's who she promised to set him on a date with.
All in all, it had been one trying ordeal but they were finally on their way to the old library.
Andrea was trying not to think about how furious Emil was going to be when he found out she left the house, he will be really mad but she could not afford to think about Emil's anger right now, she had to be sure that the man she had loved was not a murderer.
"We have arrived Donna" the driver said.
"Thank you" Andrea said as Julia helped her out of the car.
The air here felt familiar, it brought back a lot of memories, Lorenzo had brought her here for the first time when she had been so sad and lonely.
He had told her they had the best books she could read and he had not lied, she had read some her best books right here in this library.
She swallowed and wondered if it had been a good idea to come here at all.
"Andrea?" She heard his voice float into her ears.
She turned in the direction from which the voice had come "Lorenzo, you are here" she said.
She heard footsteps and then she felt his presence before her "I will always come if you call Andrea, I have always been yours to command" he said.
Julia slowly faded into the background to let them have their conversation.
Andrea was not sure what to say to that, how could a man this kind to her be after the ruination of her family, it made no sense at all.
"We should find somewhere to sit, we can't possibly have a conversation while standing" Lorenzo said as he took her hand in his.
Andrea felt uncomfortable letting him hold her hand but she let him do it, she was probably feeling guilty because of Emil.
They walked until they got to the sitting area outside the library, the area was secluded and the air was fresh probably because they were a lot of trees in the area.
The library itself was a pleasant sight, a huge gothic building made with old stone, the statues on the gate welcomed every visitor who paid the library a visit.
They sat down and Lorenzo said "Do you want me to get you something?"
Andrea smiled uncomfortably and said "No no thank you, I don't want anything, lets just talk"
Lorenzo smiled but deep down he felt upset, he saw it all, how uncomfortable she was around him, and she hadn't been like that before, she had been comfortable enough to play around him, to laugh with him, to tell him all her secrets but now, she was treating him like a stranger and it was all because of Emil Ferrari, he was definitely going to make sure they were not together for long.
"Okay, what was it that you wanted to talk about?" He asked, his eyes fixed on her face, she looked beautiful as always but though he hated to admit it to himself, she looked better then when she had been living at the Severino mansion, she had always been sad back then and only he could make her happy but now, she looked better than he had ever seen her and that infuriated him since he wasn't the reason she was happy.
Andrea did not know how she was to begin, did you she just go straight to the point and ask him if he had ill intent toward her family or did she beat around the bush until she could think of what she was supposed to say to him.
"You know you can tell me anything right? You always could, you should not stop now" Lorenzo said, he could see the struggle on her face and he was just trying to get her to say what was on her mind.
Andrea nodded and made up her mind, she was here, it was best she just told him what was on her mind.
"Do you know anyone going by the name Lorenzo DeLuca?" She asked him.
Lorenzo smiled but she could not see it after all, his secret was finally out in the open but he had the power to cast it back into the shadows.
It was time to play the part, the smile disappeared and was immediately replaced with a frown.
"DeLuca?? It doesn't sound familiar, I am sorry" he said, his voice sounded genuinely clueless, it sounded as though he had never heard the name Lorenzo DeLuca before.
"Don't lie to me Lorenzo please" Andrea said.
"Why on earth will I lie to Andrea? I am telling you the truth, I swear I have never heard of Lorenzo DeLuca before" he said.
"Do you know anything about the attack on my family's warehouse?" Andrea said.
"What the hell Andrea? How can you even ask me that? Your family has been nothing but kind to me, I have no reason to do anything like that, where is all this coming from?" He asked, it was not difficult to pick on his displeasure, he sounded genuinely hurt and displeased that she was asking him such questions while deep down, his smile was broad.
Andrea immediately began to feel bad, she had known from the beginning that he was innocent but she had wanted to give Emil a chance as well but what had it gotten her? She had ended she had ended up hurting the only friend that she ever had, the one person who had loved her unconditionally.
"I am sorry...." She began but was cut short by Lorenzo.
"It's your husband right? It is Emil who is telling all these things about me I am sure of it, I understand that he might be jealous but that does not give him the right to sully my name, I have tried my best to live a diligent life, one I can be proud of but now, I am suddenly a bad guy and what's most heartbreaking is that you believed it enough to ask me" Lorenzo said
