Chapter 34

Karida rubbed her neck, and her fingerprints were unusually obvious on her white neck.
"When I escaped from the royal capital, I was chased all the way by the rebels, they were afraid that I would expose them and wanted to silence me." Karida sneered, "Fortunately, I escaped back with the life-saving spell given to me by the elders of the witch tribe."
"The witch people already know my identity, but I have betrayed the wolf clan in their eyes, but also with the wolf clan's royal family hatred, the main war faction is happy to accept people like me, I took the opportunity to penetrate their internal, from the mouth of the rebels a high level learned of this matter."
"Did they say anything else?" Sophia asked.
"No more." Karida regrettably spread her hands, "He didn't know much either, just that he was instructed by his superiors to come and grab the seal, and it would have been better if he could have killed you."
"Then what did you come back for this time." Aaron looked at her with a high, oblique gaze.
"The main war faction came to the Wolf Clan to pry information, I am familiar with the Wolf Clan, so I asked for the job to come back and bring back the information by the way."
Karida said flatly, "I will not betray the will of my father, so I will not betray the Wolf Clan."
"I will take my father's revenge myself, and when it's all over, if I'm not dead, I will come back to be punished." She gave them both a deep look, "They will definitely continue to send people to assassinate you over there, take care of yourselves."
She no longer hesitated and turned to leave.
Aaron didn't stop her, his expression cold as he stared at the stone on the ground, his mind thinking about the message she brought.
"Don't worry." Sophia took his arm, "If we hear from her again, she'll contact us again."
Aaron nodded, and the two sneaked back to the residence that the Chief of the Retaining Moon had prepared for them. Selina pouted defenselessly to sleep, not even knowing that the two people under the same roof as her had gone out once and come back.
Lying on the big bed, Sophia communicated with the wolf in her mind.
The wolf said, 'Since their birth, the wolf clan has been bathed in the shelter of the moon goddess, and some others have been favored by the goddess to gain a stronger physique and strength, in addition to finding their destined ones.'
Sophia pondered, ''The wolf race lost the shelter of the goddess at least from a hundred years ago, what is the reason that the goddess of the moon no longer sheltered the wolf race? Is it really because someone did something wrong and offended the goddess, as everyone guessed, that the goddess refused to continue to shelter the wolf clan."
Wolf: 'After all, the number of clansmen who can be favored is only a small number, and it is hard to justify such a reason as doing something wrong and angering the goddess, did something happen a hundred years ago?
Sophia let out a bitter laugh: "This is what I find most strange, during this time in the palace, I read all the royal history books, but there is not a single description of a hundred years ago, even the description of the ancestors of the wolf clan is very little, as if all the history has been covered up."
Wolf: 'Since I became conscious, I got some memories imprinted in the inheritance, and most of these memories are related to the goddess, and I once captured such a message that the coexistence of human and wolf is a gift given to the wolf race by the goddess of the moon.'
'If the Moon Goddess really stopped sheltering the Wolf Clan because she was offended, then why didn't she take back all the abilities bestowed on the Wolf Clan, instead we are now not affected at all.'
"You're right." Sophia agreed, "There must be a big inside story here, they said the seal is a very important thing, maybe we can find a solution from the seal, but the best way is to first figure out what all happened a hundred years ago."
'Among the wolf clan, the purer the bloodline is, the longer they can live, and now that a hundred years have passed, I think it's hard to find someone who has lived that long and knows about it.'
"No matter what, we have to try." Sophia sighed, "I think Aaron must care too, he's been working hard to get the wolves sheltered again, he's just been working in the wrong direction."
Aaron, who was lying with his back to her, was not at peace either, this was the first time in all these years that he had heard news related to the goddess' asylum.
His father had been trying when he was alive, hoping to get the shelter of the Moon Goddess again, but unfortunately, he had never succeeded, and he had been eager to accomplish it for him, for his father's wish, and for the people of the Wolf Clan.
A pair of soft hands wrapped up from behind him and hugged his waist. Aaron's mood calmed down at once and held the hands that were hugging him.
"Are you still thinking about what Karida said?" Sophia's soft voice came.
Aaron answered and whispered, "We have a chance to regain the shelter of the Goddess, don't we?"
"Of course." Sophia laughed, "Aaron can definitely lead all the people of the Wolf Clan to regain the Goddess' shelter, I've always believed so."
"I have a few ideas; would you like to listen to them?" Sophia said softly.
Sophia told him her guesses with the wolf, and Aaron rolled over and hugged her, affirming and praising her ideas.
"I think we can separate the people to investigate, draw some of them to find out if there is anyone who knows what happened a hundred years ago, and in draw some of them to investigate about the seal." Sophia's thoughts were clear, one by one, smoothed out.
"In addition, it is best to send someone to keep an eye on the movement of the rebels, send a message to Karida to ask her to probe those people to see where their base really is, I have a hunch that maybe we can find important clues in their base."
Aaron nodded and said with a frown, "I suspect that someone among the rebels knows why the Wolves lost the goddess' shelter, otherwise they couldn't have suddenly come to grab the seal."
"Then we'll just defend and not attack now, have someone keep an eye on them, we're sure to find something."
Aaron hugged Sophia tightly, lowered his head to take her lips and lick the kiss, Sophia wanted to hide, but gave up resistance because of his words.
"I've always felt that as long as you're by my side, I'm lucky, because you're my biggest blessing."
So am I.
Sophia opened her mouth slightly and let his tongue slide in, taking all of her breath, letting her drown in his scent.
Aaron's knees squeezed between Sophia's legs, their bodies pressed together, not a single gap left.
Sophia drew in a huge breath as she was released, almost unable to break free from the kiss, which was more lingering than ever.
"This is in someone else's territory, don't you dare." Sophia warned as she pushed against his chest.
"How can I call it messing around when I'm intimate with my queen." Aaron resentfully tucked her into his arms, but respected her wishes and didn't take the next step.
"Don't you forget the five days you promised me." Sophia poked him in the face in amusement.
Aaron sulked and didn't say anything, the always strong man was acting like a child because of this humiliating thing, which made Sophia feel new and a bit helpless to take him.
She patted his chest, saw that he did not move and did not say anything, so she could only helplessly come to his ear and whispered a word.
Aaron's eyes instantly lit up and he quickly said, "That's what you said."
They did not stay here for too long, after accepting the hospitality of the chief of the Retaining Moon, they departed the next day, destined for the White Moon community, in order to send Selina home.
"Why is this going back!" Selina unhappily squatted in the carriage with a gloomy face.
She didn't want to go back to be chased and beaten by her father, she was so ashamed.
"Really don't want to go back?" Aaron asked.
"No!" Selina replied firmly.
"Then, turn around and go to the next group, it just so happens that I don't want to make things difficult for myself and help you persuade your father not to force you to find a man." Aaron calmly pushed open the window, to order the carriage to turn around.
Selina hurriedly swooped over and closed the window.
"I want to go back! I want to go back, of course I want to go back, I miss my father!"
"Then you must have heard it wrong." Selina calmly lied, "I just said that I especially want to go back, otherwise my dad would miss me."
She slowly moved over and secretly tugged on the corner of her coat, whispering, "When you arrive home later, you must help me to stop my dad, you must help me."
"Why?" Sophia asked curiously.
"Because it will be chased by her father." Aaron, who had his eyes closed over there to recuperate, sneered and answered the question for her.
Selina laughed awkwardly and shrank to the side without speaking.
Sophia was still puzzled, but this puzzlement was soon answered.
The people of the White Moon pack had received the news early in the morning and were waiting for their carriage on the main road outside, including Selina's father, the chief of the White Moon Wolf Pack.
Sophia jumped out of the carriage with a red face being carried by Aaron and received a warm welcome from the White Moon clan chief.
"Your Majesty, that unconscious one in my family is in trouble for you to take care of." Alpha of the White Moon Clan said ashamedly, "And gave you so much trouble."
"You are welcome, you took care of me a lot at first, Selina and I grew up together, it's only right that I take care of her." Aaron responded politely.
The white moon Alpha looked behind them and suddenly his eyes glared, Sophia looked back and saw Selina showing her head out of the carriage.
The white moon alpha smiled grimly: "Want me to beat you up?"
The rest of the White Moon group saw this image and took a step back with a tacit agreement. Then, the White Moon Alpha pulled a cane out of nowhere and threw it on the ground with a brush, startling Sophia.
Aaron hugged Sophia to the side, a look of hilarity, Sophia only then understood what they said, shocked to see the white moon Alpha flung cane chasing after Selina smoke.
Selina screamed and ran out, the people of the community were very used to seeing this scene, nothing else to look at, each doing their own thing.
"Your Majesty the Queen, please come with us to rest first." Selina's mother invited with a smile, completely pretending that the nonsensical husband and daughter did not exist.
Aaron readily agreed and led Sophia into the familiar house.
