Chapter 40
The night came quickly.
They found a windbreak and nestled behind a rock.
Aaron took off his jacket and spread it on the ground, let Sophia lie on his thick jacket, hugged her from behind and warmed her with his body heat.
Sophia looked at the stone with her eyes open, and he looked at Sophia with his eyes open, both of them unable to sleep.
'Don't you think that now would be a good time to explain?' Aaron's wolf silently reminded.
Right oh.
''Wait a minute.'' The wolf called out to him who was just about to speak, 'You know what you have to explain?'
"I don't have anything with that woman." Aaron said honestly.
Wolf painfully tried to close his eyes, but couldn't, and could only resign himself to saying, 'If you dare to say that, I guarantee Sophia will immediately turn around and leave.'
"Is my past really that important?" Aaron asked.
'It's not important.' Wolf said, 'But your attitude is important.'
"I see."
Wolf was uneasy and held his breath to hear what Aaron would say.
Aaron leaned his face over, resting on her shoulder, and whispered, "Sophia, I'm sorry."
Sophia froze for a moment, not understanding why he was apologizing.
"I'm sorry, I'm the one who made you sad." Aaron said solemnly.
"If you're trying to explain about that woman, that's not necessary." Sophia's voice suddenly went cold.
"No, I'm not trying to explain that." Aaron said, "Sophia, I know I made you misunderstand a lot because of my carelessness, I thought you didn't need to know about my past, and I feel sorry for hurting you with this kind of thinking."
"I didn't think you would have a misunderstanding because of this, it's my fault." Aaron hugged her tightly, "You are my wife, the one I want to love for the rest of my life and be together forever, I should be honest with you, whether it's my past, present or future, you have the right to know."
"Sophia, having your future is all that matters to me."
"Aaron," Sophia's voice was a little hard, "I'm a sensitive person at heart, I don't want the person I love to be deceitful to me in any way, deceit is inherently a betrayal to me, and I know that's outrageous."
"Not outrageous." Aaron whispered.
"I'm careful, I'm jealous, I want the person I love to have eyes only for me, my grace, gentleness, generosity, kindness, that's all for others, for the person I love, I can't do that."
"No, you're really kind." Aaron corrected her, "Even though your sister and fiancé betrayed you, you chose to forgive them, you can be kind enough to block a bucket of cold water for a servant, to feel sad for someone you didn't know in the first place, to make people like Selina who only distinguish between good and evil like you, to make everyone who meets you feel at ease."
"You're the kind of person who is good from the core." Aaron kissed her neck, "I love your kindness and I love your carefulness and jealousy, I love you in every way, it's not what kind of person you are that I love, it's only you that I love in yourself."
"What I love is Sophia, and you are Sophia."
Sophia's eyes reddened, and Sophia forgave Aaron the moment he said his first words.
"It's my fault." Sophia's eyes were red, holding back the tears that were about to come out, "If I hadn't played a little temper, you wouldn't have been in this danger."
Aaron turned her around and kissed her almost reverently on the lips.
"I would be hot-headed for you. In my heart, you are my goddess, the god I believe in religiously."
"Besides, it's really not your fault." Aaron was a little embarrassed, "I didn't trust you enough, I always thought you would leave me, so I was confused."
"I will never leave you."
The two of them embraced each other tightly, finding a warm harbor in the cold world, turning into the hottest lava in each other's arms, burning every inch of their skin.
If not for Aaron's strong self-control, they almost had a passionate sex in this situation where there is danger on all sides.
The two of them can only face each other with a bitter smile, take the leaves and go to fill a stomach of cold water, finally calm down.
This sleep still did not sleep peacefully, in the middle of the night, you heard the movement and saw the shaky lights.
......
Half a day ago, Susan received a very interesting letter.
It was written on the letter that the king of the wolf tribe would be in danger, and even the location was clearly written.
Susan didn't know what the person who sent the letter to her meant, but she was moved, it was an opportunity for her, as long as she could take the opportunity to save Aaron, Aaron would have to acknowledge her kindness, and in turn, it would be easy to do something about it.
If she could make Aaron owe her a favor this time, she must humiliate Sophia and let her experience the pain more deeply.
She waited for Carl to fall asleep at night, then got up from bed, put on some light clothes and slipped out.
She didn't notice that just as she got up, Carl's eyes opened beside her.
She took advantage of the night to walk in the direction the letter had directed her, and soon she was far from the group when Carl, who had been following her, sulked and rushed up, calling out to her.
"Susan!"
Susan stiffly turned her head, looked at the man who should have been sleeping in bed, and said awkwardly, "Brother Carl, why are you out?"
"I saw you running out in the middle of the night without sleeping and was a little worried about you." Carl looked at her worriedly, "What's wrong with you, why did you come so far away?"
"I couldn't sleep and I wanted to go for a walk." Susan babbled.
"You can walk here?" Carl asked, not quite convinced.
"Yeah, I just wanted to walk a little farther, and I don't have anything to do tomorrow anyway, so it's okay to go out and have some fun." Susan said it so seriously that Carl almost believed it.
"Then you should call me, or I'll worry if I don't see you in the morning."
Susan was a little anxious, the more she looked at Carl the more nagging she felt, not understanding why she had to grab such a useless man with Sophia in the first place, not even a toe of the king.
"So now you know, don't worry about me, brother Carl, you go back first, I'm walking around a bit, I'll be back soon." Susan said perfunctorily.
"I'd better stay with you." Carl decided, "walking around in the woods at night, I don't feel comfortable with you alone."
Susan can not refuse, can only let him follow, feel that he is an eyesore, and can not directly tell him, you go, I'm going to seduce the king to go, when seduced to the king I will kick you out.
The pace of her unconsciously accelerated, walking until the dawn did not stop.
Carl felt that something was wrong and caught up with her and asked, "Susan, still not going back? Where do you want to go?"
Susan gave him a perfunctory smile: "Brother Carl, you do not need to worry about me, if you are tired, go back."
Carl shook his head hurriedly, "I'm not tired."
Carl didn't think as much as she did, he just simply felt that Susan was not treating him as well as she used to since she came back, he had lost a Sophia and couldn't lose his mate again, so he kept a very close eye on her.
If he knew that Susan's target had now become Aaron, I'm afraid he would be furious.
When he was thinking about how to persuade Susan back, there was a movement in the forest in front of him.
Sophia and Aaron fled all night, was very tired, see the two people rushing out of the woods, more tired.
They never expected to meet Susan in such a place.
Susan was very happy to see Aaron, thinking that the person who sent the letter really did not lie to her, she is expected to be the queen, but did not expect that Sophia actually followed Aaron out together, her face immediately fell in half.
"Sister, what a coincidence!" Susan squeezed out a smile and greeted her, as intimate as if she hadn't torn her face off from Sophia.
When Carl saw them, he had a vague sense of what Susan was out for, but didn't think twice about it because he saw Sophia.
"I didn't expect to meet you guys here." Carl also said with a smile, saw Sophia's body speckled with blood, was shocked, tried to pull her, "Sophia, what happened, how did you get hurt?"
Aaron immediately stepped in front of Sophia, blocking Carl's outstretched hand.
Carl awkwardly withdrew his hand and asked eagerly, "What's wrong with you guys, why are you all carrying injuries?"
"Your Majesty, there is a lot of blood on your clothes!"
Susan also exclaimed and jumped up, trying to grab Aaron, but Aaron dodged.
Aaron hugged Sophia and took two steps back, whispering in her ear, "What's wrong with your sister and brother-in-law, why do they all like to jump on people."
"Maybe it's a disease that will kill you if you don't jump on people." Sophia glanced at them and said with a sneer.
Aaron nodded in agreement, he was not a fool, he could not see what they had in mind?
"We're going back to Meta Moon," Sophia answered them directly.
"Mom and Dad will be very happy that my sister is going back." Susan said falsely, "Go back or go to my room to change clothes first, let mom and dad see sister this covered in blood, if they are washed up, it will not be good."
"Or you thoughtful." Sophia smiled at her.
Since she wanted to play the game of sisterly camaraderie, she would play with her.
Behind her, the chasers arrived again, and Aaron picked up Sophia and ran forward as fast as he could.
"Let's hide first!"
"Wait for me!" Susan shouted and caught up.
They were going to run in the direction of Meta Moon, but at some point, there was a lot of uncomfortable air in that direction, and they were blocked all the way to a mountain, and they didn't even know where they were anymore.
Susan only knew to panic at this time and questioned Sophia: "Sister, what kind of trouble did you get into again, so many people came after you."
"Nothing to do with you." Sophia glanced at her and warned, "Don't ask more questions about things you shouldn't."
Susan was so angry that she stomped her foot and turned her head to pout to Aaron again, "The King ......"
"Shut up." Aaron's reply was more direct.
Susan dared not speak again and sat down reluctantly.
Sophia still had doubts about their presence there, and since she had temporarily escaped her pursuers anyway, she didn't mind talking to Susan a little more.
"Susan, how did you guys get there?" Sophia asked, seemingly unintentionally.
