Chapter 44
"Wouldn't it be too much of a stretch." Sophia said worriedly, "You're hurt badly."
Aaron smiled confidently, that energy of looking at everyone and everything out of the corner of his eye appeared again.
"It's not even close to the battlefield."
Sophia then suddenly remembered that Aaron was someone who had gone to battle, a hero who had led the wolf army to war with the witch clan.
But she was still uneasy, how could she not worry about the person she put on her heart.
"Don't worry." Aaron kissed her ear lightly, "We'll all be fine."
Sophia nodded, loosened her grip on his hand and took a step back, watching the surroundings warily.
As they carefully made their way through the forest, Sophia's eyes rested on the branches of a tall tree.
"Wait." She whispered.
Several people paused.
Sophia stomped her heels on the ground, and her swift bouncing power made her scamper high at once, and her transformed wolf claws dug into the tree, using her strength to jump onto a branch.
The branch swayed slightly, and Sophia carefully removed the cloth tied in the dark place.
She nodded at Aaron, tapped her foot on the branch, and jumped down.
She opened her hand, revealing the cloth with the wolf's head drawn on it, and said gruffly, "Those killers were here."
"Or Susan and I will go back to the wolves and report, you guys hide, we'll bring someone to rescue you as soon as possible." Carl said.
"You guys can't get out." Aaron reasoned, "These killers won't let anyone leave this forest, if you two run into the killers alone, you have no chance of survival."
Carl blushed hard but had to admit he was right.
"For safety's sake, let's all move together." Sophia decided on the arrangement for everyone.
In the following half an hour, they found a few more strips of cloth in the trees and moved more carefully.
Suddenly, Susan accidentally kicked a rope, the subtle movement was very obvious in the silence, and Sophia felt bad at once.
Sure enough, a dozen arrows burst out from among the hidden leaves, driving the wind and whistling as they stabbed towards them.
"Watch out!!!" Sophia shouted.
The crowd rushed to dodge the arrows, except Susan, the other three are not weak in combat, easily dodged, good thing Carl remembered her fiancée is a rookie, in time to help her Susan a hand, so that she was not killed by arrows.
Aaron a handsome face tight, sharp gaze shot to Susan, Susan body stiffened, there is an illusion that the next second will be crushed to death.
"Go!" Sophia shouted lowly.
Susan scrambled to follow them, and her foot accidentally stepped on the trap again.
Sophia, who was always gentle, wanted to curse.
It was so evil that the rebels had made so many traps to disgust them while they were chasing them.
The sound of dense footsteps came from the forest, Sophia and Aaron looked at each other, their faces didn't look too good, the killer was coming.
Aaron reacted quickly, rushed to a place where there were fewer footsteps, sharp claws instead of long, strong fingers, pierced the throats of the two people in the way.
Sophia immediately followed.
Susan where to see such a scene, face immediately became white, panic to follow the two of them, there is a consciousness to avoid the blood stains.
Carl were dragged by her to cast a hand, did not hold back almost lost his temper.
They fought while backing up, slowly exiting the jungle, behind them was the rising sun, but the faces of the people were very ugly.
In front of them, there was a broken cliff, and they had no way out.
"They can't run away, kill them!" The killers had smiles of triumph on their faces, and then pounced on their prey brutally.
Sophia had never found a fight so painful, not only to avoid the enemy, but also to prevent her teammates from pitting themselves.
Susan, like an untutored child, only knew to shriek and dodge to her side, not daring to attack at all, and drew all the enemies around her to her side.
Sophia was suspicious that she was doing it on purpose.
Sophia gritted her teeth and felt that this would not work, so she turned her head to look at Aaron again.
Aaron had turned into a giant wolf and distanced himself from their side of the battlefield, attracting more enemies to attack him.
The pressure on his side was much greater than her own, and she couldn't let him be distracted.
The wolf that had been staying quietly in consciousness suddenly spoke up, his voice a little grumpy.
''Sophia, something is wrong with this sister of yours! She's doing it on purpose!'
"I can see that." Sophia's voice was gloomy, "She trained with me since we were young, petulant is a bit petulant, but not retarded, there is no way she won't resist at all."
'Why don't you just pick a fight with her, use her as a shield, share the pressure, you are not the way to resist this hard.' Wolf said worriedly.
"No way!" Sophia refused without hesitation.
"Susan is forcing me to move her, I can't fall for her ploy."
'Then what do we do now!' Wolf said anxiously.
Sophia glanced at Aaron, gritted her teeth, and hardily led Susan into the forest, completely distancing herself from Aaron.
As she stepped into the woods, Sophia looked for an opportunity to get closer to Susan.
"I'll make you regret it if you screw up again." Her voice leaked out of the corner of her mouth, very cold.
Susan wasn't surprised, she did it so obviously, she knew it would be obvious to Sophia, but she did it anyway.
She laughed softly.
"Sister, if you want me to regret it, then you have to have a life to make me regret it." She whispered.
Susan suddenly took two steps backwards, as if she hadn't stood still, and stepped on a trap behind her, and a wooden cage fell from the tree, looking like it was going to trap her inside.
At this time, she grabbed Sophia with force, brought her back a bit, and jumped out of the way with her own quick movements.
Sophia did not expect her to turn the other cheek, directly and explicitly harm her, a moment not defended, was covered by the cage a right, the wooden cage has spikes, do not know what the top coated, stuck into Sophia's skin.
She hit the cage hard, trying to break open the cage to get out.
Seeing the people around her, she gritted her teeth and turned directly into a wolf, propping the cage open, and her body was covered with bruises.
She wanted to leave in a hurry, but she didn't want her body to go weak and automatically changed from her wolf form back to human, falling to the ground and being caught by the rebels.
''Sophia! What's going on!'' The wolf lost his voice in his consciousness and shouted.
Sophia's brain tingled a little and tried several times without having the strength to turn into a wolf again.
She gritted her teeth and did her best to stay awake.
"The wooden thorns are poisoned; I don't have the strength!"
The wolf was in a hurry and said loudly, "Give me your body, I'll try!"
Sophia obediently relaxed her spirit and gave her body to the wolf in her consciousness.
The wolf took over the body and in a flash exploded with a burst of strength and actually did break free from the rebel holding her down, but the strength only lasted for a split second, and immediately after that, she fell down.
''No!'' Wolf was going crazy with anxiety; she didn't think it would be good for Sophia to fall into the hands of these people.
More than herself, Sophia was worried about Aaron. If she fell into the hands of these people, Aaron would definitely be constrained, what should she do?
Her anxious gaze fell on Susan, who was still trying to escape, and was still trying to figure out how to use Susan to get out when she saw her being knocked down and tied up.
Sophia was completely speechless and looked at her like she was a retard.
Susan actually didn't really think of a way out for herself while she was plotting against her.
"Stupid." Sophia grunted coldly and couldn't help but scold.
Susan refused to admit defeat and scolded back.
"Better than you, at least you fell down before me!"
Sophia didn't want to argue with her, her mind raced, but desperately realized that there was absolutely no other way to get out of this without solving the poison on her body.
The rebels didn't give her any more time, rudely tying them both up and taking them to the edge of the bluff.
The leader looked at the battlefield, Aaron attracted most of the firepower and broke away from this side of the battlefield, leading the men farther and farther away from the battlefield, having no time to pay attention to the situation here.
Apart from the captured queen and a woman with some brain problems, only Carl, the heir to the Meta Moon clan, was left struggling at the edge of the cliff.
The heir?
The leader's eyes lit up for a moment.
As a rebel, it was a bonus to kill one more heir of the wolf pack.
So he shouted, "Stop!"
Everyone looked over.
After hearing his voice, the others didn't hesitate and retreated to his side, solidly surrounding Sophia and Susan.
Carl was still a bit unresponsive until he saw Sophia and Susan, who were caught, and his face turned ugly.
"Let them go!" Carl shouted angrily.
The leader laughed loudly and deliberately asked him, "Who do you want me to let go?"
Carl's fists clenched, staring dead at the leader, pursing his lips without speaking.
One is the first love, one is mate, which one he does not want to let go, and if he can save Sophia here, will her eyes fall on him again?
Thinking about it, a flash of excitement ignited in Carl's eyes.
He thought very well, but their enemies were not going to give him a chance.
The leader looked at the silent Carl and grinned, his fingers picked up Susan's chin and said to him, "This is your mate, right?"
Susan gave Carl a startled and frightened expression, Carl's hand trembled and did not speak.
"This is your lover whom you have known for more than ten years, right?"
The leader went to pick Sophia's chin again, and before he could get to it he was almost kicked in the lower half of her body by Sophia's violent rise.
The leader immediately raised both hands to the ice-cold-faced Sophia.
"Take it easy, I'm not a hooligan, I'm not touching you."
Sophia sneered, pretending to be condescending and turned her face away, heart relieved.
She was so little strength left, wasting it in this situation, more or less regretting it.
But she didn't want anyone else to touch her.
"What the hell do you want?!" Carl said in a deep voice.
The leader clapped his hands, and the man holding Sophia and Susan immediately moved them both to the edge of the cliff, and Susan let out a scream of fright.
"Brother Carl, help me!"
Carl couldn't resist taking a step forward, and was stopped by the leader.
"If you take another step forward, I'll throw them both off!"
Carl hurriedly stopped.
"Relax, I just want to play a game with you." The leader smiled badly and pointed at Carl, "I'll give you a chance to choose, I'll let only one of them two go, who will you choose?"
Carl's face got even uglier.
"Brother Carl." Susan was really frightened, her eyes glittered with tears and she cried out pitifully, "Brother Carl, save me!"
She looked at the leader again and said in a trembling voice, "It's useless for you to catch us, just let us go."
"It's not up to you to say whether it's useful or not." The leader had no scruples about her, rubbing her chin with abandon and smiling wickedly at Carl, "What a delicate beauty, it hurts me to look at her, don't you think?"
