Chad pulled away from me and I couldn't help how embarrassed I was by everything. He had gone ahead go kiss me in public, without caring that people could see us.

He still had his hands on my waist when he stared directly into my eyes, "let's go somewhere private to talk, I brought my car."

I wanted to leave the environment as soon as possible and I knew that arguing with him was only going to make things worse rather than better, so I nodded in agreement, just wanting to be far from the scene.

"Thank you." He said and held my hand in his leading me out of there and towards his car.

The black jeep was parked opposite Dtamps and Papers. When we got in the vehicle, I waited for him to start talking and when there was nothing from him, I decided to open the discussion.

"So how did you get here so early, don't you go to work today?"

"I did." He smiled, "it's you Nikki, it is so predictable."

"What if I was already in?" I wondered.

"I would have waited, I knew you wouldn't have answered my phone calls besides, like I said, it's you were talking about here it's pretty predictable."

"I guess you're right." I smiled, "but what was the real reason you had to come here?"

"I thought deep about your words. It's not like I don't have something for you." He took my hands on his, "but really I was just lost, I haven't felt this in a long time. You know how it was, I was with Rebecca for a pretty long time and then you suddenly started doing these things to me, I don't know I was just taken aback, that's all." He sighed.

"So your point now is?"

"Please don't leave me. I'll be in a relationship with you if that is something you really want. I just hate how I spent the last days feeling like. I could barely sleep, and even when I did, you were all I saw and I just…" he trailed off and moved closer to me. He amused me when he leaned forward and rested his head against my chest literally on my breast but I calmed down and put my arms around him, hugging him tight.

"Wow Chad, that is just… I really don't know what I'm supposed to say to this." I was dumbfounded.

"Just give me a chance." He said, his ear pressing against my breast. I had no way to tell him that I found this action discomforting but at the same time, I loved what it felt like.

"I don't know what that means." I admitted to him.

He sat upright and eyed me from head to toe. "Come back to work with me. You really don't have to do anything. I just want to know that you're constantly nearby." He said.

"What has gotten into you?" I asked him out of real curiosity. He was being a completely different man and I had a lot of questions that I wanted him to answer honestly.

"I sound like a crazy man but if there is anything, I'm being honest."

"I don't know about that."

"Don't you feel the same way about me" I caught the look of disappointment in his eyes and did exactly what he did to me. I took his lips and gave him a long, hard kiss.

"I'll take that as a yes." He said with a smile. "Should we go somewhere to eat?"

"I still have to go to work." I reminded him, doing my seatbelt regardless.

"Are we still doing that?" He teased me.

"Maybe, I don't know." I laughed, knowing every well that I was definitely making Cornelius see me as an automatic foe.

I thought about what had just happened with Chad and felt a surge of excitement, he had cared enough to come all the way to my new place just to stop me from taking a new job and if that wasn't the sweetest thing, I couldn't tell what was.

I tried to keep my gaze out the window the entire time so I could avoid having to make conversation with him.

I loved how he didn't take us to an uncomfortable environment. It was a small, simple restaurant not too far from Stamps and Papers.

"Did you have breakfast yet?" He asked me out of curiosity.

"No." I shook my head negatively.

"Good, you can have anything you want." He smiled.

"Ooh okay!" I rubbed my palms against themselves, licking my lower lip. I picked the menu up and scanned through it, "you're going to pay right?" I raised one eyebrow at him.

"Yes." He nodded.

"Okay, so that's on free food." I said to myself while Chad waved a waiter over.

"Please take our orders." He said to the man that was dressed in a simple shirt tucked into denim pants.

"Yes sir."

"I'll have a Turkey with salad." Chad told him.

"Noted," the man whose badge read Sam, said as he took the note down.

"And what should I get for you ma'am?" He turned to look at me.

I glared at him for a second. "Okay, first off, I'm not old, don't refer to me as some ma'am. And I'll have spaghetti, with a full chicken meal drenched in ketchup. Then I'll take two tacos and one sandwich to go, a tropical drink made from all the fruit drinks you gave available, shawarma with excessive mayonnaise and three hot dogs, one chocolate pudding for dessert and a bottle of cold water."

Chad and Sam stared at me dumbfoundedly and I looked up at Sam, "it's free food." I grinned at him. If Chad was ready to carry on with this relationship, he needed to know my true colours.

I watched him with scrutiny when Sam left to get our orders but instead of a look of disgust, he seemed to be pretty amused instead.

"You don't look like you eat that much to be honest." He commented.

"Oh trust me, I suck my tummy in, all the time, don't be deceived." I smiled at him. "Besides," I changed the subject, folding my hands and leaning my jaw against them with my elbows on the table, "I want something else too."

"What is it?" He wondered.

"Remember that huge guy beneath your belt?" I winked, "I want to have a taste of him again."
