Chapter 8

I could hear shuffling around the room, which prompted me to open up my eyes and I saw Marge walking around and opening up the curtains and letting light into the room. I covered my face with a pillow.

Then I heard the curtain of the window close to my bedroom open up also. Suddenly I felt her tapping me, trying to get me awake.

I refused to move a muscle, what I didn't know was that Marge was a very persistent person.

She kept on tapping, till I let out a frustrated groan and threw the pillow away and I stared her with a look of tiredness.

"Ah you are finally awake," she said putting her hands together, which made me roll my eyes.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Didn't Alpha Kurt tell you? You and him are going for your first ever official public sighting as Alpha and Luna of Nightfall Pack."

It was then it my brain decided to replay the conversation that we had the previous night. I also remember that I had a plan to expose him as the douchebag that he truly is.

"Oh right, the public sighting. How could I ever forget." I said which made Marge just nod her head in agreement.

"Yes, that. Anyways we have prepared a couple of dresses for you too look at. We also have the hairdresser and make-up artist on standby."

Then Marge clapped her hands and in came maids bringing different dresses for me to put on.

"Shall we begin?"

****
I looked in the mirror and I was completely shock that I could ever look like that. I mean was that really me, I didn't even recognize myself, it was almost as if I was looking at a stranger.

The gown was half cut gown that came with a corset that held my waist in place, the tying of the corset didn't take that much time due to me having quite the slim figure.

The lower part of the dress, was pleated at the end and had flowers scattered around it. The cream color blended with my skin color perfectly. The makeup artist took her time to make sure that the makeup wasn't too light at the same time wasn't too heavy.

The hair stylist made sure that my hair didn't frizz up, thanks to the summer heat. She curled the ends of my hair and it had a healthy bounce to it.

Marge was standing next to me like a proud mother. "You look absolutely stunning," she complimented.

"You think so?" I asked my gaze focusing on her.

"I know so. Now shall we go and meet your mate Prince Kurt." I was so caught up with how beautiful my overall appearance was that I completely forgot the reason of me dressing up like this for.

"Yeah, right let's go." The tone of my voice didn't sound too enthusiastic.

Marge held my hand and gently led me outside, and I came down the stairs walking like a princess.

At tbe bottom of the stairs stood Kurt who's gaze landed on me and he looked at me like I was a completely different person. I mean I don't blame for looking at me that way.

I got to the bottom of the stairs, Kurt stretched out his hands, and placed my hands on his much larger owns.

He kissed the back of my hand. "You look absolutely beautiful, would have thought that a little bit of make over could change a once average looking woman to a very beautiful one."

My jaw clenched at the back handed compliment that I received from, but instead I decided that I would leave my plans for later on that day.

"Thank you very much," I said with such sarcasm that I was sure that he picked it up, but choose to ignore it.

He led me outside where instead of a car, a chariot was waited for us, that had white horses that looked like they had been trained properly. Talk about class.

We both entered inside the chariot and then the horse rider hit the horses and then we went outside the large mansion and onto the streets.

***
The ride was filled with us stopping and greeting a lot of people, both young and old. We even stopped at a hospital to honor the men and women that tried their best to keep the pack safe.

Then we got to where the Omegas were living and I never knew how far this place was. It was deep inside the large area.

"Isn't the place where the Omegas are staying a bit too far?" I said in my mind. I didn't even know that I was thinking out loud until Kurt answered me.

"Of cause they would be deep inside. If an attack was happen they are the weakest amongst everyone, so it's for their own safety that they stay deep inside this place." He explained.

I mean he was right, but this was straight up ostracization. I mean I know that Omegas were at the bottom of the food chain, but I didn't know that it was this bad.

Suddenly the horse came to an abrupt stop. We both looked at each other wondering what caused the chariot to stop.

Kurt got out of the car and I followed suit, curious as to what the problem was.

When I got to the front we saw a small pup that was laying on the floor, it looked like he was at the verge of dying.

"Sire, this pup is in dire need of medical attention." The driver said.

I looked at Kurt and he stood still, as if contemplating what he wanted to do.

"I have a very important meeting at the Omega level. However as the Alpha of this pack I can't afford to leave one of my subjects to die. It won't be the right thing to do."

I looked at him surprised that he even had a heart. He picked up the pup in his arms, carrying the pup into the chariot he gently place the pup on his legs, being careful with the pup.

We turn around and head to the hospital in a bid to check on what is wrong with him.
