Chapter 21 The Truth Before
John was shocked and then laughed.
"You are truly my sister."
She shared the similarities with him.
Sandra was a bit anxious and grabbed her brother's hand, seemed she suddenly remembered something.
"Brother, did you really hurt Charlize's eyes?"
John looked at her oddly.
Sandra was embarrassed and realized she crossed the line. And then she let his hand go but still repeated the question.
"Did you?"
John felt funny but also annoyed.
"She was just a kidnapped mistress of my step-father. Why should I blind her eyes?"
Sandra affirmed again. "Really?"
"...... "
John raised his eyebrows, "Did I ever cheat you?"
"... No. "
Sandra was relieved and more certain that it was just a trick Charlize played to separate her and Clinton.
But, even if she told Clinton, will he believe her?"
The expression on her face changed, but at the same time she heard the whisper at her ear.
"To sign the truce agreement with him is like to ask the tiger for its skin. If you do want to help me, I have a better solution."
Her pupils diluted.
And shook her head reflectively, "No!"
John didn't expect that she could reject firmly. He was a bit unpleasant.
"Are you protecting him? Look how much he hurt you! He forced you to abort the baby, and what's more, he loves someone else. Do you really want to share a same husband with the other woman?"
"Abort the baby" sounded so sharp in her ears and her face turned pale immediately. She looked up suddenly to her brother.
John realized he had a slip tongue and then kept silence.
After a while, her trembling voice sounded in her own ears.
"He was not good to me... But at that time, it was the Greens that got me out of the orphanage."
It seemed that it reminded her of the unbearable past, so that she spoke slowly.
"When I was bullied, stared at, and almost got raped by the principle, I thought you would come to save me, but no one showed up."
Every word she said hurt John badly with grave sadness in his eyes.
"Sandra, I didn't know... I thought."
After they left, she was living in such a life.
Sandra took a deep breath and then interrupted him.
"I owe to the Greens so that I can't betray them."
John's face went colder and colder.
He sneered.
"You didn't want to betray the Greens? I don't think you want to betray Clinton, don't you?"
It was the key to the point. Sandra kept quiet, didn't nod or shake her head.
Half lifted eyelashes, a quiet and beautiful face was buried partly in her dark hair.
John frowned his eyebrows, disagreeing.
After consideration, he spoke slowly.
"Originally, I didn't want to tell you, but you really don't know why our father died?"
Sandra was surprised that her brother mentioned it suddenly.
At that time, she was still too young. She knew vaguely that her father was killed for feud. But her mother didn't allow her to ask and then afterwards left with her brother.
What happened later was that she was taken in by Mr. Green.
In that way, no one knew the reason that her father was killed.
Did her brother mean that?
Sandra stopped her guess immediately and shook her head as if she tried to pretend it wasn't possible, her throat was dry.
"I don't know."
John's lips opened and then spoke calmly, with sort of mercy.
"You are right, it was the Greens."
His mother told him before she passed away on her death day.
At that time their father was working in the Wilsons. Because he knew some secrets of the Greens, so that he was killed as a witness during the fight.
However, in order to keep them safe, their mother even dared not to show up for his memorial ceremony and married to Jon Wilson in great grief. From then on taking revenge was seeded in her heart.
Because she didn't want Sandra, a girl, to be in the underground world anymore, so that she had to abandon her.
But she never thought the Greens adopted her eventually.
Such an accidental coincidence!
"How could it be..."
Sandra's eyelashes were shivering strongly. She could only take light breath to avoid pain at her chest.
It was like listening to someone else's story when she was watching his lips open and close.
How could it be?
Just in a second the world changed totally.
Her mother abandoned her out of love. But the family that took her in was actually the foes.
Her countenance was completely colorless, but since he started, he couldn't just stop like that, no matter how sad he felt for her, so that he continued.
"If you don' t believe, you can go to check. But I'm afraid Clinton couldn't wait that long."
The Greens would eliminate the Wilsons before you found out the truth.
Sandra was a bit moved.
John continued.
"It is just a couple of dockings that the Greens won't die without them. But if you give them to me, at least I could keep the Wilsons live for a short period of time, instead of being sieged by them."
All sounded so logical that she couldn't refuse.
Sandra had her hands held together tightly, her body was shivering, even same with her hair. She was going through a big turbulence inside.
It took her very long, so long that John thought she would say anything, but she started to speak.
"Okay, I will give them to you."
John smiled like he was relieved, and touched her head.
"That's right. You are right, Sandra."
...
Both of them didn't notice that out of the ward, there were a pair of eyes gazing at them like a ghost.
Clinton's hand got off the door handle and went into his pockets. He left without hesitation, with a determined back.
He was out for a while, but when he was back, he heard their conceived plot.
Betrayal...
Haha, at that moment she betrayed him completely.
When he was passing by the rubbish bin, he threw the things he just bought her in.
The plastic container swirled in the rubbish bin twice and then the hot congee spilling out.
It acted like the anger in his chest was let out.
