Chapter 32 Fighting for Power

Sandra was stiff and turned back.
In the soft life a mean in suit was walking towards her, condescending and ruthless, like a noble from last century.
Clinton stopped between them and looked at Steven who was out of his wits.
"You can leave."
Steven was like being saved and rushed out for other things.
Sandra tried to hold him, but Clinton's eyes that were about to kill her, stopped her from saying anything.
Clinton's sharp eyes gazed at her.
"Tell me what you need the key for?"
Sandra couldn't stand his gaze and broke eye contacts to lower her head, staring at somewhere else.
"Nothing."
"You want to check me, check the Greens?"
Different from before, Clinton didn't let her go because of her submissiveness, but got even more dominating.
"I..."
Sandra couldn't refute in front of him as she was never used to lie.
Clinton's face was more and more sullen. He lifted his hand to snatch her chin.
"How dare you doubt about me?"
His voice was not strong, but broke in her ears.
Sandra looked at her beloved man melancholy. She wanted to shake her head, but she couldn't.
Yes, she doubted him.
She even couldn't cheat herself, let alone him.
In the past years being together, Clinton knew him too well.
Silence meant agreement.
All the angers accumulated in the past ignited suddenly.
He pushed her with force so that she fell to the ground.
"How the hell dare you doubt about me!"
In the past 10 years, she was always his follower. He never thought there was a day that she would doubt him.
Sandra fell to the ground severely. Her expression was mercy mixed with melancholy, which made her like a statue.
She couldn't refute.
But the more she kept silence, the more unbearable for Clinton to take.
His emotion was like an vicious dragon, occupying the end of his heart. If it wasn't out, his whole body would be destroyed by its fire.
Suddenly, all the hurts Charlize suffered and the day John escaped became her fault.
Clinton sneered with his lips curled up, hands in fist at the sides of his body.
"Since you don't trust me, why should I trust you? From now on, all cases, big or small, in GreenHood have nothing to do with you, and you shouldn't interfere."
"Of course, the truce agreement with the Wilsons, conceived by you, is also expired."
The last few words were uttered one by one while he was getting closer to her, gazing at her pupils.
Every word ached her heart more severely.
He was extremely happy.
She knew what it was "hurt"?
Sandra rejected him for the first time.
She brushed away his hand, unbelievably.
"Why? The agreement was signed! You signed it personally!"
The cruelty in his heart was swollen without boundary.
The man sneered again.
"Agreement? I thought you should have understood by now."
The so-called agreement was just a piece of blank paper comparing to the real power between two families.
Yes, they just had a new owner recently in the Wilsons, beside a big funeral. It can be called everything needs to be rebooted again. If the Greens wants to take advantage at this time, it would be the easiest.
Sandra's face was getting paler and paler with no trace of blood.
He was right.
Law of the Jungle. She was taught by Mr. Green, senior, the day when she arrived at the Greens.
But she never thought Clinton would apply it on her.
Sandra lost all her energy with the last bit of power drawn out.
His handsome face showed up in front of her.
At the end, she heard her own voice.
"What do you want me to do to let him go?"
"Do you really want to see that I give my own eyes to Charlize to fix hers? Only in this way would you let him go?"
Her tone, strange and stiff, sounded nothing like she was begging him.
For another man, she was willing to donate her own eyes?
Clinton was smiling out of anger.
"Just your eyes? No."
"Death for death. If you want me to forgive him, you must die."
His thin lips finished that sentence lightly and walked out of the hall without a second look at her.
