Chapter 45 Some Changes

The surgery went smoothly. After the wrap was off, she recovered well too.
In the afternoon, she was lying in bed reading the comic book he bought for her. She read just few pages and then the man took it away.
"Your eyes need recovery; you can only read half an hour per day."
She stared at him unpleasantly.
Clinton was looking eyes to eyes at her without expression.
After a short time, she turned her eyes and turned with the back to him, murmuring.
She couldn't get angry to that face.
She felt she was good for nothing. but the reality was totally beyond her expectation. Her husband was one of the most handsome men in the world.
The servants didn't lie.
She never thought she was so much into the look, but she would still be dazed even though she could see such a beautiful person every day.
In addition, he was so thoughtful when taking care of her, even those trivial things about her. She thought if it continued, she couldn't live without him. Let alone to say to get angry with him?
Clinton put the books away and got her back to his arms deftly. Then he started to massage the muscles around her eyes.
Recent days, he saw how the doctor massaged and then he learned almost all the skills.
Sandra felt cozy while being taken care of, and her fingers were circling around his chest.
"Clinton, I have some questions."
"Shoot."
His chest was pumping while speaking, which made one of her ear itchy.
She started to laugh and mess around with him for a while. Then she asked in panting.
"The other day the doctor said to you, "it was her brother's corneas, so the rejection is minimal..." Clinton, do I have a brother?"
She knocked at her head annoyed while speaking.
"But I don't remember at all."
His body suddenly became still and face color changed to irony.
She stretched her head out of his arms carefully to look at him, but his reaction puzzled her.
"I ... Did I say something wrong?"
"Yeah, you were wrong."
His voice was low with tension, while he lowered his head to kiss his lips.
"You have hallucination because you were thinking of other man. don't listen to those servants who talked only nonsense. How come you had a brother? You have only one man in your life, me. Bear it in mind, don't you?"
Sandra's lips were a bit swollen out of his kiss and tried to dodge his while smiling, thinking to herself that he could be so jealousy. She felt it was warm and didn't continue to ask.
During that idle time, someone knocked at the door.
The butler asked in respect.
"Sir, a call from the GreenHood."
Clinton cursed and then kissed quickly on her lips and hurried up to groom his clothes.
"Wait for me at home. I will take you to dinner when I am back."
"Okay."
Sandra responded with playful honesty, but thought to herself she could watch comic series in the afternoon before he was back.
She waved to him, smiling, watching him left quickly.
In the grand hall, along the long table, solemn atmosphere.
Clinton folded his hands with a shoulder leaning against the chair back, one eyebrow was raised.
"Some police man?"
"Yes."
Steven handed him the documents over immediately.
"Stefano Morris, new Attorney General, who gave the order to attack the Wilsons. Currently, we had several shipping docks under their custody. It seems they are targeting us... It doesn't look promising."
Clinton's narrow eyes flashed indifferent coldness.
They had established good relations with the police these years since GreenHood was established, otherwise they wouldn't have developed better and better. But the new Attorney General was just in power and wanted to target the GreenHood?
He stood up with his jacket hanging at his arm, tall and straight.
"I would like to meet Stefano Morris."
The people along the table all stood up in a hurry, concerned.
"Boss..."
The man didn't look back and walked straight towards the door, proudly.
"I go by myself. None of you should follow."
