Chapter 33 I Want Your Eyes
That day, Sandra sat in the living room for quite a long time.
The people in the GreenHood dared not to look at her, nor anyone dared to come to help her up, or console her.
Everyone knew Mrs. Green was losing her power.
Sandra went back to the Greens, weak in her legs. Clinton wasn't in, but went for an inspection of the European business as said. He bought the air ticket in that afternoon temporarily without a return date.
It was getting busy in the GreenHood, ready for a big fight, which she could tell.
Fight with whom?
It could only be the Wilsons, nobody else in Kanbley.
Clinton wanted always to get the justice for Charlize, no matter how she wanted to stop him, as in GreenHood, she had no say anymore.
Her betrayal against Clinton was spread. Nobody knew who leaked it, but more and more people knew. In their eyes, she was totally different. Disrespect was more and more common, even when she was around, let alone to say some misconducts to trap her.
Everyone knew Charlize was the most important person to Mr. Green. It could be that one day she would be Mrs. Green, so they would rather listen to her instead.
Sandra went to Charlize.
Charlize stood in front of the window. Her white dress against the white curtain waving with the breeze made her back as beautiful as an angel.
But when she turned back, her ruthless expression destroyed completely the beautiful demeanor before.
"Finally, you are here for me."
Sandra was standing a few steps away from her.
She paused for a while and then spoke.
"I promise you to leave him, if only you persuade him to let my brother go."
She wasn't stupid. She knew well the person in front of her could persuade Clinton.
Charlize sat at the chair at her side alone. Her attitude showed clearly as if she was the lady in this house.
Her blind eyes turned towards her, smiling proudly.
"You agree to it only now? Unfortunately, it is too late that I have changed my mind."
Sandra held her breath, knowing clearly that it wasn't the time to get furious.
"Then, what do you want now?"
Charlize's delicate and fair fingers lifted to touch her eye sockets.
The pupils inside the sockets were hollow and vacant.
She said slowly.
"Eyes. I want your eyes."
Sandra finally got the chance to let out the doubts she had since long.
She gazed at Charlize hardly as she knew she could sense her eyes.
Then she questioned her.
"Your eyes were damaged by my brother, weren't they?"
Charlize was surprised for a second and then smiled.
"It's not important any more if it was him or not."
"If only Clinton thinks it was him, then he must die."
The woman in front of her was beautiful, sweet, but what she said was frightening.
" Okay, I agree to you. But you should remember what you said."
There was no room for her to refute. Then she turned away after finished the last sentence.
Sandra went to the hospital to test her blood in order to match. All went very fast.
Charlize was pushing to say there won't much time for her.
When Sandra was pushed in the operation room, injected with anesthetic, she fell asleep deeply like it was a dream.
If it was really a dream, she would still be in the wedding ceremony with Clinton when she woke up. How nice!
The shadowless light was fading gradually, when she was thinking about it.
It was the last light Sandra saw.
when she woke up, opened her eyes, pure darkness in front of her.
She tried very hard to blink her eyes, then realized she was blind.
Her heart missed a beat.
With her touch and smell, she knew she was in her bedroom.
"You are up? Here is something to eat."
A strange woman voice together with some dishes sound at the bedside made her cautious immediately.
After a while, she was the new servant employed by Charlize.
Since she came to the Greens, she changed most of the servants. Now it was almost all controlled by her people in this house.
Sandra opened her mouth; her throat was dry.
"Can you get me some water?"
The servant snorted and got her a glass of water reluctantly, murmured.
"You thought you were still Mrs. Green, still can be so arrogant?"
The water was totally told. Sandra took a sip and her stomach was completed twisted.
She put down the water silently, asked unintentionally.
"Where is Mr. Green?"
The servant got even more disparaging.
"Mr. Green? Of course, he wasn't home yet. Thinking that the woman he married only intended to betray him, who would like to come back?"
