Chapter 7 Keep Her
Sandra went to meet John by herself.
It was her first time to go to Wilson's mansion. She had never been there before.
There were four big families in Kanbley City, the Greens, the Wilsons, the Lees and the Kanavis. The other three families were against each other, except the Kanvavis that was aloof.
Since Clinton and Charlize had an affair, it seemed that the Greens and the Wilsons might cooperate despite their differences before. But after the holocaust in the Lees happened, no truce could be restored.
Sandra came into the living room in vintage decoration. John was enjoying his afternoon tea in the luxury couch.
Charlize was blindfolded with mouth stuffed and tied up. There were some men there to watch her.
The living room was lined with chairs on both sides. The relevant people and bodyguards were sitting there, gazing.
Her throat was dry, with her head lowered while being gazed at by John.
"Mr. Wilson.'
She shouldn't call him brother.
At least, not in that moment.
John raised his eyebrow and knew immediately why she came. Suddenly, he got up, unpleasantly.
"Where is Clinton Green? Tell him to come by himself!"
Sandra lowered her eyes, timidly, her long lashes spreading like the butterfly's wings.
Her hands were sweating and she was trying to be cool while everyone was gazing at her.
"Mr. Wilson, do you want to know the killer's name? It was me who killed Mr. Jon Wilson. Mr. Green doesn't need to come."
"What did you say!?"
In a second, he came to take her by the arm.
He lowered his voice with repressed anger.
"What nonsense are you talking about? I can't protect you with so many people around."
At the end, she looked up to face her brother's eyes, and voiced firmly and steadily.
"It was me who killed him."
John was furious and tossed her away harshly.
Sandra fell to the floor, her knees scratched with some sticky liquid around the wounds.
Suddenly, a voice sounded, approaching from the distance.
"Since she admitted, if you still don't believe, I think you want to defend her?"
The voice...
Calm and carefree, perfect tone and pitch.
Sandra was taken immediately by the neck. When she turned around to see a man walking slowly in white tuxedo.
He was so handsome and sex, hippy style to his bones.
As expected, here he came.
But he didn't look at Sandra but at Charlize instead.
At the same time Charlize started to cry when she heard his voice.
He stalked her just for Charlize? All by himself?
Sandra was biting her lips till they were bleeding, but she didn't feel any pain.
Clinton gazed at Charlize for a long while and turned to John with fingers pointing at Sandra.
"Mr. Wilson, the killer is here and I am going to take my fiancée."
Each word was uttered so clearly, which made Sandra surprised and John sneering.
"Fiancée?" If I remember correctly, you got married just few days ago. Besides, you think you can settle the case with a scapegoat?"
His tone became violent at the last sentence.
Several elder respectful people from the Wilsons stood up, furiously.
"Correct. How can you leave like that?"
Clinton was calm and finally looked at Sandra.
Dark in her eyes with a trace of melancholy made him uncomfortable, so that he tried to turn away.
"No matter what, the killer you asked for is here as promised."
He paused suddenly while speaking with eyes encircling the room.
"If you regret, do you think you can win the fight with us after the recent failure?"
Sandra was still on the floor, gazing at the man standing not far.
His sharp expression was so strange to her, which she had never seen before.
He was always like a teenage with naughty and flirty look in front of her.
At the end Clinton took Charlize and left.
And she was left there alone.
Sandra watched them leaving together while he was holding her so carefully, his back to her. She lifted her hand as if grabbing something in the air.
Some faint words came out of her pale and thin lips.
"Sir."
She knew she would be left there alone, but never thought like that, so fast and determined.
"Kill her! Kill her!"
The crowd shouted furiously. Sandra wanted to hide herself, which was the first time in her life.
Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw John approached her with sadness in his eyes and then lifted the stab in his hand.
A flash lightened and Sandra's world sunk into darkness.
