Chapter 9 Return the Ring to Me

In the early morning, a person sneaked into her blanket.
She was shocked, but fully cautious.
The man was opening her night dress rudely.
Familiar smell calmed her down, so that she let him do whatever he wanted.
Clinton went into her body easily as he was so familiar with her body, but the hot temperature inside made him frowned slightly.
"Do you have fever?"
Sandra shook her head.
She had no idea.
She couldn't feel a thing about her own body, neither hot nor cold, except that she wasn't herself at all, till she passed out. Otherwise, she couldn't feel a thing about her body.
Sometimes, she even felt that her body was like a delicate-designed machine.
Clinton got out unpleasantly, wrapping the night gown around his body to look for the thermometer and medicine.
After measuring the temperature, he was a bit angry.
"40.3C? Are you a fool? Couldn't you feel it?"
Sandra dared not to respond, but put the blanket around herself. Watching him to fetch medicine for her back and forth, she felt the old time was back again.
But soon she came back to her senses and thought to herself it was just a hallucination. Everything was different.
After taking medicine, she was held in his arms in bed.
"Why do you have fever suddenly?"
As far as he could remember, her body condition was superb, even comparing to his. Having been with him so far, even after being wounded, her health was seldom deteriorating.
Sandra curled her lips up and showed a tiny smile while shaking her head.
"I don't know."
By all means, he wouldn't care.
As expected, he didn't continue, but kept silent.
"Sandra, give me the ring back."
"...... "
Her butterfly-wing-shaped eyelashes raised open in shock, looking at the man.
What did he say?
Give the ring back to him?
Just few days ago he put the ring on her finger. She felt like the happiest woman in the world.
However, the sweet dream lasted just for a few days and now it was the time for reality.
It could be her clear eyes tainted with anger, which made him turn away unnaturally.
"Don't look at me like that. I didn't know Charlize would come back."
It seemed that name gave him more strength. He lowered his head and looked at her seriously.
"I thought she was dead, and I could compromise on this issue. But she's back, and I can't compromise anymore."
Each word was like a bomb exploding in her ears.
To him she was just a compromise?
She thought after years of fighting and accompany together, he would foster affection for her. Even a stone would be warmed up.
However, in such a night, he told him one thing after another that she was just a compromise.
Sandra repressed her feeling to avoid her voice from trembling.
"But, the last will of Mr. Wilson was to have you marry me. Do you want to disobey his last will?"
Clinton's eyes sunk.
When did she start to be so brave to contradict him in the name of his grandpa?
Then, his tone and expression were cold.
"I married you already."
"Just for a month?"
"Yes, just for a month."
Sandra seemed to be burnt by something and retreated her body, speechless.
It was difficult to see her to have such a miserable expression, which aroused him to sympathize with her suddenly.
After thorough thought, he had a compensating solution.
"I thought it over to let Eddie be your follower. He is excellent, capable, loyal. I believe that he can achieve what I have now. Tomorrow, I will ask him to accompany you. It's better that you can train him to grow up fast. When we divorce, you can marry him."
Sandra was completely shocked and gazed at him.
How ridiculous? Did he really say that?
Something in her body seemed broken. Those broken pieces turned into energy which made her dare to repel.
Sandra pushed the man away and gazed at him.
"You are crazy! Eddie was just a kind around 20 years old.
