DRAKE: I get a link from one of the guards on patrol. *“Alpha, a strange colored wolf, was heading towards the lake.” “What do you mean, strange color?” “Like reddish/orange.” “Leave it, I will take care of it.” “Yes, Alpha.”* I link Mackinzie. *“Go to Keska’s room and get her some clothes, she is at the lake and will need them.” “Yes, Alpha.”* I close the link. I leave the office and head out of the pack house. I strip and shift into Helios, He is huge; he stands head and shoulders above all the other wolves in the pack. He is black with a white diamond shape sitting in a crescent on his forehead. I head to the lake.
KESKA: I hear the sound of paws hitting the ground, and I know someone is coming. I head to the tree line, and shift back, I climb the nearest tree to me and stay out of sight of whoever is coming. I see Helios enter the clearing, he is looking around and sniffing the ground and the air, he is looking for me, great, now what did I do? *“Corla, Keska come out please.”* I hear in my head. I climb back down and shift back into Corla, I was not in the mood to let Father see me without clothes, even though it is natural for us as wolves. If he was going to scold me again, I wasn’t going to take it standing in front of him naked. Helios came over and nuzzled Corla and kissed her. We were both shocked to say the least, and I think it showed, because he whined like we had hurt him. *{“Sorry, father, I did not mean to hurt you or upset you.”}* Corla says to him. He nuzzles and kisses her again, and this time, she bows her head to him. He sits down next to her. *{“No, my pup, it is I who needs to apologize to you. I did not make my human pay attention enough, and that is what got us to where we are, and for that, I am sorry. I will endeavor to do better, make him pay attention.”*He tells her. *{“It will not matter as much with Jessie gone, there will be less drama, and less of an issue of getting Keska in trouble.”}* She tells him. We hear footsteps behind us, we both turn to see who is there. We see Mackie, Trever, and Dutch. “I brought clothes.” Mackie says a little hesitantly, seeing Helios with Corla. Even the prince stops short. Helios is very impressive, even to the Lycan prince. He stands and walks towards Mackie; they get to see just how tall he does stand, and she bows her head and offers her neck to him. *“Go give her her clothes so she can change.”* He says through the mind link. Then he just stares at the guys with an eyebrow raised. “Umm, yeah right.” They both turn around, and Mackie comes over to me with my clothes. I shift quickly and get dressed. “I’m dressed.” I call out. And the three of them turned back to me. Helios comes over and nuzzles me just as he did Corla, it’s been a long time since he has done that, and it makes me cry, I was ugly crying and I hated it, if he had scolded me again I could have handled it, but he didn’t and I didn’t know how to handle that, and Helios just keeps kissing my tears away. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to put him in danger, I’m just so used to coming and going without anyone caring that I did, I didn’t think.” I said to him. “And then you didn’t punish me, you confused me. I didn’t know what to do.” I just cried and buried my face in his fur. I felt a wet spot on my shoulder, and I looked up to see he was crying too. I just hug him, with my face buried in his chest and my arms around his neck.
TREVER: I hate seeing her crying like that. I just want to go hold her, rock her, comfort her, but I also know that her father did this; he is hurting just as much as she is, maybe even more than she is right now, because he knows that he is at fault. Regardless, it doesn’t change the fact that it is killing me not to be close to her, to hold her, to help her, to ease her pain. I am also very much aware that his wolf is larger than an ordinary Alpha wolf. I link my brothers. *“What do we know about the Sutter line?” “What do you mean?” “Well, I am at the lake right now, and the Alpha wolf is here, and he is no ordinary Alpha wolf; he would come up to above my waist in beast form.”* I tell them. *“We will have to look into it when we get home.”* Berett says. I take a chance and approach them slowly. Alpha lets out a low growl at me, “I do not want to take her away, I just need to be near her to help ease her pain, I can feel it through the bond, and it hurts me as well.” I say to him. He, in turn, just watches me as I approach her from behind. I sit down cross-legged behind her and just rub light circles on her back to help ease her. After about another 15 minutes, she starts to calm down.
KESKA: After my bout of crying, I wipe my eyes, and I look at Helios. “I do love you.” I tell him. He licks my whole face after I tell him that. “I need father to hear me.” I tell him. “I am here, Keska.” I get the link from him. “I want you to let Jessie out of the cells.” I tell him. “That’s not going to teach her anything, and reinforces the fact that she can get away with the stunts she’s pulled.” “Let her out, I will go to the cabin, so she doesn’t have the chance to see me, and not be an issue. She will continue to pull stunts if I am around, she hates me, why I don’t know, that is her problem to deal with, once her mate claims her, she can leave, and I will come back to the house after she is gone.” “Are you sure that is what you truly want?” “Yes, as long as Mackie, Trever, and Dutch are able to be with me.” “Don’t you think you should ask them if that is what they want to do.” He sends back to me. I turn my head and look at them sitting there waiting for us. “Trever, Dutch, Mackie, would you guys want to go to the cabin for the next 2-3 days?” I asked them. “I’m down for it.” Mackie says with a grin. I see the guy’s eye glaze over, so I know that they are linking back and forth to each other, and maybe Trever’s brothers. “You two will have to be around the house and grounds during the day so that you will be seen, but you can come back to the cabin later.” I say, to hopefully help ease their minds on the situation.
