JESSIE: I get back downstairs, and I start looking for my friends. I want to share the news with them that I’m out of the cells for good. I happened to notice that the princes and their mates all head upstairs, as does Alpha Camron, I wonder what that is about, but I didn’t see Keska, so that’s a plus. I head out to the Marquee to see if my friends are out there and see a pool tournament in progress. “Hey, little brother, what’s going on here?” I asked Liam. “We are having a Pool tournament, and we are also going to have a dart tournament, and if there is time, an archery tournament. Are you interested in joining any of them?” He asked me. “Put me down for the darts.” “$5.00 entry fee, winner takes all.” He says. “Ok, I will be right back.” I head back upstairs to my room to get my money for the entry fee and head back down. “Alright, here you go, $5.00, where do I sign?” He points to one of the sheets of paper in front of him. I sign and then print my name on it, and my phone number. “Why both, and why the phone number?” I asked him. “Are you kidding me? Look at those signatures, can you read them?” I look down at the paper and I chuckle. “You're right, no, I can’t.” “Thank you, and I need to be able to contact the next set of players, so everybody doesn’t have to stick around if they don’t want to. ” He tells me. “Rules: no use of any Alpha powers, abilities, or extra strength, if you get caught doing so, you are disqualified and lose your entry fee. It has to be a fair and clean playing field for everyone.” He says. “Ok, I understand.” I tell him and then continue to look for my friends. I finally spot them in the back of the marquee and head over to them. “Hey.” I greet them. “Hey.” And they both give me a hug. “I’m parched, I’m going to go get a drink.” I tell them. “We will come with you.” They say. And I nod. When we are a good bit from the table, “I am out of the cells.” I tell them. “Oh, goddess Jessie, that’s great, did you find your mate?” “Not yet, but I have a feeling that he is waiting until Wednesday to make his presence known, as a courtesy to daddy.” I tell them. “Then how are you out of the cells?” “I guess Keska told them that it wasn’t doing me any good, and that I wasn’t learning anything by being in them, and the only thing that it was accomplishing was making me hate her more, and she wasn’t wrong. I can’t stand even the thought of her.” I say to them. “But I will play nice until I leave, then I will never have to see her or be around her again, so I figure I can do that.” I say. We get our drinks and head back to their table, where they introduce me to their mates. I shake hands with them. “So, is anyone getting in on the pool tournament?” I asked the table at large. “No. But I think I will join the dart tourney.” Marla’s mate says. “If they get to the archery one, I will be joining that.” Dedi’s mate says. “I joined the Dart one myself.” I say. “Well may the best person win.” Marla’s mate says. I nod my head.
TREVER: I find Dutch, and we go to our quarters and pack some clothes in backpacks and head out. We are watching and listening to all the sounds and people around us, we don’t want anyone going back to Jessie saying that we are leaving. Just acting casual and chit-chatting as we walk towards the tree line. Once out of sight of everyone and the noise from the marquee has diminished to that of a hushed whisper, we strip down and shift. It only takes us about 20 minutes to get to the cabin in our Lycan form. When we get to the cabin, we shift back and go knock on the door. It’s opened by Keska, and we enter the cabin. “So how did the discussion go?” she asked as we came in and set our packs down. I can’t wait to have her in my arms, so as she is closing the door, I wrap my arms around her and breathe her scent in. “I want you to mark me just like I did you.” I tell her. “Don’t worry, we have your father’s permission.” I tell her. “How did that happen?” she asked. “Part of it is the possible war, I think I convinced him to let us try, to prove, or disprove the theory of the marking issue for communication purposes. If it works, then we would be one more step ahead of the game, so to speak.” I tell her. She nods her head.
DUTCH: “I’m with Trever on that note, I want to mark you as well Mackie.” “I don’t like not being able to link with you either. I know you can’t mark me back yet, as you don’t have your wolf, but I want you to carry my mark.” I say to her. “Ok.” She says quietly.
JAMES: I find Janica and link Wyatt. *“It’s time for us to head up. Jessie is occupied with her friends at the moment, so she won’t notice that we went upstairs instead of leaving for the cabin.” “Head up, and Lexi and I will be right behind you.” “Please just make sure she doesn’t follow you; I know we’re not on the same floor, but you never know with Jessie what she might decide to do.” “Copy that.”* I close the link and go looking for my mate, I see her in the game room chatting with Star and the Cold Moon twins. I walk over to her and put my hand on her shoulder. “Time to go.” I lean down and whisper in her ear. I know the others can hear us as we are all wolves, but I just want to get close to her. She smiles, takes my hand, says good night to them, and we head up the stairs.
KESKA: We are getting ready for bed. It was suggested that we continue to do camp-style sleepovers, so the guys wouldn’t be quite as tempted if we were to sleep alone with each other. The guys are just in sweats, with no shirts. I can’t help but admire Trever’s body, he is built like a Tight End in the NFL. Tall, pecs and abs to die for, he doesn’t have the preverbal 6 pack, but he is fit, some would even say drool worthy, but I wouldn’t know about any of that, I just know he looks good. He still has a bit of the boyishness about him, but the strong jaw line is there, it’s the dimples in his cheeks that are what still gives him that boyishness. He has milk chocolate brown hair, and amber-brown eyes that seem to glow from within. “Like what you see, princess?”
