LIAM: I am ecstatic after Dad told me I could go. I go to find Kes. “I can go! I can go!” I tell her as I jump at her. She just catches me. “Liam!” “I can go, Dad said yes!” “Ok, little brother, ok. Then I guess we'd better get you packed up as well.” “Yes.” And we head to my room to start packing up my stuff. I know that I can’t take everything, and I am going to miss not having my gaming system, but I can send for it if I have the space for it. This is going to be so great!”
KESKA: I link Nana. *“Nana, Father said that Liam could come with us, is that going to be ok?” “I am sure it will be just fine, dear. I will call the Elder and let him know that we will have one more than expected with us.” “Thank you, Nana.” “Welcome, dear.”* I close the link and continue to help get Liam packed. I feel the push of a link, so I open it. *“Where are you, love?”* I hear Trever in my head. *“In Liam’s room, Father told him he could come with us, so I am helping him pack and making sure he doesn‘t try to take the hole house with him.”* Trever chuckles, *“Would you like some help?” “Sure.” “I’ll be there in a minute.”* I close the link. A minute later, there is a knock on Liam’s door. “Who is it?” Liam asked, “Trever.” “Come.” Trever comes into the room, bringing Mackie and Dutch with him. “We’ve come to help get you packed, squirt.” “Hey, I’m not a squirt.” Trever just grins. Between all of us, we get Liam packed up and ready to go tomorrow.
SETH: I know that Keska will be leaving, and Mackie will be going with her. I am going as well, I don’t care if they say no, I will follow them, I need to prove that I am sorry, and that I want to make up for everything. So, I am packing up my things and loading my truck, my parents aren’t thrilled that I am leaving, but I don’t care. I am going with them.
LILLY: I call Emory. “As far as I know, there will be 7 of us, we will be leaving tomorrow morning, and you will get to meet 2 of Rickard’s grandchildren, as the youngest one will also be coming along, he doesn’t trust that his sister will be ok without him.” I chuckle. “I will make sure that we have space for a dozen then.” “We don’t need that much space.” “Lilly, it has been my experience in situations like this that more people come, because of the same reason you just mentioned, whether it is friends, or other family members, it happens.” “Ok, but I honestly don’t think you need to have that much space for us.” “Well, it will be ready anyway, just in case.” “Very well, be seeing you soon. Bye.” “Bye.”
KESKA: Moving day. I am a little anxious, I can’t eat much. My stomach is in knots. This has always been my home, even though it hasn’t always been the greatest; it has always been home. I know that I will miss some things about it, but I can’t say that I will miss everything. “Liam, have you told Betsey that you’re leaving with us?” “Oh crap! No.” “Then you need to do that, and do it now. Let her know that she will be the one to take care of the seniors, from here on out.” “I will.” I watch as he takes off in the direction of Betsey’s home.
DRAKE: I get a link from Mitch after breakfast. “Alpha, there are several refugees here who want to speak to you.” “On my way.” I close the link. And head down to the barracks. I walk into the area and can feel the tension. “What’s going on?” “I wish to take some of the others that are here and follow the red wolf.” One of the refugees says. “I will take one of the SUVs that Stone Claw used to get us here, so that you will not be down a vehicle.” The woman says to me. “How many?” “That I know of, there are about 50-75 of us that don’t have families that we are waiting on, and we all want to go with her. She helped us, she saved us, gave us a choice, we want to go with her.” “I will allow it, but not all of you will be able to go.” “We know, there are 4 of the larger SUVs, if we can have them 32 of us will be able to go, and we have talked, most of us want to be with her, so we have a plan that if we have one or two from each of the Packs that Stone Claw destroyed with us, then when we settle we can inform the rest where we are, and they can follow when they have their families.” She tells me. I nod at her words. “I know she is going to Canada for training.” I tell the woman. “We understand, we will still go, whether or not that is where she stays or if she comes back here, we will go where she goes.” “Get your people ready, they will be leaving shortly.” I tell her. She nods. “Mitch, get the Stone Claw SUVs gassed up and ready to go. I am giving them to the few refugees who want to follow Kes and the Prince.” “Yes, Alpha.” I leave the barracks and go to find Lilly. “You are going to have a convoy following you.” “What?” “Yes, some of the refugees are going to follow you. Apparently, they want to be with Kes because she saved them, they are impressed with the fact that she gave them a choice not to fight.” “That’s my girl.” “She’s mine.” I say with a bit of sarcasm. “No, she’s Trever’s.” Lilly throws my sarcasm back at me. I just growl at her words. Just then, I get a link from the front gate. “Alpha, the movers are here, and another vehicle is behind them.” “Let the movers in, but find out who the other vehicle is behind them before you let them in.” “Yes, Alpha.” “Sir, it’s your father.” “Yes, let him enter.” I close the link “The movers are here, and so is my father.” I say to Lilly. “Charles? Wonder what brought him here.” “I don’t know, but I intend to find out.” “I will come with you, I’m curious, plus I need to direct the movers.” She says, and we both go towards the Pack house. We get to the front of the house. “Dad.” “Son.” “What brings you here?” “I thought I would come for a visit, so that you can see that I am ok, and I have recovered from Amand’s death.” “I am glad that you have recovered, but you didn’t have to come all this way; you could have just called.” “Yes, I suppose I could have, but I also heard a rumor that you had a war, so I wanted to check it for myself.” “Well, yeah, I guess you could say we had a battle anyway,
