KESKA/CORLA: “Oh, my goddess, you are so soft.” She says. We nod. \[“Ok Corla, time to shift back, I am sure he needs to rest.”\] I tell her. \[“ok.”\] “Mackie, please take my clothes into the bathroom, I will shift back in there.” “Ok.” Mackie takes my clothes into the bathroom for me, and I go in and shift back, redress, and come out. “Sorry, Pete, she can be a bit sassy, as you said.” “It’s ok. I like her.” He chuckles. “We should let you rest now, though.” He looks at Trever. “I guess I have you to thank as well, but I don’t remember seeing you.” He says to Trever. “Don’t worry about it, Havoc picked you up and carried you here. You had already passed out.” Trever tells him. “Well, thank you.” “You're welcome.” “Now get some rest, I don’t want the Doc getting mad at me for not letting you rest.” I say to him. And he nods. We leave.
JAMES: I am just pacing back and forth in my room. I am in shock that Dad knew this the whole time. And didn’t think that it was important to tell me about my sister? I can see why Kes and he have problems. I wish I could do something about what is coming, but I don’t know what to do. We can’t just force the Pack to accept things as they are; they will want assurances, and I don’t know if we can give them any. I don’t want to lose my sister, especially when we were just starting to reconnect. “Hey, what’s got you in this state?” Janica asked me. “I just found out that Kes is responsible for the statues and ashes, but she also made sure that we didn’t lose any buildings either, but the Pack won’t weigh one against the other. I’m afraid they will say she is a danger.” “We can argue for her.” “I don’t think it will matter. Goddess Janica, I don’t want to lose her, I was just starting to get her back, from all the bullshit with Jessie. I don’t know what to do.” I tell her. “We’ll figure something out.” She says. “I need to go for a run with her.” I say she nods. I link Kes. “Hey little sis, where are you?” “Just leaving the hospital. Why?” “Hospital! Are you hurt!?” “No, just visiting Pete, he wanted to know about the red wolf.” “What?” “He must have just gotten a glimpse of Corla before he passed out, and thought he was seeing things.” “Ok, but speaking of Corla, Phestus would like to go for a run with his sister, if you're open for it.” “Sure, I guess, where do you want to meet?” “Behind the Pack house, and we will head towards the cabin.” “ Ok, see you in a bit.” I close the link. I just want to cry for her and us, I don’t care if that makes me a hypocrite or not. I’m scared. “I am going to meet her in the back of the Pack house.” I tell Janica. “Do you want me to come with you?” I nod. “Yes please.” I whisper. She nods her head and just wraps her arms around me. I take in her scent, and it helps to calm me.
KESKA: That was strange, not going to lie. “What is it, love?” Trever asked. “James, he and Phestus want to go for a run.” I tell him. “Do you want me to come with?” “Thank you, but there was something in his tone, I think he just wants some alone time with his sister.” I tell him. He nods at me. We will be in the game room with Liam waiting for you.” “Huh?” “He gets anxious, too, and the best way to take his mind off the scary stuff is to occupy him with games.” I nod my understanding. I head to the back of the Pack house to meet up with James. When I get there, I see Janica with him. He just walks over to me and engulfs me in a hug. “Let’s go.” We head to the tree line, undressed and shifted. We take off and head towards the cabin at the northern border. The whole way there, Phestus lets us lead, that alone has me worried, as an Alpha wolf, he would be the one to lead. “Ok, big brother spill.” “Kes, I’m scared, I don’t think the Pack is going to accept you and Corla, especially after seeing what she did to Stone Claw.” “She helped save them, and she put out the fires before they could cause any real damage.” “I know. But I don’t think that will matter, they were scared when they saw everything, they even thought that dad might have been one of them.” “He is still Alpha; we would never do that!” “I know that, and with time, I am sure that they would too, but…” “Yeah, it’s what could happen in the meantime, and if anything, bad were to happen, then I would get the blame. Just like Jessie all over again, only on a larger scale.” “I don’t want to lose you. I am just getting you back.” Corla stops dead in her tracks. Phestus almost runs right into her. “We are family, you didn’t reject me, so you won’t lose me. Even if the Pack won’t accept us. You will never lose me.” I look at him, and he has tears in his eyes. Corla just licks his face. {“I love you, big brother.”} She says out loud. He just nods his big wolf head. Janica’s wolf comes up to nuzzle him. He puts his head into her neck and takes in her scent. And then we take off again towards the cabin.
LIAM: After breakfast, I head out to survey the damage done, and I’m not seeing much. But I am seeing ice statues and ash piles dotting the landscape. What the heck caused all this? I then noticed where a few buildings were scorched. But it wasn’t super bad or anything, so that’s a plus. I wonder where Kes, Mackie, and the guys are, and if they know about this yet? I head over to the orphanage; I want to check and make sure they are all ok. After checking in with them, I link Kes. *“Hey, where are you?” “On a run with our big brother.” “Did you see the statues and ash piles?” “Yes, little brother, I know all about them, because Corla caused them.” “Wait, what?” “Those are Corla’s forms of attack.” “Wow, cool. Can I smash them?” “What?” “Yeah, smash them.” “You will need to ask Father.” “Ok.”* I close the link with Kes and open one with Dad. *“Dad, can I smash the ice statues?” “What?” “Yeah, you know, s-m-a-s-h t-h-e s-t- a-t-u-e-s.” “Yes, Liam, I know what you meant. You do realize that they were once living beings?” “Yes, I know, but they shouldn’t have attacked us, so they got what they deserved. I just want to smash them, to drive the point home.” “Yes, fine!” “Cool. Thanks, Dad.” “Welcome.”* I close the link and go find a baseball bat and start swinging.
