TREVER: After the meeting in her dad’s office, I take Keska with me to find Dutch and then to my brothers. We find Dutch and Mackie out front of the pack house. I head in the direction of Lilly’s place. “We need to talk.” I tell Dutch. “And I need to see if my brothers have any ideas for me, after I tell them what I plan on doing.” I say. “What are you planning on doing?” I take a hold of Keska’s hand and Mackie’s hand and turn their palms up so he can see the scars they both have. “This.” I say and point to the scars. I watch as the girls look at each other, shocked. “Trever, this can’t be undone.” Keska says. “I know.” I say to her, but I want to be able to link with you, and if this will allow that to happen, I am willing to do it.” I tell her. Dutch nods his head in agreement. “But what if it makes it where you can’t link with your brothers or your pack anymore?” “Sshh, princess, not here, wait till we get to your Nana’s house, she too may have some ideas, or thoughts on the situation.” I say to her. “I just don’t want anyone getting in trouble because of me.” She says. “Don’t worry about it, no one will be getting into trouble because of you.” I say as we reach Lilly’s home. I link with both my brothers. *“Barett, Trent, I need you to please come to Lilly’s place. I need to talk with you.” “Do we bring our mates?”* Trent asked, *“That’s fine, I don’t care as long as they can keep what we discuss to themselves.”* I send back. “*We’ll be there in 5.”* Is the answer I get. “Kes, let Lilly know that we are going to invade her space. OK?” I watch as her eyes glaze over. “She’ll be waiting for us.” She says. “You might as well get Liam in on this as well.” I tell her. She nods her head, and I watch again as her eyes glaze over. “Done.” She tells me. We all continue to Lilly’s place.
LIAM: I was just hanging out in the game room playing a game of pool with the twins from Cold Moon Pack, they are Star’s mates, and they don’t mind taking Star and me on against the two of them, we were just finishing the game when I get the link from Kes. *“Hey, are you busy?” “Just finishing a game of pool with Star, Blake, and Blane. Why?” “When you finish, come to Nana’s.” “Ok.”* She closes the link. “Everything ok?” Star asked me. “Yeah, everything is good, Kes just wants me to go to Nana’s.” I tell her. “How is she doing? I really haven’t had much time to catch up with her.” “She is good, she is all healed. Probably just wants to run the obstacle course.” I tell her. “What happened to Kes that she had to heal from?” the twins asked. “Oh, umm, I will let Star tell you, but what she does tell you has to stay with you. Please don’t go blabbing, I don’t want Dad, Mom, Jessie, or Kes mad at me.” I say, “Better yet, let me link her and ask her, ok?” “Of course.” I link Kes back. *“Kes, Star, and the twins want to come, and I may have let it slip about you being healed; the twins didn’t know, it was more for Star, I’m sorry.” “Hey, there is nothing for you to be sorry for, ok, Star is part of the ranked wolves, she knew what happened to me, and I am sure the twins will keep quiet about everything, I don’t think they are Jessie fans anyway.”* She sends back. “Let’s go.” Is all I say.
KESKA: “Liam is coming with Star and the Cold Moon twins.” I informed everyone with me. “Are they trustworthy?” Dutch asked, and “How much do they know?” is what I get from Trever. “Yes, they are trustworthy, and none of them know about Corla, and as they will be leaving when the Ball is over, there is no need for them to know about her. Star does know that I was stabbed, but this will be news for the twins.” I tell them. I hear a deep growl from Trever. “Hey, hey, you knew about that.” I say as I take a step closer to Trever so he can take in my scent and calm down. “Take a breath, I’m ok, I’m here.” I say to him. As I take that step closer to him, he reaches out and pulls me into his arms, buries his nose in my neck and takes a deep breath, then he kisses my neck, making me shiver. “Mine.” I hear his beast growl. “Yes, Havoc yours.” I say softly. I look at Dutch, I know that you are going to have questions after hearing that, but let’s wait for the others.” I say.
BARETT: After getting that link from Trever, I walk out into the common space of our suite. “Trent?” “Yeah, coming.” “Alisha, Rachell?” “Yes, we are here.” They all come into the living area as well. “We are going to head over to Lilly’s home, there is going to be some very delicate information discussed, so please be respectful when it is asked to keep it under wraps. I know that we would never use what we learn, but it will be asked of us nonetheless, don’t take it as a personal offense.” I tell them. They all nod at me. We head out. When we get downstairs and out the front door, we run into Liam and a few others whom I am unfamiliar with. “Liam, heading to Lilly’s?” “Yeah, hey, this is Star, she is the beta’s daughter, and these are her mates, the Cold Moon Pack twins, Blake and Blane.” He introduces them. “Hello, I am Prince Barett, my brother Prince Trent, and our mates Alisha and Rachell.” I introduce us to them. We fall in with them and head to Lilly’s place.
LIAM: “Nana, Kes, we’re here.” I call out as we make our way to the side gate. “Come on back.” Nana calls out. And we head into the backyard.
KESKA: I watch as Liam, Trever’s brothers, their mates Star, and her mates come through the gate into the backyard. “Hey, everyone, have all the introductions been made?” I asked. “All except for Dutch and Trever.” Liam says. So, I go through just to make sure that everyone knows everyone’s name, or at least hears it once, if they don’t remember it later, they can ask. “I will start with Dutch and Trever then.” I say, pointing at them in turn, “This is Star, she is beta Gregg’s daughter, and now Luna to be of Cold Moon Pack, her mates, Blake and Blane.” I introduce them. “Star, Blake, Blane, this is gamma born Dutch Winters, the princes Barett, Trent, and Trever Kingston, their mates Alpha born Alisha Marsden of Dark Moon Pack, and alpha born Rachell Grey of Burning Ember Pack.” I point to everyone in turn as I introduce them. Alisha raises her hand. I turn to look at her. “You don’t have to raise your hand, Alisha; we aren’t in school here.” I say to her. “I know, but you forgot yourself,” and then she pointed to Mackie and Liam. “and them.” she says with a chuckle. “Sorry, I’m not used to being the center of attention, and as pretty much most everyone knows who I am, I forget about that.” I point to Mackie. “This is my best friend, gamma born Mackinzie Dawson, of Blue Cresent Pack, this is alpha born Liam Sutter of Blue Cresent Pack, and I am alpha born Keska Sutter of Blue Cresent Pack.” I leave out the fact that Mackie and I are mates to Dutch and Trever, if they want it known, they can give that information out. After I go through all the introductions, I go and sit down. We are sitting around on all the obstacles from the course.
