chapter 10
Josie POV
I held the towel tighter around my body. Matthias made it certain to keep his eyes on my face, not looking towards my body. He was tense, looking at me like I was his own prey.
''You're acting like the rules don't apply to you!" I snapped at him, I place my wet hair up in a bun as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom.
We were in my apartment before leaving his home. I was moving in with him this week and already we are having a fight.
I knew I signed up for this, but honestly, I didn't think this would come so fast. For fuck's sake, he pushing everyone's button lately. First that guy at work and now Pierre?
''What rules?" He said in a sarcastic tone.
"Do you hear how arrogant you sound right now?" I said, crossing my arms together.
"Josie, there's nothing to worry about."
''Oh really? Cause you denied three beautiful dresses from Pierre, who happens to be the best wedding designer here!''
"Is that all you have to say?"
"You think this is funny?" I snap.
He glares at me with hatred in his cruel dull eyes. "I said what I said."
''You do realize that it's usually the woman that decides if she wants the dress or not. Right? I mean like you said it's like Say Yes To The Dress.''
''This is different. It's arranged, I assigned you to me. With that being said, I make the decisions whether or not if the dress looked good on you, I said it was too much.''
''You're so controlling.''
''-And you're a pain in the ass.''
I scoffed and marched over to the bathroom, slamming it behind me. With anger, I took off my towel and begin to place on my bra and underwear, then my comfortable clothing before heading out with Matthias.
This is ridiculous. This boy truly thinks that everything has to go his way because he says so. Yeah, I get it he's a billionaire and what not but he is driving me crazy and I've only been with him for half of- the day.
''Josie, relax,'' I said to myself. ''Relax.'' I took a deep breath, counted to ten and walked out of my bathroom. Everything was packed in a box and I had to move in with Matthias today.
There were men wandering around my apartment, taking all of my belongings and heading out to the moving truck. I took a last look around the apartment and sadness was taking upon me.
I had many memories here in this small apartment. Memories I shared with Maya, myself and the people who I've met in my life. Now, that is going to end and I felt a bittersweet moment by looking around each corner how much I was going to miss this place.
''Let's go,'' Matthias said. ''Dinner is ready.''
-----
''Dinner is ready Mr.Lekas,'' an elderly black woman said to us.
''I'm not hungry,'' I said, crossing my arms as soon as we stepped into the kitchen. Matthias turns his body to me and his eyes as like a volcano erupting; fury sweeping off me like ferocious waves.
''What... did... you... say?'' He said, taking a step further to me.
''I'm not hungry.''
''The hell you are. I heard your stomach growled ten minutes ago.''
''That was you, not me.''
He gritted his teeth and ran his left hand through his hair with frustration. ''What are you trying to do? Test me?"
''Nope, I'm saying that I'm not hungry.''
His eyes were narrowed, rigid, cold, hard. There was a tenseness he wasn't even trying to mask. I backed away, nothing about this was making sense, not his curling fists or the anger that radiated from his skin.
''Then starve for all I care about,'' he growled.
''Fine, I'll starve my way out.''
''Where the hell do you think you're going?"
''Going to see Maya.''
''You're not seeing Maya without any supervision.''
''Abel take me to see Maya please.''
He stuttered. ''Uhh... su---uhh boss?'' He asked Matthias. really?
''Go, make sure you come back by midnight or else I'll lock you out the house.''
''You can't do that.''
''Wanna bet on that?''
I gulped nervously when he narrowed his brows at me. He was furious, and I knew he couldn't handle this situation with me.
I nodded my head, accede to come back on time before he locks me out. Abel opens the door for me to walk out and I left without looking back at him. I could feel his eyes still locked in with my body when I walked down the steps to the limo.
''Is he always like this?'' I asked Abel when he opens the door.
He chuckles. ''Sweetie, this is just the beginning.''
