Matthias POV

I strolled through the lobby of the headquarters and went over to my office.

''Excuse me, Mr.Lekas, uh I need to speak with you,'' said Eugene, one of my receptionists.

''Not now Eugene, I have to get ready for our meeting.''

''Well, um, I actually needed to see if I--''

I raised an eyebrow. "What is it that you want?" I snapped.

''Her,'' he responded. I tilt my head and took a glance at Josie and locked my eyes back to Eugene. Eugene was so scared. He knew it was dumb to be scared, but he couldn't help it. Problem was that he always overthinking every damn thing.

''Uh.. no... not like that, sir,'' he laughed nervously, ''I mean... yeah, she's beautiful but uh, I mean I'm not into her or anything... I mean cause.. that would be weird coming from me... a gay man, aha,'' he babbled.

''Eugene, spit it out.''

He cleared his throat. ''I got the key for her office, it's organized and also I placed her in the system, that way she can have the access for emails and stuff.''

''Okay, fine.''

''Sir, I'm sorry about that comment, I.. I really didn't think you know... you had dibs or maybe even--''

''Leave,'' I retorted.

''Sorry,'' he whispered.

I found myself staring at Josie as she was standing near the receptionist's desk. I took a deep breath, reminding myself it was just business.

Leaving the office, I went to the boardroom with everyone was and took off my jacket. Josie was standing next to Eugene as other members were preparing to sit down on their chairs.

''Good morning everyone,'' I said.

''Good morning,'' they responded back.

''Everyone this is Josephine, and she is my new assistant, please share your courtesy to her.'' Each member waved their hands to Josie. She waved back timidly and sat down right next to me.

The meeting begins when I presented a new project to the team about a collection from Kekoa Collections in Hawaii. We discussed the materials, providing how much we would invest in the fashion show.

An hour later, the meeting was over and I was gathering my belongings before heading out to my office.

''Josie, gather your things we're heading out.''

''To where?''

''Ring shopping, Dress shopping.''

''Dress shopping?''

''Haven't you have seen Say Yes To The Dress?''

Her eyes widened in surprise and she begins to stutter. ''What about?....''

''.... I'll take care of everything. Get ready soon.''

KNOCK

KNOCK

''-- Mr.Lekas, I'm sorry for coming in later,'' Cal said to me. He's one of my secretaries on the board in the headquarters.

''Excuse me?''

''I said, I'm sorry.''

''For what?''

''Sir, it was an accident. I had an appoint with my doctor today and I was stuck in traffic-"

''- All I'm hearing is excuses, Cal. You come here at exactly at ten o'clock, I expect you to come at ten o'clock.''

''But--''

''There's no but. You're fired.''

His eyes widened. "Excuse me? Who the fuck do you think you are?"

"I think I'm the man who has just turned down your business. I don't want your kind near me or my employees. You need to leave, now."

"I did no such thing! You can't talk to me like that!"

"I can talk to you any damn way I please. Leave now before I have you thrown out of here, and don't you dare think about stepping foot in my office again."

His face was red with anger. "You're a piece of shit. I'm going to tell everyone I know what a shitty billionaire you are."

I shrugged. ''You act like this is going to affect my business. Now get the fuck out of here.''

He stormed out of the boardroom, shoving people behind him hard as he went to the elevator.

Dramatic.

Lena appeared in my doorway. "Is everything okay?"

I nodded. "Have security escort that man out of the building and bar him from entering ever again. If I see his face near here, I will personally kick his ass."

''Y--yes, yes sir,'' she stutters then leaves.

I turned to Josie who was in complete shock. She nervously took a step back and sized me up and down as I crossed my arms together.

"Shit," I muttered.

''What?'' Josie asked.

''Nothing, we should leave now.''
