CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

KACEY POV

Once I was out of the bathroom I began washing my hands. I still couldn't believe that Bella had followed me out here.

"So did I mess my makeup or hair?" I taunted while she just rolled her eyes at me.

"It seems that you're just lucky but if you had messed up my perfect hard work I wouldn't have spared you."

I let out a fake gasp.

"Is that a threat?"

Bella shrugged carelessly.

"Hey call it whatever you want but I'm just stating the facts so don't get things twisted."

"Well if you say so."

"Isn't it kinda strange that Amelia is actually super nice towards me?" I asked curiously.

"Do you think she's faking it?"

"I don't know Isabella, that's why I asked you. It just seems off because a few months ago she hated me and she didn't want me to be close to Liam but right now she's like cool that I'm hanging out with him."

"Maybe she truly changed, you should give her a chance, maybe she has the best intentions for you."

"I guess a second chance wouldn't hurt."

"Come on, let's get you dressed, I'm sure that Laim will arrive any time soon."

"Yeah let's go."

Bella and I left the bathroom and went to the dress room to my surprise we found Amelia inside.

"I thought you left."

She shook her head negatively.

"No way I wanna see how you look in this beautiful dress did Liam buy it for you?"

"Actually, no , I bought it with my own money."

"Wow, that's impressive."

I nodded quietly and grabbed the dress.

"I better get changed. I'm sure that Liam will show up any minute."

After getting dressed I went to show my friends how the dress looked and it fit like a glove. The work and embroidery was very impressive. No wonder this dress was very expensive but anyway it was worth every penny.

"Bambi you look amazing if Liam doesn't drool over you then there's something wrong with him."

I blushed and looked away.

"Hey it's not that pretty."

"Come on Bambi the dress looks like it was made for you so stop acting modest" Amelia muttered quietly.

Maybe Bella was right about giving Amelia a second chance if it seemed like she had really changed. Having a friend like her was going to be great and life changing.

Isabella peeked outside the window with excitement.

"It looks like your ride is here Bambi and he looks very impatient."

"Okay I'm almost done, wish me luck guys."

I grabbed my purse and went outside joining Liam while Amelia and Isabella waved me goodbye.

Glancing up at Liam I felt the blush creeping up my Rosy cheeks. He looked really handsome in his black suit and I'm sure that all the other women would have their eyes on me.

"Bambi…you look amazing."

"Thank you Liam, you don't look bad either."

"I'm sure that you'll get all the men's attention at the event tonight."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Let's just go."

He offered me his hand.

"A true gentleman always opens the door for his lady so will you allow me?"

I nodded quietly, hiding the laughter threatening to escape my lips.

"Okay you may."

Liam did a low bow and opened the door for me. Once I was inside I let out a deep breath trying to relax myself. I couldn't understand why I was so nervous all of a sudden was it because of Liam?

He got in the car and the engine roared to life.

"You okay?" He finally asked.

"Yeah I'm fine."

He cocked a brow at me.

"You seem way too quiet tonight. I can tell that something is bothering you, just tell me what it is."

"Ah you've only known me for a month and suddenly you know everything about me?"

"Hey don't get aggressive I didn't say that."

"Just drive."

"Isn't that what I'm doing lady?"

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Don't act so cocky."

"I might as well just get out of this car right now and you'll go at the even date less."

"Okay I'm sorry if I upset you."

AMELIA POV

I picked my things ready to step out of the building when I saw Liam's car drive off in a hurry.

"Hey I thought you had a show tonight?"

I turned around facing Bella.

"I did my performance early so that I could have a break. I need to go somewhere and I'm running late."

I pulled one of the evening gowns from the rack and found a matching mask that would hide my identity.

"That dress seems fancy. Are you going somewhere important?" Bella asked curiously.

I shoved the dress,mask and shoes in my bag and crossed my arms over my chest.

"You can't seem to mind your business."

"Hey don't get upset that's not meant I'm just curious that's all."

"Well this doesn't concern you so I don't have to give you any explanation."

Bella scoffed in annoyance.

"Maybe I was wrong to think that you can ever change Amelia because you're still the bitter woman you've always been."

"Call me whatever you want, I don't really care."

I left the building in a hurry and managed to find a taxi outside the entrance of the club.

I began taking off my clothes in the taxi.

The driver's eyes widened in shock and alarm.

"Lady, what the heck are you doing?"

"Just keep your eyes on the road. I'm only Changing my clothes and not offering you a strip show."

I took off my shirt and jeans slipping into the evening gown I had borrowed. I did a quick makeover and tied my hair in a messy bun and I took out the fake invitation I had gotten made online.

I wore the black high heels and added a coat of red lipstick to my lips, matching my red dress evenly.

A few minutes later the taxi came to a stop and got out taking my things.

"Here's the money I owe you and I paid extra for making you uncomfortable."

The driver smirked at me.

"I wouldn't call it uncomfortable sugar lips you can strip for me any time you feel like it."

I rolled my eyes.

"Don't flatter yourself, just get the cash and get out of here."

He winked at me and drove off.

I looked at the entrance and saw Liam's parked car. I guess that he was already here.

I approached the bouncer that was standing at the entrance of the building.

"Hi-"

"Can I see your invitation?" He asked in a cold tone, cutting me off.

"Maybe you don't have it since you just came out of a taxi unlike the rich guests who are attending this event" he taunted.

"Maybe I just don't like to show my wealth" I muttered angrily as I took out my ticket and showed it to the bouncer.

He checked the invitation.

"You seem legit, you can go inside."

I rolled my eyes at him.

Once I was inside I spotted Liam and Bambi. They were having drinks while laughing together. That little bitch thought that she could steal my life and my man from me but I wasn't going to let her get away with it.

Very soon Liam was going to get tired of her and he was going to come back to me. He just needs a little help to realize what he's missing out on.

I grabbed a drink and took a sip watching them with narrowed eyes. Bambi was constantly glued at Liam's side. I decided to follow them since it was time for the toast everyone was standing up.

I stood behind Bambi. She didn't even realize what was going on.

Host of the event had called Liam's name. He was about to go up on stage but he wanted Bambi to accompany but I wasn't going to let that nerd shine.

Before she could take a step forward I stepped on her dress and I heard something get torn as people around me began gasping in shock.

KACEY POV

I was about to take a step forward but I heard I got torn when I checked my breasts were on display.

Everyone around me gasped as they began murmuring. With the little material left from my dress I covered myself. I couldn't look anyone in the eye as the tears rolled down my cheeks.

Liam draped his jacket over my shoulders. When I looked up all the cameras were zoomed on me.

Someone snatched the mask I was wearing, ripping it in half.

My eyes widened in shock as the woman who held my mask revealed her face.

"Amelia?"

"So Liam is finally satisfied with your little slut now that you know that she's a nobody?"

I looked at Liam who remained silent.

"Her name isn't even Bambi, that's just her stripper name. Her real name is Kacey Simpson and she's a student at Venus university for the gifted."

"You?" Liam finally said when he realized who I really was.

I swallowed hard as the tears spilled down my cheeks.

"You're the girl who slapped me."

"You're the college kid who humiliated me in front of everyone."

I ran out of the venue in tears.
