CHAPTER THIRTY TWO

KACEY POV

I couldn't stand the mere sight of Elijah or mother. Everything about them just disgusted me and made me sick to my stomach. I dragged my suitcase downstairs ready to leave. I could hear my mother calling after me. Once I reached the bottom of the she grasped my hand but I flinched away, unable to tolerate her touch.

She was wearing a bathrobe.

"Don't fucking touch me."

A few seconds later Elijah joined her only dressed in his jeans and he was shirtless.

"Kacey I'm sorry I know that this looks bad but just let me explain myself."

"There's nothing to explain because I already saw everything for myself so what explanation are you planning on offering me?" I demanded angrily.

Elijah stepped in front of my mother shielding her from me like I was going to hurt her.

"Let me talk to her alone Amber '' he muttered quietly.

I scoffed in annoyance.

"Amber?"

"Are you seriously calling her that in front of me? What happened to Mrs Simpson?"

He remained silent.

"Oh because that was probably just an act"

"I didn't want to lie to you Kacey but I was also afraid to tell you the truth as well because I didn't want you to lose you or our friendship."

"I think it's already too late for that Elijah."

"I've wanted to tell you the truth ever since I found out that I was in love with your mother."

"And when did that happen?"

He sighed softly.

"A few months ago when you and I weren't on good terms back at Campus I went to visit your mother hoping that she would give me some advice."

"Don't be upset with her because I'm the one who started this affair when I kissed her. We both tried staying away from each other but we couldn't avoid the attraction that was pulling us."

"Do you remember when I went missing back at Campus? And you thought that my father had transferred me to a new university."

I nodded quietly.

"I was with your mother the whole time."

Before I could stop myself my hand already struck his left cheek, slapping him hard until I felt my hand palm twitching with pain.

I swallowed hard.

"You're an idiot Elijah."

"Kacey don't be angry with him ever since your father left Elijah is just a boy and yet he has been more supportive than your father."

I glared at her.

"Don't even fucking put Elijah and my father in the same sentence because it pisses me off."

"You can keep your stupid relationship I won't try to stop you but get one thing straight we can't stay in the same house."

"Right now I can't stand the sight of both of you. I never thought that I could hate my own mother so much."

"I worked as a stripper because I wanted to help you save the bakery but all my efforts went down the drain when you just thought that I was sleeping around with men."

I looked her in the eyes coldy.

"You thought I was a whore because I got pregnant because I don't know the man who fathered my baby but the only whore here is your mother."

"Kacey!" Elijah yelled angrily as he raised his hand ready to slap me but my mother stopped him.

"Does the truth hurt?" I taunted quitely.

"What are you waiting for? Slap me because I'm not afraid of you Elijah."

He withdrew his hand.

"You don't have it inside you because you'll never be man enough."

I turned to look at my mother.

"And you mother, you could have been the sensible one in this situation yet you chose to act childish you're twelve years older than him, don't you realize that you're ruining his life?!"

"Kacey please."

I spared one last glance at her over my shoulder.

"Now I understand why my father left you."

I slammed the door shut and began walking into the streets. It was true that I had nowhere to go but I wasn't going to ask Liam for help because I didn't need it. Tears spilled down my cheeks and sob escaped my lips.

I wiped away my tears with the back of my hand. Crying wasn't going to solve anything. I had lost everything including my mother and my best friend. I couldn't go back there. I had to start my life afresh without any of them being involved.

My mother was trying to call me but I turned off my cell phone.

It was now dark but I still continued my journey.

For hours I kept walking until I felt my feet get sore but I didn't try to stop. I had to get away from home. I was going to leave by train, hopefully it would take me far away.

I placed my hand over my stomach when I felt my stomach growl. I left home without probably eating anything I was starving.
I took a few dollars I had and bought a cupcake along with some water.

I didn't have much on me but this would have to do for now.

RON POV

Res wrapped his arms around me as everything began to look hazy.

"Why did you wear a mask?" He whispered in my ear.

"Because I'm not allowed to show my face to anyone and that includes you."

His hand went to my lower back until I felt it resting on my butt.

I looked up at him and he smirked.

"Can't you make an exception for me?"

"No."

"No?" He was repeatedly shocked.

Res was the kind of guy who got everything he wanted at any time. I bet that he was surprised that I rejected him. He was used to all the girls giving into his demands but I was one of those girls.

"You're the first girl who has ever rejected me."

"You know that I'm a prince right?"

I let out a gasp.

"Oh and I must be the queen of England" I taunted while he rolled his eyes at me.

"You don't have to act so dramatic."

"You sound pissed off, am I also the first girl to make you pissed off?"

"You talk too much for my own liking woman."

"Then do something about it."

Before I could think of another comeback, Res crushed his lips on mine and my eyes widened in shock.

He bit my lip forcing me to open as he thrusted his tongue inside my mouth.

He pulled away breathing heavily while I glared at him.

"It looks like I found your weakness."

His eyes darkened with desire.

"You can't taunt me when my tongue is shoved down your throat."

"You're such a-"

"A good kisser?" He finished for me.

"No a dick."

He let out a gasp.

"Wow you're already eager to taste my dick."

I glared at him.

"Stop twisting my words."

"Trust me, if when dick was inside you I would make sure that you forget your name."

I could feel the heat in my cheeks.

The girls on stage began to pack their things and that was my cue to leave.

"Where do you think you're going?"

I turned around to look at him.

"Leaving this party because my shift is over."

He held my hand to stop me.

"What if I book you and your team for the whole night? Would you stay?" He asked curiously.

"No."

"No?"

He sighed deeply.

"I really hate it when that word comes out of your mouth."

"Why?"

"Let's just say that I hate getting rejected."

"Rejection is more like someone is challenging me and you keep doing that it's starting to get on my nerves."

I winked at him.

"I'll see you around Prince Res."

I walked away from him and never turned back. A wicked smirk plastered on my face because I was impressed on how I handled things.

Our next meeting should be more interesting next time now that I have gotten his attention.

LIAM POV

The next morning I decided to go back to club kiss to visit the mistress because I needed some answers. She was in charge of all the contracts of the workers here including Kacey. I'm sure that she knows something.

Before I could knock on her office I heard someone call my name.

"Mr. Praise."

I found a young woman staring at me.

"The mistress isn't here at the moment. Is it okay if we talk? I'm Kacey's best friend."

I nodded quietly.

"Sure."

We went to the back of the building.

"My name is Isabella but you can call me Bella. Kacey and I used to perform together and I know why you're here."

"I might have some of the answers you've been looking for."

"Kacey wasn't comfortable with this job but it was the only way she could help her mother."

I cocked a brow at her.

"What do you mean?"

"Kacey was only working here in order to pay off the debts that her father had left behind."

"If they didn't pay the debts Kacey and her mother would have lost their bakery."

"People judged Kacey wrongly when she had the purest intentions when she took up this job."

"Thank you for telling me the truth Bella. I know that Kacey wouldn't have told me anything."

Once I went back home I contacted the people who wanted to demolish the bakery and paid off every debt that Kacey's father had left behind.

It was now time to face Kacey's mother.
