CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE
LIAM POV
The woman I was after turned out to be the last person I was expecting to see. Bambi wasn't even a real person, instead she was the girl who had humiliated me in front of everyone by slapping me and I know I had mixed feelings. I wasn't even sure if I loved her anymore. But watching her being humiliated on live television like that I had also torn me to pieces.
Amelia stood a few feet away from me with a smug smirk playing on her lips. I grabbed her hand pulling her outside away from the public eye.
Once we were alone I let go of her. She winced in pain while rubbing her red wrists.
"Did you really have to hold my wrist very tightly? Look at what you've done, you've left marks."
I frowned at her. I couldn't care less about the marks or the pain I had inflicted in her.
"Why did you do that to Bambi?" I asked angrily, trying to keep my voice low as possible.
"I did you a big favor by exposing such a liar like her. You should be thanking me and stop calling her that name."
I pinned her against the wall and she let out a gasp.
"You talk way too much for my liking Amelia, you're acting like a jealous woman right now and that role doesn't suit you."
The mere sight of her was pissing me off. It was too bad that I couldn't inflict any more damage on her otherwise she would have been a goner by now.
She glared at me.
"Stop acting that way, it really gets on my nerves Liam."
I gave her a puzzled look.
"What way?"
"Like you care about her."
Tears filled her eyes.
"Please tell me that you don't care about that little girl, what does she have that I can't give you Liam?"
"I did all of this so that I can be with you Liam and yet after all my efforts you're still pushing me away."
"I already told you that whatever happened between us was just a fling. You gave me what I wanted and now I'm done with you."
Amelia shook her head negatively.
"That can't be true Liam you just can't toss me away all because of that college girl."
"Deal with it Amelia."
I released and she slumped to the ground weakly.
I glanced back at her over my shoulder.
"If I were you I would find a way to clean up the mess you've created because of your petty jealousy."
"You're going to have to lie to the media if it's necessary."
"I won't do anything for Kacey whatever is happening to her is only because she deserved it."
"I guess you've left me without any other choice."
I walked out and left Amelia. By the time I was arriving outside Kacey was long gone and she was nowhere to be seen. A part of regrets leaving her standing there like I didn't know her I saw the look she had given me.
She was pleading for help and I didn't help her. I wish that I had done something to help her.
KACEY POV
I didn't bother to look for a taxi, I just wanted to get away from the charity and from the eyes of the people who were judging me. I never stopped running not until I arrived at the club kiss on foot. I had abandoned my heels and came running barefoot when I finally arrived. My feet felt sore and my knees threatened to buckle against my own will.
I banged on the door but the club was locked. I had only two options: either going back to campus or going to Isabella's house. If I went back to campus at this hour in this state Ronnie would ask me a lot of questions and I wasn't ready to tell her the truth.
Liam had abandoned me and he never even followed me to make sure that I was alright. If he really cared about me he would have come looking for me but he remained behind with Amelia. I should have known that her kindness was just a pretense.
I wiped my tears away and began walking at Isabella's house on foot. I would eventually get there by walking. I couldn't run anymore because I had exhausted all of my energy.
RONNIE POV
I glanced at my phone and saw no messages from Kacey. It was clear that she wasn't coming back tonight but the least she could have done was to inform that she wasn't coming.
A knock on my door startled me, maybe it was Kacey. I got out of bed and went to open the door only to find Res reeking of alcohol standing in my doorway.
"Resmond?"
He looked back at me with a smug smirk playing on his lips.
"What are you doing here?"
I looked around outside but I saw no one was with him. Resmond was on his own in the midnight of the night; it seemed like he had come back from one of his wild parties. Sometimes I wondered how on earth he could keep up his grades.
"I don't like you or your face kid but I'm only here because I need a favor."
I crossed my arms over my chest.
"If you don't like me or my face maybe you should consider asking for a favor elsewhere."
Res smirked at me.
"What's so funny?"
"You trying to tough it doesn't suit you kid."
Res pushed past me and went inside and I decided to follow him.
"I never said that you could come in."
He turned back to look at me while I closed the door.
"And I never asked for your permission. I'm a prince, remember? I don't need anyone's permission because my father is the fucking king!"
I glared at him.
"Your father might be the king but this isn't Cordelia."
"So why are you really here?" I asked curiously.
"I need a place to crush for the night because that little bitch locked me out."
A chuckle escaped my lips before I could stop myself.
"Wow you got locked out by a girl and you call yourself a prince."
Res pinned me against the wall and the air left my lungs.
"You think this is funny?"
I remained silent.
"This is my room, you can't threaten me."
"Besides you don't get to ask favors from me because we aren't even friends."
He cocked a brow at me.
"I wasn't asking for your permission, I can take whatever I want."
I looked away, refusing to meet his burning gaze.
"Let go of me, your breath stinks."
He smiled at me.
"We'll see about that."
Before I could utter a word Res crushed his lips on mine stealing a gasp from me as his body held me in place.
He pulled away with a smirk.
"I guess that means you stink as well."
My eyes widened in horror.
KACEY POV
It felt like I had been walking for hours until I finally came across Isabella's house. The lights were already off I guess she must have been asleep by now.
I probably looked like I was coming from a Halloween party. My dress was torn,my hair was a mess and my make-up was smudged because of my crying. So far it has been a horrible night and I couldn't wait to just lay down in bed and scream until I lost my voice.
I knocked on the door waiting for Isabella's response but it was oddly silent.
"Isabella."
I hope that her parents weren't home to visit her or something because it would be very awkward if they saw me this way.
The light turned on and Isabella opened the door, her gaze lingered on my dress and face.
"Kacey?"
She unlocked the door and I walked in wrapping my arms around her. As the tears finally rolled down my cheeks.
Isabella held me tightly.
"What happened?"
"Liam…" I choked out trying to recall the horrible moment.
Isabella let go of me.
"Come with me and tell me what happened."
She closed the door and I followed her to her bedroom.
"Go freshen up, take a shower and wear my pajamas. I'll go get some wine."
I nodded quietly and slipped out of my torn dress. I grabbed Liam's jacket, holding it like it was going to bring him back. I hated the fact that it smelled like him.
A part of me resented him and the other one still craved to be with him but I knew that I couldn't have both.
Loving a person was definitely a losing game. First was Maxwell and now Liam. I should have seen this coming but I was blinded by his charm.
I tossed his jacket away and stepped into the shower hoping to wash away all the humiliation.
The next morning I borrowed a few clothes from Isabella and went back to campus in low spirits. Once I arrived all eyes were on me and people kept giving me dirty looks.
I couldn't understand what was going on until I saw one of the girls watching a video with my face on it.
Everything that happened last night had been posted and the video had gone viral. Everyone at campus probably figured out that I was working as a stripper at club kiss.
