Reese begins working at the studio every night avoiding Luca. He has been cold to her since the day they had sex on his office floor. He told no one she was a vampire. He did not fire her but stayed distant.
Kat observed the tension between them when they were all together but did not mention it or say a word. Reese and Luca both keep it professional.
Kat and Reese become inseparable. Reese became a great advocate for the girls working at the studio. She was on their side first. To hell with production or the bottom line she took care of the woman first.
The studio was doing better than ever. Luca nor anyone else could say a word to her. She took care of business. Reese buried herself in her work and her work was the studio.
It’s been two months since Luca had a real conversation with Reese. He has to be at the studio tonight and he knows Reese will be there.
“Reese, I have some questions about the script?” Daniel asks her.
Reese waves him into her office. Daniel the sweet new guy he seems to always find an excuse to make his way into her office. Not that she really minds. He is super hot and nice to look at.
“Sure, whats up?” Reese says.
“Why isn’t Kat performing with me on this one?” he asks.
Reese takes the script from him. “Because it’s the Candy Shop script. Which means its Candys. Remember?” Reese says.
She knows that he is fully aware. She plays along. She figures he will eventually get the balls about him to ask her what he is dying to since day one.
“Daniel, you have a set lead, you know that right? You can always ask them any questions you have,” Reese reminds him.
“Yeah I know. I just thought I would drop in and say hi,” Daniel says.
As the two of them banter back and forth they don’t even notice Luca standing in the door.
“Hi then,” Reese says to Daniel.
“Hey you got plans after work?” Daniel asks.
“Nope,” Reese says.
“Then you want to grab a bite with me?” Daniel asks.
“Sure,” Reese says. She finally notices Luca standing behind Daniel.
“I should be done about thirty minutes after you guys. So just drop in here and get me,” Reese says.
Daniel smiles and backs out of the office right into Luca.
“Sorry Mr.Myles,” Daniel says.
Luca says nothing. He waits for Daniel to get down the hall. “I need the weekly reports Reese,” Luca says.
“Already emailed all of them to you Luca. There was no need for you to come to my office. I know you do not want to see me,” Reese says.
“You are doing a great job here. I am glad you decided to run the studio,” Luca says.
“Well it was that or be fired, right?” She says.
Luca waits a moment. “Reese, We should probably have a talk sometime,” he says.
“Yeah we probably should,” she says.
“I guess not tonight since you got a hot date,” Luca says.
“Luca, you have no right to even ask me what I do,” Reese says.
“Unless it has to do with my studio. Don’t be biting the talent,” he says.
“Oh my damn! I said I was sorry. If there is nothing else I have a studio to run,” she says.
“No nothing else. I just needed the weekly reports and I wanted to check in on everyone. Then I will be out of your hair,” Luca says.
“Okay Thanks. Kat is in her dressing room. Make sure you go by and see her. It will hurt her feelings if you don’t. Please go by there,” Reese says.
“Consider it done,” Luca says.
He stands in silence a moment. He is waiting to see if Reese says anything else to him. She ignores him. She is still heavily attracted to him but trying to let it go. She loves her job and doesn’t want to anger him.
“Anything else sir,” Reese says.
“No. I guess I will be going,” Luca says.
“Bye,” Reese says never looking away from her computer.
Luca leaves Reese’s office and walks straight to Kat’s dressing room. He feels crushed. He has an unbelievable longing for Reese but is afraid of her.
Luca knocks on Kat’s door. “Come in chief,” Kat says.
“Hi honey I am home,” Luca says jokingly.
Kat gets up and runs to Luca. She wraps her arms around him. “It’s about damn time you came to see me,” Kat says.
“I know,” Luca says. He takes a seat on Kat’s couch.
“So whats been going on big man,” Kat asks.
Luca rolls his eye at her. “Just come out with it Kat,” he says.
“What the hell is going on with you and Reese? This tension is unbearable. You two damn. I saw the sexual tension between you but this. What did she do or what did you do?” Kat asks.
Luca grabs a pillow off of Kats couch and begins fluffing it. “Its not that simple Kat. It is beyond complicate,” Luca says.
“Well honey you need to either get over it or come to some terms with her. She is one hot mama. Someone will snatch her up right out from under you and then you better not come down her crying to me. I will just say told you so,” Kat says.
“I know. I think that Daniel guy is after her. He asked her to go out after work,” Luca says.
“Oh yeah. That is the word. He has had his eye on her since he started her. He goes to her with everything. He follows her around like a puppy,” Kat says.
“How does she act toward him.?” Luca asks.
“Well, Luca, I have to be honest. I don’t think she has a big interest in him. Reese is very professional. She does grab a bite to eat with us sometimes after work but beyond that she is professional with everyone. Well except me. We have gotten pretty close over the last few months,” Kat says.
“Oh then I have nothing to worry about,” Luca says.
“Oh so you don’t want her but you don’t want her to have anyone else. I see. You know I shouldn’t tell you this, but that new guy in your office. Your new PA. He calls her a lot,” Kat says.
“Its not like that. I don’t know how I feel. Do I have to decide how I feel right now?” Luca asks.
“No but I wouldn’t fuck around too long. She is a hot ticket item. She wont be on the shelf long,” Kat says.
“You’re right Kat. As always. That’s why I pay you the big bucks,” Luca says.
“Come to dinner with us after the shoot,” Kat says.
“I don’t know if that is such a good idea,” Luca says.
“Yes it is. Be here to pick me up after the shoot or else I will quit,” Kat says.
“No you wont. But just in case. I will pick you up. You can be my date,” Luca says.
He gets up from the couch and gives Kat a hug. “I guess I better go check on everyone else. I don’t want people thinking I give you special treatment,” Luca says.
Kat gives Luca a peck on the cheek and a smack on the bottom. “Be nice out there big man,” she says.
Kat has had enough. She decides to go talk to Reese about this nonsense. She leaves her dressing room to go find out what exactly is going on here.

Kat knocks on Reese’s door. “Knock Knock sugar,” Kat says.

Reese waves her in. She in locked onto her computer with the phone to one ear.
“See you tonight,” Reese says as she hangs up.
Kat sits down in the chair across from Reese’s desk.
“Hot date?” Kat asks.
“Maybe,” She says.
“Details girl. You know I need them. My dating life is dry as hell. Spill it,” Kat saya.
“Well. Between me and you that was Thomas. You know Luca’s PA. Look before you even give me the third degree its just dinner. He wants to thank me for all the help I have given him,” Reese says.
“Hmmm.I see,” Kat says.
“Spill it Kat,” Reese says.
“You know I had a long conversation with Luca. He was hot about Daniel asking you to grab a bite after work. He did not think I could tell. But girl I have lived my life reading men and he was for sure bothered by the situation,” Kat says.
Reese leans back in her chair. “Damn I told Daniel I would grab a bite with yall tonight. I have got to let him down easy,” Reese says.
“So what does this Thomas guy look like?” Kat says.
“Well. I do not know. I have never seen him before. We have only talked on the phone Kat. He could be a troll,” Reese says.
“Well you could at least work out some frustrations on him,” Kat says.
“True,” Reese says.
“We all know you are stressed. Let the new PA take care of some of that stress. Its not like you see him,” Kat says.
“Kat you are bad. I mean you are bad to the damn bone. You need to come over this weekend. We are off all weekend. We could have a girls night,” Reese says.
“I would love too. Then you can tell me about all the super hot stuff you and the new PA do on you extra HOT DATE!” Kat teases.
“Well I doubt it will be that hot. Probably be dinner and take me home so I can get some sleep. Where is everybody going to eat tonight? I will bring him,” Reese asks.
“Good idea, but just know I invited Luca,” Kat says.
“Good, so we are we all meeting up?” Reese asks.
“The dungeon bar, where else can a bunch of misfits go?” Kat says.
