chapter 12

Reese wraps everything up for the night. Daniel drops by her office.
“Are you about ready?” Daniel asks.
“Daniel I am going to meet everyone there. You are going to the Dungeon Bar right?” Reese says.
“Yeah. Unless you want to go somewhere else?” Daniel asks.
“No. I think Luca is coming as well as his PA. His PA Thomas is riding with me. I believe everyone is coming,” Reese says.
“Okay. Sounds good,” Daniel says. Reese could tell he was disappointed.
She knew she should have dinner with him one night but nothing more. She really didn’t want him to get the wrong idea since they had to work together on a daily basis. She knew how well that had worked for her in the past.
Reese finishes up with her work and shuts down her computer. She looks up to see Kat smiling at her.
“What? It better not be anything. I have already shut down my computer and I am not turning it back on. I am done for the day. I need a drink,” Reese says.
“Well I found something wondering the halls looking for you,” Kat says.
She steps out of the way and gives Thomas a little push in the door. He is really tall, dark hair, a little subtle, and sexy as hell.
“Hi Reese. Kat was nice enough to walk me all the way to your office. You are kind of way back in the building aren’t you,” Thomas says.
“They like to keep me locked away,” Reese says.
She comes out from behind her desk to greet him. She sees Luca coming up from behind Kat. She reaches out to give Thomas a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“It is so good to finally meet you,” she says.
“You too. So we are all going to the Dungeon?” Thomas asks.
“Yes, all of us are going. I am sure Luca has taken you there,” she says.
“Actually no. I have never been,” Thomas says.
“Oh well. After we eat, I will give you a private tour of it,” Reese says.
Luca was furious. All he could imagine is Reese on her back in one of his dungeon rooms with his new PA pounding her into submission. He did not like what he was seeing.
“Do you mind driving Thomas? You can bring me back her to get my car after,” Reese asks.
“Sure, not a problem,” Thomas says.
Reese and Thomas walk out of her office. Kat and Luca follow.
Kat nudges Luca. “Jealousy looks mighty ugly on you Luca. Its not what you think. He just wants to thank her for all her help. So either decide you want her or stop being a royal dick!” Kat says.
Luca gives Kat a go to hell look. “I am not jealous,” he says.
“Whatever sugar,” Kat says.
“Stop it Kat,”Luca says.
“Sure thing. Just take my advice, either tell her or let her go. If you don’t want her fix it to where you can at least be friends. She is great for this place,” Kat says.
Luca nods. He knows Kat is right. He isn’t sure how he wants to proceed. He isn’t sure he wants to be involved with a vampire. Not even a hot sexy one that he cannot stop thinking about.
Thomas and Reese leave in his car. Luca and Kat ride together to the dungeon.
“Can you not fuss on me all the way to the dungeon?”Luca says.
“No problem, sugar. Just drive. I will behave,” Kat says.
Thomas pulls up to the valet. He and Reese go into the bar to grab a drink while they wait on everyone to get there.
“So tell me about you,” Thomas asks Reese.
“There is not a lot to tell Thomas. I have a brother. I am divorced. I have no kids. I am dedicated to my job. What about you?” Reese says.
“About the same. Divorced, no kids, one sister, not a lot to tell,” Thomas says.
“Do you want me to show you the dungeon?” Reese asks.
“Sure. Now or after we eat something?” Thomas inquires.
“Totally up to you,” Reese says.
Luca and Kat come in followed by the studio crew. Everyone comes to the bar to order shots.
Reese and Thomas have a shot and grab a bucket of beers. The two of them head for the patio. Luca is infuriated. Kat gives him the settle your ass down look. She knows this is bothering way more than he is letting on.
“Do you want to go out on the patio and spy on them,” Kat asks him.
“No need. I can pull the patio cam up on my phone,” Luca says.
“Don’t do that. Now you are just being creepy,” Kat says.
“You are right. But I am still going to do it,” Luca says.
“No need. I think they are headed for the dungeon,” Kat says.
“WHAT!” Luca says.
Luca looks toward the patio and see Reese and Thomas heading toward the dungeon with a beer.
“I wonder what they are going to do?” Luca says in a fit of rage.
“He wanted to see the dungeon. You idiot! What do you think is going to happen? You think she is going to take him down there and fuck his brains out?” Kat says.
“I do not know, Kat” Luca says.
“If you don’t want her going down there then stop them, but Luca you better know you cant try to control her. She is not in your life. You are being possessive. You two are not in a relationship. Hell the two of you are barely speaking to one another. So either take her down there yourself and fuck her or let her be,”Kat says.
“You’re right, Kat,”Luca says.
Luca leans over and gives Kat a kiss on the cheek. “I am going down there,” Luca says.
Luca walks fast to the dungeon entrance. He isn’t sure what in the hell he is going to say to Reese or Thomas but he knows he has to talk to her.
Luca walks through the main door. Josephine is working the desk. “Is Reese down here?” Luca asks.
Josephine nods and points to Room 4. “Give me the key,” Luca demands.
Luca barrels down the hall to Room 4. He stops outside the door and listens for a moment. He hears giggling.
He puts the key in the door and opens it. Thomas and Reese are in the room talking and giggling.
“What are you doing here?” Reese asks.
“I was going to ask you that?” Luca says.
“You came down here to see if I was fucking him, didn’t you?” Reese says.
“She just picked a room. I only wanted to see what the big deal is. Nothing is happening,” Thomas says.
“we were about to go back up and get another shot, Luca. You look like you could use one,”Reese says.
Reese is pissed.

“Thomas, could you give me a moment with Reese?” Luca says.
“Sure thing, boss,” Thomas says.
Thomas goes out the door. Luca walks over and locks the door.
“Are you trying to drive me mad?” Luca says.
Reese slaps him. “Stop it! You either want me or you do not? Plain and simple! Got it! You cannot dictate to me what I am doing or who I am doing! Got it?” Reese screams at him.
Luca grabs her and pulls her into his arms. He kisses her. She pulls away from him and slaps him again.
“Stop it!” Reese says.
“I am sorry, Reese. I have been going crazy. The thought of you down here with someone else is making me crazy,” Luca says.
“Yet you don’t want to be with me?” Reese says.
Luca pulls her in to him. He holds her tight in his arms. “I am afraid of you,”He says.
“Afraid of me, because of what I am?” she asks.
“Yes,” he says.
“You need to decide if you can get over it or not. When you do let me know,” Reese screams at him.
He grabs her hand. “Please Reese don’t leave me down here alone. Stay and lets talk this out,” Luca says.
“Talk. I have tried to talk to you for months. You put me off on your new PA. Tonight when he shows me some attention. Now you want to talk. You need to grow up Luca. Grow a pair,” she screams.
Reese storms out of the room and goes back to the bar. She finds Thomas. “Can we go?” she asks him.
“Sure,” Thomas says.
As Thomas and Reese leave the bar Luca comes up. Kat shakes her head at him. “You handled that wrong. Its fixable but you shouldn’t have done that,” Kat says.
“I know,” Luca says.
