chapter 14

Reese decides to sleep in her office for the night. She walks down to Kat’s dressing room to take a shower. She hopes there are no cameras in the damn shower. Reese is distraught but trying to hold herself together as she steps into Kat’s shower.
She stands in the hot water trying to calm down. She uses Kat’s shampoo and conditioner to wash her hair. She grabs a clean wash cloth off the rack just outside of the shower and Kat’s body wash. She washes herself. She begins to cry uncontrollably. Reese sits down in the shower to let the hot water rinse away her tears.
She leans her head back against the shower wall when she hears a noise. “Great Luca probably left the door open and someone has snuck in here,” she says.
“Reese,” Kat hollers.
“I am in your shower,” Reese hollers back.
Reese steps out of the shower and grabs a towel.
“I hope you didn’t mind. I just needed to freshen up. I had extra clothes in my office but I needed a shower,” she says.
“Honey, what happened? I just past Luca having one of hell of a fit,” Kat says.
“Well, evidently he has a camera in my office and got an eye full of me and Thomas,” Reese says.
“That pervert. What the hell,” Kat says.
“He fired Thomas, but not me. He just stormed out of here like a mad man,” Reese says.
Reese dresses and towels off her hair.
“Honey, I am not relationship expert. Trust me I got enough ex-husbands for both of us, but I know one thing and do not think I am justifying what he did because that was wrong. But and this is just my opinion, I think the man has got it bad for you,” Kat says.
“Well, he blew it months ago and if he did not then he damn sure did tonight,” Reese says.
Kat walks over to Reese and hugs her. “No worries that is why God made Tequila,” Kat says.
Kat guides Reese to her dressing table. “Sit down here and let me blow dry your hair. Use some of that moisturizer in that pink container,” Kat says.
Kat takes the towel down and rubs Reese’s long hair. She plugs up her blow dryer and stretches out the cord. She turns it on low heat and begins blowing out Reese’s hair.
“Just relax, We will get you freshened up and then we will open up the booze and you can tell me all about it sugar,” Reese says.
Reese closes her eyes and lets Kat pamper her. It feels good for someone to care. Kat has become like a sister to her. She knows eventually she will have to tell her all about her secret.
Kat finishes Reese’s hair and kisses her forehead. “Feel better,” she says.
“Yes, thank you. I needed that,” Reese says.
“Happy to help. You’ve been good to me Reese and now I am going to be good to you,” Kat says.
The two women grab the bottle of Tequila and head to studio set one. It has never been used and is set up with a double king size bed. They jump on the and start passing the bottle back and forth.
“Has he always been this nuts,” Reese asks.
Kat takes a big drink out of the bottle. “No way. He has dated a few here and there but you girl have gotten under his skin. You must have the magic pussy,” Kat says.
“I do not know about all of that. I am not even sure why I slept with him, but things went bad fast,” Reese says.
Reese leaves out the part about her being a vampire and that she drank so much from him in a fit of passion it made him sick. That is a story for another day and a bigger bottle of booze.
“Truth is Reese. I think Luca needs to answer for what he did her tonight and he needs to take that camera out of your office but I also think you fucked Thomas to be vengeful,” Kat says.
“No I was not. I was just horny,” Reese says laughing and grabbing the bottle back.
“I do not blame you. Girl that man is hot. Was it good? I got to know,” Kat says.
“Not as good as Luca,” Reese says with a huge grin.
“You slut,” Kat says with a laugh.
“With Luca it was spiritual. I cannot explain it. It was like the most exciting sex ever. The way he touched me. The way he kissed me. I must be drunk to tell you all of this,” Reese says.
Reese takes another drink and flops down on a big comfy pillow.
“I hope no one has snuck in this bed for a quickie,” Reese says jokingly.
“No I keep it clean in case of bad weather and I need a place to sleep for a night. I only fucked Jay in here once. Back before he was an asshole,” Kat says.
Reese raises up, “You fucked Jay, details,” she says.
“Nothing to tell. We were both drunk and blowing off steam. His wife had just left and my husband number 6 had just left me. So we took it out on each other. He got attached then he started acting crazy,” Kat says.
“I am starting to think all men are crazy. I have a good brother. He is my constant in my life,” Reese says.
“Wait you have a brother. Is he hot?” Kat says.
“Eww He is my brother. He is a very sweet guy. You two should meet up. He has had a few wives himself. You can swap horror stories,” Reese says.
“Set me up. I need some flavor in my life,” she says.
Reese reaches for the bottle, “I think we finished it,” she says.
Kat looks at the bottle, “Yeah I think you are right,” she says.
“I think I made my decision about what to do,” Reese says.
“Well you aren’t driving home. I guess we are sleeping together tonight,” Kat says.
Kat stumbles out of the bed and grabs two blankets out of the closet. She lays one on her side of the bed and the takes the pink one and covers Reese. “Goodnight my friend.”
