chapter 26

Roman and Kat get a private plane within the hour. “I am going to kill him,” Roman tells Kat.
Kat is inconsolable, she can’t stop crying. “What do you think he is going to do?” Kat says.
“Reese isn’t very strong Kat. She feeds very little. She isn’t as strong as I am or you will be. She only drinks enough blood to sustain her,” Roman says.
“Will she get sick,” Kat asks.
“She needs micro amounts every few hours. Her smoothies she drinks all the time. It has a small amount in it. If she doesn’t feed she will start to deteriorate quickly,” Roman says.
Kat begins to cry. She is so angry and upset. Her knew emotions are all over the place. “Calm down. Don’t let your emotions get out of control,” Roman says.
“I’m trying. I told her to go out. I told her to get out of the house. This is my entire fault,” Kat says. She leans into Roman.
“No this is not your fault, this is his fault and he will pay for this,” Roman says.
The plane lands just after 9 pm. The two get a taxi and head for Reese’s apartment. Roman is furious and trying not to lash out before he gets to the apartment. When the two arrive Roman pays the cab and they run up the steps to the apartment.
Roman walks in to find Thomas waiting patiently for them. He hands them Reese’s phone. “Did she eat anything? Has she feed before he grabbed her?” Roman asked.
“No we were waiting on food. She had a vial with her but it is still in her purse full,” Thomas says.
Roman takes out Reese’s phone. He scrolls through it. He dials Luca’s number. He doesn’t answer.
“Where do you think he would take her?” Roman asks Kat.
“The dungeon, “Kat says.
“Do you think they would tell you if she was there?” Roman says.
“Tony would, he doesn’t care for Luca,” Kat says.
“Let’s go,” Roman says.
The three of them leave the apartment with a vial of blood for Reese and her phone. “Thomas, can you drive?” Roman asks.
“Yes, I am parked right out front,” Thomas says.
The three of them get into Thomas’s car and head for the dungeon. “The only other place he might take her is the studio. There is no one there,” Kat suggest.
“Let’s check there first,” Roman says.
Thomas takes the turn to the studio. When the three approach the studio they see Luca’s car. “Bingo,” Thomas says.
“I have a key to the door,” Kat says.
She reaches into her purse and pulls out the key. The three park down from the studio drive. “Maybe he won’t see us pull in,” Thomas says.
“I don’t care. He is dead,” Roman says.
Roman bolts from the car before the others can get out. He uses the key Kat gave him to opens the door. As he walks in he hears Reese scream.
“Are you fucking crazy? Let me go!” Reese screams.
“LUCA!!!!” Roman screams. Roman runs down the hall to Reese’s office.
He opens the door to see his sister tied to a chair. Luca is standing behind. “I will kill her, Roman,” Luca screams.
Kat rushes in behind Roman. Thomas waits outside the office. He is afraid he might agitate Luca more than he already has.
“Now Luca, sugar, you don’t want to hurt her,” Kat says.
Reese’s face is black and blue. She is losing color in her face. The only color in her face is the mascara that has run down her face from crying and the bruises from where Lucas has beaten her.
“She is fucking Thomas,” Luca screams.
“Luca, we need to give her some food. She is very sick. Why don’t you let me feed her and then you two can talk like two grownups. You don’t want to hurt her,” Kat says calmly.
Roman is furious but trying to let Kat resolve this.
“No fuck her. Let her die,” Luca says.
Roman has had enough. Seeing his sister beaten and dying he can’t restrain himself any more. “Fuck this,” Roman screams.
He runs at Luca grabs him and bites into his neck. Kat takes the moment to grab Reese. She pushes the chair Luca has her tied to out the office door to Thomas. Thomas and Kat work quickly to free her.
Thomas takes the small vial out of his pocket and gives it to Reese. “You got to drink it all Reese,” Thomas says.
“Sugar you got to drink it,” Kat says.
Reese lifts up her head and takes the vial. She drinks it. “You should heal quickly,” Thomas says. Thomas picks her up and carries her out.
Kat returns to the office to see if Roman has killed Luca. Roman is still biting into Luca. Luca is screaming. Roman doesn’t let up. He bites and pulls at Luca’s neck. He is pulling him apart.
When Luca stops moving, Roman stops biting him. He drops Luca on the floor. “Are you okay, sweetie,” Kat says.
“Yes, we got to get rid of the body,” Roman says.
“How do we do that?” Kat says.
“I will get Thomas to help me. Go check on Reese, Stay with her. Send Thomas in to help me,” Roman says.
Kat acknowledges her orders from Roman. She goes back to the car. Thomas has Reese laying in the backseat. “Thomas honey, Roman needs your help. I will stay with her,” Kat says.
Kat stays with her while Thomas and Roman get rid of Luca. She sits in the backseat with Reese’s head in her lap.
“I am so sorry sweetie,” Kat says.
