Chapter 53 In Love
Brielle POV
present
I came towards his mansion and went straight to my room. I don't know what to do now.
Carly is back, and I saw both of them in a restaurant. They were hugging each other, giving me heartaches.
Brielle, you're the stupidest girl in the world who thought that someone like Zuriel would ever love an average looking girl like you who doesn't have anything
I leaned my head back on the edge of the bed while sitting on the floor.
Suddenly, my phone buzzed, and I flinched at the sound of vibration.
I quickly look at my phone. It's a notification from Instagram.
It was a birthday greeting for me.
I quickly looked at the date on my phone and gasped.
Today is my birthday.
I started laughing. My mind started whirling around all the memories of a lot of incidents I've been through. I think I'm made for being hurt by others.
First, my high school classmates
Then, my parents leave me forever.
Then, my uncle, who was like a second father to me, said, "I'm useless and I should die."
Then, finally, when I got married and fell in love with my husband, he already loved someone else. He is not mine and never will be mine.
I cried so loudly, screaming all over, "I don't want to live now. There is nothing left. Everything is just finished."
I lay on the floor of my room, biting my lips. Tears have now dried on my eyes. There are no more tears, no more pain now.
I've felt completely hollow from the inside, completely alone from my
My eyes felt so heavy, and slowly the blackness spread across them.
"Stop it," I growled and kept my hand over my ear, trying to block the sound around me.
"Ugh," I sat up from the floor and looked at my phone screen.
It was ten missed calls from Samuel, Zuriel's best friend.
Why was he calling me?
I quickly called him. He picked up just after a ring.
"Hey Bri, please come as fast as you can. I'm messaging you the address," he said, and I could feel panic in his voice.
I frowned.
"What happened?" I asked, but he had already hung up the call.
I quickly stood up, and a message arrived on my phone.
I tilted my head back. It was the address of the Seven Seasons hotel. It was a seven-star chain of hotels owned by Richardson Empires, but why did he want me to come there?
Without thinking twice, I quickly changed my clothes and went there.
I entered the lobby and there I saw a waiter approaching me.
"Ma'am to the garden," he said, motioning to the garden.
"But.." before I could ask, he also went away from there hastily.
Why was everyone behaving so weird today?
I came towards the garden, and there was darkness around. I didn't see properly what was there.
Suddenly, the lights came on, and I closed my eyes quickly. For some time, there was darkness around my eyes.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to the most beautiful girl in the world," Samuel's voice makes me turn around and I gasped when I saw him with the very delicious looking chocolate cake. He's not alone even, Stacy, Zuriel's friend, with Analia, Roohi, and Nancy are also there.
How did they know that the chocolate flavour in cakes is my evergreen favorite?
Oh, Analia must have told them about it.
I keep looking at them with my mouth opened
The pain I was in doesn't become less with it, but it at least makes me feel a little better.
I smiled and hugged Analia. It was so good to see her here after that Ivaan's incident. I thought she might be broken, but she is Analia, my Analia, the strongest girl I've ever met.
"Happy birthday, Bri," she said as she ran her hand over my shoulder to comfort me.
She knows that I was crying earlier; that's why she soothed me.
She has done that since we were in high school. Whenever my classmates bully me, she always comes to my rescue, and she also used to comfort me.
She knows me more than me.
"Happy Birthday, beautiful," Stacy hugged me next, followed by Roohi and Nancy.
Where are all the hugs for girls? Where is mine? Samuel pouted at me, and I laughed, painfully slapping his arm and clutching him tightly.
He caressed my hair, "Happiest Birthday,"
"Okay, come now, let's cut the cake," Roohi said to us.
"But, who planned this?" I asked, looking at them.
"Who do you think can do it? Of course, your husband," she exclaimed.
"What," my mouth frozen in place, Zuriel, am I dreaming or is this real?
But, didn't he leave me soon? I mean, Carly, his first love is back, and finally he needs me. He doesn't need me anymore.
"Where is he?" I whispered, looking at the birthday cake. My heart was feeling so heavy. I just wanted to see him once.
Even though our relationship was weird, I'm not sure what we were actually like. He never said that he loved me. Then why do I feel like someone is piercing a sharp knife into my body slowly and painfully whenever I see him with Carly?
Is he here with me? Is he with Carly? What will they be doing now? Will he ever think about me?
Does it mean that he will divorce me? He will leave me forever for that home. CARLY
I HATE YOU, Carly.
I was about to turn and go away from here but stopped immediately when my black eyes met the pair of brown eyes. Zuriel is here!
He was not in his usual expensive tuxedo but in blue denim jeans with a white shirt and a black leather jacket over it. Sometimes I felt so jealous of him; he looked like a teenager hunk in these clothes.
"I apologise for being late," he said as he looked at me.
My lips were trembling, but I couldn't be able to say a thing. I didn't even understand what was happening to me.
He was with Carly at the restaurant. What was he doing here for me?
"Happy Birthday," he said, looking me in the eyes.
"T... Thank you," I swallowed seeing him. I still can't get over that he is here for me.
He tucked a loose strand of my hair behind my ear, making me close my eyes. Just his light touch was enough to make my heart melt.
"Come on, what is a party without music and dance?" Roohi chirped and looked at Samuel. He smirked at her.
"I've already made all the arrangements," Samuel said to her.
"Start," Samuel gestured, something behind me.
And suddenly, soft background music played from the back, making my skin feel relaxed. Music has the power to heal our emotional and mental wounds.
But, in my case, it's Zuriel who healed my bleeding heart.
I liked looking at my husband. Finally, he's here for me, for us.
All I ever wanted was to love him and for him to love me back.
This was one of my best birthdays ever. I've never been happy before in my whole life for anything, but Zuriel
When I got married to him, I thought he might hurt me, but damm.
I feel in love with him. The more time I spend with him, the more beautiful it becomes.
After enjoying so much and dancing, finally bidding goodbye to my friends, we came back to our mansion.
I glanced at Zuriel. There was a small smile kept on his lips, making my heart flutter.
As I came into my room, I sat on my bed, a wide grin spread across my cheeks.
The door of my room got opened, and I looked at Zuriel.
"Yes," I asked him, what he wanted.
Actually, I'm so sorry, I've forgotten to bring your birthday gift. Here it is." He put a floral paper bag in front of me.
My insides were dancing like sunshine as I quickly looked at him; it was the first time my husband had brought me soothing.
I quickly took that bag and opened it. A wide grin spread across my face when I saw what was inside.
Oh my God!
