Family Time

" Hey! What are you doing, Standing there!" Mum asked, coming towards me. I am standing in between the living room and kitchen. Dad turned around hearing mum.

I sniffed and blinked my tears to not worry her and replaced the tears with a big smile.

" I was just thinking that I am going to miss you guys so much." Mum hurried towards me and hugged me. I am ready to burst into tears, but dad, Elijah, and Eliot we're looking at us and I don't want to dampen their mood when I am leaving tomorrow early in the morning.

" Why don't we put on a movie or something and spend some family time together?" I suggested and held my breath for their reactions. What if they are too busy to spend some time with me? Before everything is normal and fine. Who knows if we get a chance or time to spend time together like this?

" I like the sound of it," Eliot called out from the living and Elijah shrugged his shoulders.

" Okay, then! Go and sit with your brothers. Your dad and I will get some snacks for us all." Mum ushered me into the living room and I joined Elijah and Eliot.

" What do you want to watch?" Eliot asked, changing channels.

" Umm, I don't know. I'll watch whatever you play." I shrugged, getting comfortable on the couch. I just want to spend time with them and my priority is that only thing.

" What happened to you? Why did you just leave the mall yesterday?" I asked Elijah who is sulking like a little kid. I saw what Elijah did yesterday, I saw him dragging Emily into a store, and from the way he is sulking, I think something happened between them.

I know about Emily's secret crush on Elijah and how he is so oblivious to it. I am damn sure that he dragged her yesterday to blackmail her or threaten her to not take me with her.

" What! Nothing happened! I had some work so I just left." He is being defensive and from the way he is defending himself, I know something happens. I will ask Emily tomorrow but she was also distracted yesterday and didn't even come here to help me with the packing as she promised to help.

" Woah! Okay, you don't have to get so defensive." I scoffed at him and turned towards the kitchen hearing footsteps. Mum and dad were carrying big bowls of popcorn and sodas. Elijah and I got up from the couch and went toward them to take the bowls from their hands.

Eliot picked up a comic movie and paused it until we all settled on our places.

" I was waiting all along to have this moment with you all. We are not doing movie nights these days." Dad complained stuffing his face with popcorn.

" Yeah, everyone was either tired or busy." Mum chimed in. Movie nights were our things, we binge-watched all the movies together from our childhood to the recent days but these we just were busy or doing our things.

" I missed those nights but these grown-up kids were always out till late in the night." I pulled a face at my brother who was playfully glaring at me because of my comment.

" You were also busy with your garden and stuff. We are not the only ones to be blamed." Eliot has a smug smile on his face seeing me out of words. I am always easy to pull leg.

" Okay, kids! Don't argue like children and Eliot start the movie." Mum interrupted our glaring contest.

The movie started and our attention turned toward the tv. We were not even halfway through the story but we were all laughing out loud as the movie is so funny and interesting. I am holding my stomach as it is painting due to the excess laughing.

I turned my head toward my family and they all are laughing without a care and without the knowledge of what I am going to do. My life is going to change once I step out of our coven and I dont know if it is going to be a good change or a worst change.

We laughed, talked, played, and ate together all night. We lived all our memories in a night and I am going to keep these memories with me whenever I need strength and confidence.

I said goodbye to mum and dad and Elijah and Eliot before retiring to my room. Mom gave me the potions which will help me with my sleep and other potions which will be helpful.

I put them in my bag and kept all the bags to the side of the room before changing into my nightwear and slipping into the bed. I am so tired and sleepy because of all the fun I had with my family. We played board games and I fought with my brothers. I am going to miss all these things when I will be alone in an unknown and new place.

Emily is going to be with me there but still, I will miss my parents and brothers. With all the thoughts moving around in my head, sleep took over my senses.

Mum woke me up in the early hours of the morning. I am an early bird but all the staying up late at night made me snooze off my alarm which was buzzing for some time.

" Aiza! Get up! Emily is already sitting down in the living room." I sat up in bed and stretched to my heart's content. It's a new day and I want to start it with positivity.

" Okay, mum! I will be down in ten minutes." I called out to her before entering the bathroom with the outfit which already picked last night.

It took me exactly twenty minutes to go down, I took a bag and my handbag and went down. I can hear voices in the living room and kitchen, I smell pancakes and eggs which made my stomach growl.

" I am so hungry right now that I will eat the entire village." Their heads turned towards me and they all laughed out loud at me.

Mum, Dad, Eliot, Elijah, and Emily sitting at the dining table. Elijah and Emily were sitting awkwardly in each other's presence.

Everyone resumed their breakfast once I joined them. I am happy that I got some more time with them. I can happily leave now.

I said goodbye to mum and dad who were in tears, seeing them crying made me cry my eyes out. Elijah and Eliot gave me hugs and presents. I hugged all of them one last time before entering the car which we rented.

I watched the houses and the neighborhood pass by in which I have growned up. I am going to miss our peaceful coven and it's people.
