My Mate

I was currently in her majesty's chambers getting her ready for the day. Emily is doing the final touches to her dress and I have already completed her makeup. I am just standing to the side looking at everyone trying to make everything perfect.

I am so bored of my mind just standing there not doing anything and I can't even exit the chamber before her highness dismisses us.

My thoughts were interrupted by Damien's funny face due to my little magic trick. I snickered trying not to burst out laughing but it was of no use as I can't stop myself from doing it.

Emily turned her face towards me with a glare warning me to shut up. I instantly sobered up not wanting to gain anyone's attention. I gave her my puppy eyes and pleaded with her with those eyes to get us out of here.

" Your Highness! Everything is done! Can I bring the mirror here, so you can check the dress?" Emily asked politely, bowing her head down. She just nodded her head. Emily and the other maid hurried towards the mirror and brought it in front of her highness. She stood up from the table she was sitting at and stood in front of the mirror so gracefully.

She holds herself as a true queen and I can see her aura and confidence shining in her eyes and the way she projects herself in front of everyone. Everything is perfect except the evilness I see in her eyes.

" Hmm, you guys did a good job!" She praised no one in particular and I guess we all have to take that for everyone. She dismissed us by just gesturing with her hands, Emily and I practically ran away from the chambers feeling elated that at last we are freed from the prison where we can't even breathe properly.

" That was so intense! I never want to be in those chambers again!" Emily grumbled out, making me laugh at her. We both hurried toward our room to get ourselves cleaned before going to the library. I don't want to participate in the ceremony as it is only held between officials and rich people and we are not part of it.

" I went with Damien to the library when you were in the kitchen," I informed her and to which she looked at me with a raised brow.

" uh-huh?" She is hiding her smirk but I can clearly see that something is running in her head.

" What is that smirk for?" I glared at her, if she is having funny thoughts about me and Damien then she is going to get punches from me.

" What? Me, smirking? Nonsense!" She scoffed like it was an absurd thing.

" I know that you are having funny thoughts about me and Damien but sorry to burst your bubble, I just went to his office so he can show me the library and we can visit it after our work is done. I wanted to find it soon." She still has that stupid smirk on her face which is annoying me to the core.

" I didn't say anything, you are the one who is blabbering like an idiot." I stomped my feet in annoyance and went into the bathroom to clean myself. I don't want to see her annoying smirk anymore.

" Aiza! Come fast, we need to go to the library soon, or else the guards won't allow anyone out in the hallways once the ceremony starts." Emily yelled from outside, making me wash my face in a hurry. I quickly changed into comfy clothes and went outside the bathroom to see her sitting on her bed reading a book.

" Let's go! I am so eager to know everything and solve the mystery." I jumped up and down like a little kid who is going to get candy for the first time.

" Woah! Calm down! Let's go before someone stops us." She held my hand and pulled me out of the room. We checked both ways to see if any guards were lingering but to our relief, there was no one.

" Emily! Why don't we teleport to the library?" I whispered not wanting to gain anyone's attention.

" You saw the library, Aiza! But I didn't!" I rolled my eyes at her stupid brain.

" Seriously? Did you forget that I can teleport you there? Just close your eyes, hold my hand and chant the word library and we will be there." I flicked her forehead to which she groaned.

" Ugh, sorry! I just forgot that we have that option too." We both closed our eyes and I held her hand tightly in me before imagining the smell of those old books and the air which was flowing in the library. I can feel the change in the air and I know that we are already in the library.

I slowly opened my eyes and patted Emily's shoulder to get her to open her eyes. I heard her gasp and her eyes wide with awe and shock looking at the enormous library probably she hadn't even seen.

" It's beautiful, right?" I whispered in her ear, making her jump in fright.

" It's just not beautiful, it's marvelous! I can't have words to define it." She started running inside toward the shelves. I laughed at her and went towards the register where Damien has shown and there is a big book sitting on the table. The library feels old but there is not even a speck of dust coating anywhere.

Maybe someone is looking after it.

I opened the book and found so many things written in it but there is a list which indicates where is where and I followed with my finger to the word "Mates", I first want to know about mates and I need to tell him that he already has a mate and he should stop cheating on me.

I was flipping through the pages, and suddenly my body started to change its rhythm. It's a familiar buzz consuming my body and head and I know I am going to get a vision soon. My body stilled and my eyes rolled upwards and I lost control of my surroundings. Soon I felt myself standing at the familiar lake but I was not near the lake but standing on the other side of the lake.

I turned my head around myself trying to see something but there was no one and nothing. When I was looking to my right, I heard a giggle and my head shot towards the sound to see a vaguely familiar couple standing on the other side of the lake in each other's arms.

Seeing them made my heart clench in pain and rage started consuming my body. I can feel Lora's anger increasing as long as we are looking at the couple who stood there looking at each other.

An animalistic growl erupted from somewhere silencing everything around me. I thought that someone was near us but another growl erupted and now it is so powerful that my throat hurts. The recognition knocked on my head that I was the one who was growling.

The couple got separated from my growls and my focus is only on those familiar but not-so-familiar blue eyes looking at me intensely.

I growled again warning him to stay away from the female who is trying to claw my mate. Yes, I know that he is my mate from the bond I and Lora feel.

Suddenly I am standing in front of him and no one is there around us, not even the female. His back is facing me and I take a step toward him, I am hit with the familiar scent of the forest, and my body stilled not moving an inch. His body turned towards me and I could see his face so clear, my eyes got wide in fear and shock seeing the male in front of me. I can't believe that this is happening.

How is it possible? Why?

The only word which came out of my mouth in a whisper is " His Highness."
