Fading Away

I followed Veronica into Quentin's chambers! What the hell! Is she going to confront me in front of Quentin? Will he push the entire blame on me?

" Close the door after you enter." She ordered, moved towards the chair and sat on it.

" Is there something you need from me, your highness?" I asked, waiting for her to throw the insults and blame on me but she started crying!

" Your highness! What happened? Highness!" I ran towards her and sat on my hunches with a respectable distance between us.

" I Am going to look ugly and I don't know what to do!" She burst out into a new set of tears confusing me more with her words.

" I don't understand, Your highness! Why is that going to happen?" I slowly asked not wanting to offend her.

" I am with the baby and I'm going to gain weight and will look ugly." Her words stunned me into silence and my legs gave out collapsing my body on the ground.

" W..What?" I whispered, still not believing the words she just uttered.

What did I expect! Of Course this is going to happen!

" I need you to make me some potion which will never make me gain weight and I should always look pretty." Veronica is rambling about what she needs and what I need to do but I can't focus on anything other than the anger and hurt spreading through me and I can feel Lora being restless and hurt more than me.

" Don't lose control, Lora! Please! I don't want to hurt anyone." I whispered, tears filled my eyes and my heart feels like it's been on fire and my body got stuck on the ground and I can't even be able to lift a finger.

" I will prepare everything you need, Your highness. I will take my leave now." I moved my persistent body from the ground and bowed to her before running away from her and his chambers.

I can't stay in her presence and not stop Lora from hurting Veronica and her unborn baby. I am not that cruel.

"Aiza!" Quentin's deep voice sounded behind me making my steps halt in the hallway like he has some command on my body but my head and heart are at war wanting different things.

" I think you should go and check on your Mate, Your Highness." I didn't turn around as I could already feel the bond pulsing around us.

" Are you alright!" I scoffed at his worry towards me. Him being near to me and the news I got from Veronica is making Lora seethe inside and I'm holding her back so we don't harm anyone, even him.

" I said leave!" Lora's deep voice resonated in the corridor and I can feel the change around me as it's impossible to hold her back now as every single thread of patience has broken and she is hurting so much that I can feel it physically.

I didn't wait for him to talk anymore and started walking towards the garden where I first had the outburst and no one would come and find me there.

I am a danger to everyone around me and I really don't want to hurt anyone.

" Aiza! Wait! What happened!" Why is he so persistent and stubborn!

The shift in the air and the way all the birds are flying away sensing the danger is the indication that Lora is going to destroy everything around her again.

" Lora! Calm down! Please!" I started pleading with her but she has gone so far that I can't reach and I will lose my senses too as she will occupy every sense of mine.

" How dare he choose her over us! He has done it again! He betrayed us again. I Am going to destroy everything." Are the words I heard before I lost every sense and control of my body.

Third POV:

Lora’s body started flowing through the corridors. Her Aim is to reach the garden because she knows her anger and how it can destroy everything around her.

Even the pain is consuming her at her Mate’s betrayal but she still is thinking about the innocent ones who will suffer in her hands.

Quentin’s foot steps still follow her but he is not saying anything.

His presence is making her anger increase more and more.

Lora landed in the garden which is now looking the same as before her previous destruction. She may not have a body but she has a soul and she can feel anything and everything.

“ What are you doing here, Aiza!” Quentin literally growled, with the deep tone of his voice sending shivers down her body. He is still affecting them even after his betrayal.

How can he not recognise his true mate!

How can he mate with someone else! And get her pregnant.

“ Leave!” Lora growled out loud making the ground beneath them to shake and the air around them started picking its pace more.

“ What is going on Aiza! I won't leave.” He growled back, making Lora turn around and look at him.

“ Why! Isn't it enough that you have already hurt us! You want to hurt us more?” Her silver eyes shining with hatred and pain.

Quentin's eyebrows furrowed in confusion at her words. What is she talking about! Who is she referring to as us?

“ I will never forgive you! You should have realized who we are, but you never did.” Lora’s anger was replaced by sadness and hurt. She desperately wants her mate to recognise her and accept her.

“ What are you talking about?” Quentin asked, still not knowing what was happening. He has only seen her like this when they got attacked and Aiza saved them.

“ You lost the right to ask any questions. We are rejecting you as our Mate.” Lora’s words stunned Quentin, he got stuck on what to say and how to react.

“ What!” He scoffed, not believing what she is saying because it's absurd that she is thinking that he is her mate.

Nothing is making any sense.

Sure he is attracted to her but it doesn't mean they are mates.

“ Just because I touched you doesn't mean we are mates, Aiza! I already have a mate.” His words were laced with anger.

Lora whimpered at his cruel words and her anger started spreading through her body like a volcano.

“ You are going to regret every single thing you have said.” She gritted out the words and slowly she started fading away in front of his eyes.

He stood there stunned and not knowing what to do but stared at the way Lora faded away.

A dull ache spread through him in her absence and an emptiness consumed him.
