Checking out the big old library

He left, throwing a last glare at me. I took a large gulp of air that I was holding in his presence. His presence always overwhelms me and makes me all jelly and a nervous mess. He emits that dangerous and powerful aura that is too much to handle.

" That was so close!" Damien exhaled deeply, his brows dipped in worry.

" Yeah!" I don't know what else to answer. We were so close to getting caught by the king.

" As I said, it's not possible to take you to the library, Aiza! It's too dangerous for you if someone sees you there." His features softened while I am filled with disappointment and sadness.

" I know but still, I want to take that risk. I need answers, Damien! If I won't get them then I am going to get insane. Please, just show me then I will take care of everything." I pleaded with him, I can't just live like this not knowing who my mate is and what is happening with me.

" I don't want you in any danger, Aiza!" I can understand his concern but I just can't leave the only chance of getting to know everything.

" I will be alright, so please take me to the library, Damien!" I pleaded one last time, if he still doesn't want to show me then I can search alone. I need to find the library no matter what.

" Fine, don't tell me that I didn't warn you." He warned before turning around. A small squeal left my mouth at the victory that at last, he was taking me.

" don't worry, I know how to hide from everyone," I said, stepping beside him.

" Yeah, Yeah, let's move fast before someone catches us." We both took hurried steps, I followed beside him and we are taking so many turns which are making my head spin.

Finally, we took some stairs and he turned left. The place feels deserted and there is no one around other than silence and our footsteps echoed around.

" Does no one come here? I mean no one uses the library?" I whispered, not wanting to gain anyone's attention.

" Why are you whispering?" Damien chuckled looking at me amused.

" I don't want anyone to hear us, as the voice can echo through the walls as if it is empty," I whispered again, Damien burst out laughing at me, making my eyes narrow at him.

" Nothing is funny!" I grumbled out walking further from him.

" No one comes here anymore so we are fine, Aiza! And I am sorry for laughing at you. It's just you looked cute whispering like that." He suddenly said, making my heart flutter and butterflies swarm in my stomach. Ugh, don't take his compliment in another way. Just think of him as a friend and it will be okay. I never had a male friend so I don't know how to feel when the opposite gender compliments me.

" Umm, Okay!" I hid my heated face from him to not embarrass myself any further than I did today.

" Umm, about the thing you saw in my office!" He started making my face heat up with embarrassment and shame. Why is he talking about that? We agreed to forget about it and I have become normal again.

" Yeah?" I question, not understanding what he wants to tell.

" I don't do those things daily, it's just sometimes I feel frustrated so I have to…." I cut him off not wanting to hear any further.

" It's okay, no need to explain it to me. I can understand." I said, without looking at him. He stopped in front of a large set of doors, I have never seen this big of doors ever and there are things and creatures carved on it making it look regal and scary.

I touched the door and so many images started swirling in my head but they are all hazy and I can't concentrate on one thing. I removed my hand from the door and stood back, waiting for Damien to unlock the door.

" They don't lock it as no one is interested in stealing old books." We both chuckle at that and entered the large library in the entire world I guess as I have never seen a library other than the one we have in our coven.

" Wow! It's so beautiful!" I wondered loudly roaming my eyes around trying to capture everything all at once.

" Yeah, it's beautiful!" I felt his eyes on me and I turned around to see he is looking at me making me blush. I hid my face behind my hair which I had not tied.

I cleared my throat walked inside the library and looked around to see where I can start. Damien stood beside me looking around with me.

" There are labels on the shelves so you can easily look where the books are and also they have a register which has the shelves and rows in it with names. It will make your work easy." I took a relieved breath hearing his words. I seriously going to faint if I had to search every shelve and row because it is damn so big. Shelves upon shelves with large ladders attached to them.

" Thanks for the information, it will really help me and makes my work easier."

" You can find the register on the table." He pointed towards the right and I turned my head towards where he pointed and clicked it in my head to remember when I will come back.

" Okay, thank you so much, Damien!" I thanked him with gratefulness. He really is risking for me and I can't forget his help ever.

" It's okay, don't thank me! I am just showing the library." He smiled at me, he looks so lively when he smiles. I like the way his eyes corners crinkle when he smiles big and the way his teeth will be all on display. I like the smiling Damien more than the brooding one.

" What?" He has a smirk on his lips making me blush once again him. I am just blushing and embarrassing myself in his presence. I need to stop whatever is going on.

" What, what?" I asked, hiding the smile which is threatening to break out.

" You are checking me out, Aiza!" I scoffed at him hiding the smile by turning around and pretending to look around.

" No, I am not!" I turned towards the door to bolt from there. I don't want him to pull my leg even more.

" Wait! Where are you running to?" He called out behind me while I am running through the hallway like a child giggling.

" I have to be in Her highness's chambers to get her ready for the ceremony," I yelled out to him not stopping or turning around. I can hear his footsteps behind me and he is so close to me.

I suddenly stopped in my steps and turned around with a smirk planning on how to leave him speechless.

" You want to see a magic trick?" I asked, looking at him and waiting for his reply. He just nodded at me standing a few feet away from me.

" Okay, catch me if you can!" These are the last words I said to him before closing my eyes and teleporting to my room. Once in the room, I started laughing like a hyena remembering Damien's shocked face. He sure looked funny standing there clueless and he may be searching for me there. I feel somewhat guilty but he deserves that for pulling my leg and making me blush.
