The Devil King Is My Mate

" Aiza!"

"Aiza!" I hear someone calling my name but my body is not cooperating with me to come out from whatever state it is in. I tried so hard to move my body or open my eyes but it feels like a weight is on me and I can't move anything.

" Aiza! Wake up!" Now I can hear Emily's voice clearly and tried to open my eyes once again but failed. I can feel frustrated tears flowing down my face.

" Lora?" I whispered to her but she didn't respond at first and I tried again desperately wanting her to answer me and get me out of this state.

" Yes!" I can hear her faint voice whispering back.

" Can you please help me with my situation? I want to wake up but I am unable to." I told her and waited for her answer.

" Concentrate Aiza! Concentration and a peaceful mind only are the things that will wake your mind and body." She answered, her voice sounding so faint.

I tried to concentrate on moving my body and removing all the thoughts from my head just the thought of me waking up. Slowly I can feel the weight lifting from my body and my eyes started to flutter. I opened my eyes to the blinding light poking my eyes and instantly I closed my eyes but when I felt Emily move her body, I opened my eyes to her shielding me from the light.

" Are you alright, Aiza?" She asked hurriedly, concern clearing written on her face. I am being a mess for Emily who is just bearing me. I feel so guilty that she has to be worried every time.

" Y…Yeah!" I croaked out, lifting my body into a sitting position.

" What happened? Did you get a vision or was your body suffering from the pain?" She asked, wiping the sweat from my head. Hearing her mention the word vision made the fog in my head clear and a gasp left my mouth making my eyes wide. I sure was not dreaming and I was in a vision and my visions never show deception and I know what I saw was true.

" I...I think I saw my mate!" Emily's brows dipped in confusion hearing my words.

" what? You saw your mate in your vision?" She asked, somewhat unsure if what she is hearing is true and if I am not just blabbering.

" Yeah, I saw him and you won't believe whom I saw." I gulped hard with nerves and anxiety about how to tell her whom I saw and what if it is my head playing with me! What if she doesn't believe me?

" Don't tell me, Damien is your mate!" She scoffed but has a smile playing on her lips. I know she will be happy if Damien and I are mates because she knows him better and she has a positive opinion of him.

" No, he is not!" I rolled my eyes at her before pulling my body upwards to stand. My legs feel cramped and I need them to be free. I walked towards the shelve which I have read in the register and it was about mates.

" Then, who is it? Tell me fast." She ran towards me stopping me in my tracks. A chuckle left me despite being in shock about the mate thing. I can't do anything but let my mate take someone else as his mate.

" It's your king!" The words hurried out of my mouth before I stop them and I can't hear Emily behind me, I turned my head behind to see her standing there like a statue with wide eyes and shock written all over her face.

A nervous laugh escaped me at her reaction, I know it is shocking news but seeing her like this is making me nervous and afraid about the situation and the truth.

" What the f…." I didn't let her finish before placing my palm on her mouth stopping her from cursing.

" I know it's shocking but it is the truth, I saw his face, the blue eyes, and the man I was seeing in my visions from the age of six. It is him, Emily!" I bowed my head, not knowing what to do and thinking about the situation I am in. Why is everything so complicated in my life, why has it to be him?

Now I understand why I was so attracted to him and why I felt tingles when he touched me and why his presence and scent overwhelmed me in a good way and aroused me. He is my mate that's why he was affecting me and his words pierced my heart when he insulted us. Lora was the one who got hurt the most as she knows him from the beginning.

" I understand but how are you so sure that he is your mate?" She asked.

" I felt all the things with him a mate feels and when I was in the vision and saw his face Lora was whispering Mate to me and I saw in his eyes what I am to him but I don't know if he can know that he was being in my visions or just the magic showing me him," I answered her and myself, coming to a clarity that this is my new truth that The devil king is my mate.

" He already has a mate, Aiza! Then how is it possible that he is mated to you? I am so confused right now." I can understand her confusion but I don't know how that is possible and now I can understand the pain of cheating with Veronica. My blood boils at the thought of them doing things and making me suffer.

"I don't know how is that possible, Emily! But I just know that he is my mate and I am finally relaxed to solve a mystery which was eating me away." I answered her truthfully. Yeah, I am devasted at the revelation that my mate is going to accept someone as his mate and queen, and from today I am going to be mateless but at the same time, I am relieved that finally I know who he is.

" We need to stop the ceremony, Aiza! We can't let that happen!" Emily started freaking out and turned towards the door but I quickly held her behind. I don't want to stop anything because if destiny wants us to be together then it will play its role and if not then so be it I am not going to fight for him after knowing his thoughts about me.

If I go now and stop that then he will surely give orders to his guards to hang me without listening to anything and I don't want that.

" No, we are not going to do that, Emily! He doesn't have any positive thoughts about me and I don't want us to get in trouble. Let's see how the bond and destiny work." I saw her calming down and the thought of stopping the ceremony flying away.

" Okay, if you say so!" She moved towards me and wrapped me in her arms making me relax into her warm hug and making me forget everything for a minute. I needed that and I need to just concentrate on the fact of my origin and from where I needed to start looking.

We were still in each other arms and I am basking in her love and care but we heard a deafening noise like a somewhat alarm. Our bodies jumped in fear and we both looked at each other with wide eyes.

" What is that?" I asked her because she is here for a long time and she knows what that noise is from the fear in her eyes.

" I…I..think we are attacked!" She whispered holding my hand in a death grip and pulling me towards the door.

" What? What do you mean that we are attacked?" I asked getting dragged by the very anxious Emily.

" The alarm is the signal that we are getting attacked by the enemies and we need to hide somewhere safe." She blabbered out still dragging me with her.

" Then why are we going towards the door? We need to hide in the library itself and I am sure that no one will come looking in here." I stopped in my tracks halting her too.

" Umm, I don't know what to do Aiza! I have never been in this situation and I don't want anything to happen to you!" I can understand her worrying about me but her safety is also our priority.

" So am I, Emily! Let's hide in here and I am sure we will be safe." I pulled her towards me the shelves and I looked around to see a huge ladder placed on the side which is attached to a shelf and I am sure we can have plenty of space in between these racks.

" See we can hide there." I pointed toward the ladder and I started moving toward it her following me.

" Just hold on to it right okay?" She nodded her head at me and I prepared myself to get on the ladder and go up first.

I was halfway when I turned around to see Emily still standing down looking at me worried. I gave her a big smile and mouthed her to get on the ladder. She gulped hard before placing her hands and legs and started climbing it.

In no time we are sitting in the space between the racks. We both took a relieved sigh and got comfortable.

" I hope no one comes looking here," Emily said worried that someone will come and find us but I am sure that no one will come into an old library and I hope iam right about thinking that.

" Don't worry we will be safe." I placed my hand on her smiling at her. We just need to wait for something to let us know that we are safe and good to go outside until then we have to hide between these old books.
