Way to his chambers

"Aiza! What are you still doing in the bathroom?" Emily yelled out from the outside making me break my thoughts which were eating away. My thoughts were all running around the kiss and the way we fit each other. I need to stop whatever is swirling in my head, I don't want to get insulted again just because he kissed me back.

How could I just kiss him first? I gave up my first kiss on him. What was I thinking, no I was not thinking anything at that time and just feeling his warmth and the bond?

" Yeah! Give me a minute, I will be out!" I answered and switched off the shower. Taking the towel from the hanger I dried off myself and wore the sweatshirt and the leggings which felt so comfortable. We are getting ready to go to the dining hall to have dinner.

Emily and I spend time sitting on the same ground where we are crying and talking for hours about how the devil king took me in his arms and how I did a stupid mistake by kissing him first.

She laughed her ass off after listening to what had happened and also scolded me for being so reckless and stupid. We talked about everything and nothing. I am grateful that I have her with me and she knows how to forgive my stupid mistakes.

I opened the door and entered the room, Emily is laying on her bed just humming to herself. I combed my hair and put it in a bun. I need to feel relaxed as I am feeling drained, I don't know how much more I can stand being this active. Whatever happened during the attack has drained all of my energy and I am just pretending that I am okay because I don't want to worry Emily anymore.

" Can we go, please? I am starving!" She practically ran towards the door and yanked it open and stopped in her tracks.

"What happened? Did you see any ghosts?" I laughed at her before looking past her to see Damien standing there.

" Hi! What's up?" I greeted him and Emily just stood there awkwardly not talking with him like she usually does. Something is wrong between them. I pushed the thought aside and pushed her out of the door.

" Hi, Aiza! I came here to call you guys for dinner!" He answered looking directly at me and not making any eye contact with Emily.

" Aww! Thanks for thinking about us. We are so honored!" He chuckled at my joke before guiding us toward the dining hall. We were silent for a full minute before Damien started talking.

" What you did out there was just awesome! I have never seen anyone that fearless and badass, just fighting off the enemies." He saw me fighting off those sleazy enemies! I don't know how to answer that question.

" Umm, Yeah!" I smiled awkwardly at him.

" You were so invested in attacking them that you didn't see some of them trying to attack you from behind." He informs me, making my eyes wide in shock. I surely didn't have any memory of anything which was happening but just my targets. It was too dangerous for me but still, I am content that I saved some innocent people.

" You should have hurt very badly, Aiza! Don't do things like these again!" Emily scolded glaring at me and I just smiled at her sheepishly muttering sorry.

"If it is not for Quentin then they would have successfully attacked you." Hearing him made me stop in my tracks. He saved me from those monsters? But why! As much as I know him, he hates me and doesn't even trust a single hair of my head. How can he be so great and someone whom he detests? I seriously can't understand his moods.

" Oh!" I don't have anything to say to his words as I don't know how to react to his good side as I have only seen his bad side.

" Yeah, and if I am you then I will thank him." He has this annoying smirk on his face which is irritating me to the core.

" I know that and I will go right away and thank him." I rolled my eyes at him and turned towards the courtroom but I heard a loud laugh from behind and I know who is laughing like a hyena.

" He is not in the courtroom, Aiza! He is in his chambers." I groaned at my luck and I can't back away now, if I do that then he will laugh at me again.

" Okay, I'll go to His highness's chambers." I gave him a sickly sweet smile before looking at Emily and silently telling her to kill him off. She laughed at my glare and showed me her thumbs to encourage me.

I rolled my eyes at both of them and stomped my way towards the chambers and I hope Her highness is not with him because I can't handle any more drama today. In no time I was standing in front of the familiar door, my head was screaming at me to turn back and run and my heart was urging me to open the door and enter the chambers.

I raised my hand to knock but my hand stopped midway when the doors opened abruptly making me gasp at the person who opened them.

" What are you doing here?" His deep voice vibrated throughout my body making me clench my thighs to stop the growing ache between them. I can't let him sniff my arousal and get insulted again.

He looks so delicious standing there in his casual clothes which are a t-shirt and sweatpants which are hanging low on his hips and his hair is disheveled giving the impression that he is threading his fingers through them again and again.

" Umm, I…I…" no words are coming out of my mouth seeing him in front of me. I even forgot why I came here in the first place.

" If you want to stand there and look stupid then be my guest but if not then enter!" He ordered in his deep sexy voice making my body shudder in delight. He turned around and entered the chambers and I followed him.

The room is dimly lit and smells of him, dark bed and bedsheets, curtains, interior everything is black like his heart. So it means his mate and he doesn't share the chamber yet. I scoffed at it as they are already sharing everything.

" Is there any problem?" He asked, looking at me amusedly. I just came here to thank him and I'll do that and just dash out.

" Umm, I heard from Damien that you saved me from those monsters when they were trying to attack me from behind," I muttered not looking at him but looking around his chambers.

" Yeah, so?" He talks so carelessly like I don't matter. His indifference is killing me. I may try to be indifferent toward him and the bond but I can't help but crave for him.

" I. I came here to thank you. Thank you for saving my life, Your Highness!" I bowed my head trying to control my tears from falling. As I turned my body, I was pushed towards the wall with a force but my body didn't take any hit as his arms wrapped around me.

His body is pressed into mine not leaving any gap between us and I feel myself getting turned on and the angry tears started streaming down my face. I hate being in this situation with him where I become so vulnerable.

" Why?" The word came out of my mouth before I could stop it. I want to know why he is hurting me and did he even feel that I am his mate from the tingles I am feeling throughout my body and the bond I feel towards him.

" What, Why? I should ask you why! Why are you playing with my head? What sorcery are you doing to me!" He gritted out the words banging his hand beside the wall making me jump in fear. For a second his eyes became soft but as fast as the emotion appeared, it disappeared that fast too.

" I am not doing anything to you! You are getting everything wrong! I don't even want to explain anything to you, just move and I'll be out of here." I tried to push him but he didn't even budge an inch. He is so much stronger than me in everything.

" No! You are using your magic on me that's why I am so attracted to you and even now I want to fuck you against this wall when I know my mate is kidnapped and I need to find her. What are you doing to me?" My mouth opened wide with shock at his words. My body started reacting to his words and the fact that Veronica was kidnapped! But everything seems normal.

" How are you so sure that she is your mate?" I may get punished for this and even get myself hanged but I need to ask him how he is so sure that she is his mate. He even knows what a mate is and how the bond works. He stood there looking at me like I have grown a second head and talking gibberish and also he is angry at me for questioning his mate. I can see the fire burning in his eyes ready to burn me.
