+CHAPTER 18+ The Rightful King of Beasts
Nothing is impossible for a being like him who was born with an insatiable appetite for destruction.
An Eternal Ruler~
An Alpha who was lonely, very lonely.
A king who was lonelier than he lets on. Maybe lonelier than he even realized.
He didn't know why he came back to this forsaken place. The forest where darkness resides.
He was so tired, so fucking tired of his own failures. So tired of the bonds that break. So tired of the loved one's ache.
So tired of his own heart that bleeds for her.
Centuries have passed and he still can't find his mate. She was the only person who can kneel a being like him. She was the only one who made him walk alone. She was the only one who can make the eternal king bow his head down. She can make him beg for the shadow of her love.
His Lost Queen~
He was the cursed one who found love and yet lost it. He was the one who had forsaken his crown for just a chance to walk in the shadow of love.
Known as 'The Restless And Unsettled'.
The Rightful King Of All Beasts, Aric King~
Some nights he was filled with so much agony that he would howl at the moon to show him the right path but only silence will greet his efforts.
Now staring at the cottage of the Oracle he realized one thing and that was the fact that how desperate he had become to come back at the door of the bat-shit crazy woman who had last time stabbed him when he had asked for her help.
"You know how many times I have wished that you would have come to me at the right time." Aric looked around for the source of the voice but found no one.
"How many times that child's face had haunted me. .? How many times I have visions of her powers and the things that she could have done with those power, the fates she could have changed?" The Alpha of all beasts turned towards the voice and found the crazy woman who was standing in the shadow of an old oak tree.
As usual, she was making no sense.
"You have no idea what I'm talking about, do you?" When Aric regarded her with his cold eyes the Oracle gave a hollow laugh.
"He knows nothing, Nothing." She whispered looking at her left as if someone was standing there with her but Aric saw no one there.
"So much hurt, so much resentment, so much love, so much hate, such a mess you are. . ." Oracle gave the invisible person a pitied look and then focused her black gaze back on Aric.
"Tell me witch are you going to stab me again or you are going to help me out this time?" Aric asked already getting tired of Oracle's riddles and madness.
Oracles are known to be the most vicious beings of the supernatural world. Extremely evil and a breath away from the madness.
"I owe you nothing. You deserved that stab and much more." She sneered at him.
"You owe me nothing but you owe her your life witch. Tell me where is my mate not for my sake but for the sake of your only friend." Aric, the lonely Alpha pleaded.
"Beast your search for her isn't worth the pain you are going to gain once you find her." The Oracle warned.
"You know where she is?" Aric asked ignoring her comment, desperation dripping from his tone.
"I have seen the future, I have seen her blood on your hands." Oracle replied before she lost her focus again. She was looking at a distance as if seeing things that weren't even present there.
The Oracle was the definition of madness. One second she was talking to you and in the next second, she totally forgot about your existence.
She resides in the darkest forest where even a being like Aric, one of the oldest lycan felt uncomfortable.
Dark magic seeped out of the ashes of the burned woods, darkness dancing on the muddy paths.
Once the Oracle had told him that she knew deep down in her soul that the most terrifying thing in the darkest forest was her.
Her soul held more darkness than the forest~
Today she was wearing a bright yellow summer dress. From her looks, she looked like a young twenty-five years old girl but Aric knew better. The Oracle was as old as the dirt with a damaged mind and soul.
Looks could be deceiving and in her case, it was a hundred percent true.
There was wisdom in her damaged soul. Wisdom with no match.
"You are crazier than before if you think I can harm my own mate. I don't care what you have seen I just want to find her." Aric challenged, the determination on his face was enough to convince anyone that he was telling the truth.
"I have seen fire, I have seen wars, I have seen life to its fullest and death at its worst. I'm the one who put laughter in manslaughter. I have seen a mother forsaking her own blood wolf, I have seen the birth of abominations, the birth of a Goddess and the death of one. Not for this day when a lowly dog like you will doubt my words." She sneered, her madness on full display.
Taking all the insults the madwoman was throwing his way, Aric stood there silently. He was not going to start a fight that he knew would end up with the Oracle handing him his own ass.
He was the Alpha of all beasts but he was no match for her powers.
Suddenly the Oracle's nose started to bleed. Black blood started oozing out of her nose. Her black soulless eyes were unfocused.
Clutching her head she fell on her knees. A deafening scream came from her mouth. Aric covered his sensitive ears against her screams.
So much for getting any help from this mad creature. Aric knew that it was a bad idea to come to her because in her current position she pretty much needed help for her own self.
Feeling like a failure Aric King turned his back on the Oracle, leaving her on her own.
He might have come here seeking her help but he had no intention of involving himself in her issues. But before he could take a step he was stopped in his tracks by the Oracle's next words.
"Go back to your kingdom, reclaim your throne beast. Your kingdom will lead you back to her. Your kingdom will lead you to 'THEM'. Now it's her turn to chase
you."
