"Standing In His Courtroom A Father Vowed To Kill His Own Daughter"


Loneliness~

Centuries of loneliness had turned Aric's Lycan into a mad beast.

Aric had been away from his kingdom for centuries. He had been silent when he heard that his people who ruled over every specie in the past had fallen from grace.

The lycans had fallen from grace~

And Aric did nothing to stop that~

For centuries he had just listened to everyone around him while blending in the shadows. 

But his eyes, Dear Moon his eyes had seen everything.

From the rise to the fall of his kind. He had been so busy mending his broken heart and mate bond that he lost track of time and his people. Aric didn't know that the mates of the lycans had gone missing. 

He would have come back sooner if he knew that his people were going through the same pain from which he was suffering.

In a lycan's life, his most prized possession was his mate. A mate who ruled over a lycan's heart and soul.

Aric's been roaming with an ache in his heart, ache to find Emmeline. His savage beast had been on a mad rage since Emmeline left him. Never in his wildest dreams, Aric would have thought that his people were going through the same pain, the agony of losing their mates.

'Aric you need to come outside the castle. There's a royal dragon messenger delivering information about the missing lycan mates.' Mathias's voice echoed in Aric's head, pulling Aric out of his thoughts.

Without wasting a second, using his supernatural speed Aric was at the castle door only to find a very familiar majestic golden dragon transforming into his human form.

A large number of lycans were standing there. Looking at the dragon in awe.

Aric would have been awestruck too if it was his first time watching the dragon but sadly Aric had spent a long time with the bastard and Aric knew that he was nothing more but a pain in the ass.

Dragons were extremely territorial creatures. Even more territorial and possessive than a lycan's beast.

One look at the dragon and Aric knew that who he was but before Aric could catch his attention the bastard started addressing the lycans.

"I'm the Royal Dragon Messenger from the court of Queen Amber from the house of 'The Untouchables' also known as the Cold Queen who's as cold as the wastelands that surround her Queendom and as deadly as the poisonous snow that covers the Wastelands. . ." 

Murmurs broke all around the dragon. But soon they were silenced by the dragon's next words. 

"SILENCE!!" The dragon's voice boomed. "I hereby invite All the lycans to the land where unwanted mate bonds are broken to start an Era Of Enlightenment." Everyone present there gasped in horror at the dragon's words.

The dragon smirked at their reaction. "All the lost lycan mates reside on Queen Amber's land and by accepting my invitation you are accepting that you want to break your mate bond. Once broken, there is no turning back." The dragon exclaimed in a dramatic manner. He was really enjoying all the dramatics.

Aric was shocked to see his long lost ally in his kingdom and he was more shocked at his words. 

The fucker who claimed to be a royal messenger was Aidan, a fucking dragon king. And the speech he was delivering was a load of bullshit. 

No one has the power to break the mate bonds besides the Moon Goddess. 

As if reading Aric's mind the pup that was delivering a speech against the royal family at Aric's return stepped forward and questioned the Dragon King.

"How can she break mate bonds? Your Queen's words mean nothing to us. She doesn't hold the power to break the bonds, only Moon Goddess can create and break mate bonds. Your threats are loads of shit and nothing more." The pup spat the words at the Dragon King.

"Indeed your kind had literally fallen from grace. Don't you know that pups aren't allowed to address royals? And did I forget to tell you that Queen Amber is a crone and soon to be the crowned Queen of the witches? And just a friendly reminder, if you don't want your head served as an appetizer to my dragon then don't fucking interrupt me again pup!" The Dragon King sneered.

Gasps echoed all around Aric. . .

Charlie came to Aric's mind at the mention of a crone but he pushed that thought away and focused on the lycans who were hanging on Aidan's every word.

It was like no one was aware of Aric's presence there. Every lycan was solely focused on the Dragon King's threats.

At this moment Aric realized that his people had fallen from grace but along that they had forgotten their battle skills too.

Aric's nephew Darach had done a pretty good job of messing everyone's life as a King.

"The pain that all of you had given to your mates has been changed into power. Now it's time for all of you to choke on the ashes of the pain that you so generously delivered to your mates. All of you have ruined your mate bonds now it's time for you to watch as Queen Amber will set your meaningless bonds on fire. You all--" Aric didn't let the Dragon King complete his sentence.

"Aidan! It's been such a long time since I saw the Dragon King putting his nose where it didn't belong." Aric said nonchalantly while stepping towards Aidan, making his presence known.

Aidan's eyes snapped towards Aric, surprise flashed on his face and then a big smile graced his face. The arrogant expression that Aidan had on his face fell off in an instant.

The lycans that were panicked at Aidan's words now seemed calm upon Aric's interference. As if they trusted Aric to save their mate bond.

The irony~

They were expecting from a person to save their mate bond, a person who wasn't able to save his own bond.

"Indeed, It's been such a long time since the last time I saw the king of beasts where he truly belongs. Shall we take this inside your highness?" Aidan mocked a bow before heading inside the castle, leaving Aric to follow him inside.

Before following Aidan, Aric addressed his people. "Go back to your homes! No harm will come to your mate bonds. You have your King's words."

At this moment Aric vowed to save his doomed people. He was their King and he had no idea what had happened that had forced the lycan mates to run away from their own homes but he was sure about one thing that he was going to bring them back.
