Chapter XXIX

I glanced at Sebastian who was still grimacing. Ever since that day when I told him I saw the door slightly opened across his room, his behavior towards me suddenly changed.

He was back to his cold demeanor. His personality that I hate.

I even distanced myself and went back to my obedient, boring personality when I became his personal assistant. I even narrowed my eyes from the coffee I was making, imagining Sebastian that I was pricking his eyes right now.

I want to concoct a potion to make it tame this man again but I don't want to make any efforts because he was totally a jerk. I never wanted to discourse with him again.

I came out from the pantry as soon as I finished his espresso. My eyes focused on his godlike posture with his reading glasses on. Damn it... Why does he look so goddamn handsome right now? He was just reading some papers yet he was emitting an aura that made me want to go down on my knees today.

I softly gasped from that dirty thought. I castigated myself for being a horny woman again. The way I was thinking right now made me think that I am close to my period.

"Here's your coffee, sir," I said as I settled his coffee on his desk.

Sir Sebastian glanced at me before he glanced at his coffee. Then he nodded. "I need you to go to the marketing department to let them know about their approved marketing proposal." He handed me the folder.

I inhaled and exhaled seeing it. Before, I was being summoned as the marketing head to take this folder. Right now, he was ordering me to deliver this when he could have summoned that bastard Petrie.

"You can read it."

I snapped back. "Huh?" What did he say?

"You can read the contents of my decision if you want to know it," he said as he fixed his reading glass in the bridge of his nose.

I wanted to scoff but I stopped myself. "I don't think I need to read it," I said after glancing at the folder.

"Why?"

I met his eyes. "Because I could tell that you opposed it and rejected it." I shrugged before I decided to leave and didn't wait for him to say anything.

I just didn't want to discourse with him because he seemed frightening these past few days for I don't know what reason. I don't know if it's about the time I almost entered that room where he didn't want me to be around there or not.

That's how my relationship went with Sebastian every single day. It was awkward and... it made me feel sad.

"Hey, girl! Will you be busy this coming weekend?"

I glanced at Marlou with a smirk as we were watching The Untamed, Marlou's favorite Chinese drama. They said the genre is lowkey BL so I tried to watch it with him. It was honestly a good series considering the chemistry between Wei Wuxian and Lang Wangji is lowkey there. He told me that he was already done with the novel and gave me some spoilers. That those two men were married in the end.

"Huh... Are you going to push me for another failure of blind date again?" I teased.

He rolled his eyes. "Those aren't failures. I just have them meet your taste. I don't know why they became bastards in the end." He shrugged his shoulders.

It was always a mystery for me, too. All the men Marlou had me meet on the blind date were clicking on me but considering sometimes that I couldn't handle their interest in me, they looked all fine and all. When I thought that he would be the man I wanted to date for a second round, they suddenly lost their interest. Sometimes they would never show up in the end.

That was why I already stopped but I shouldn't. Because if I stopped going on a date, my father will intervene with my personal affairs once he knows that I'm still single up to this now. He would start consulting his colleagues to have their sons put me on a blind date.

I would never go on a blind date with my dad's recommendation. That is the decision I made before.

"You can try meeting with Noah."

"Noah? Who's that?" I raised my eyebrow.

Marlou bumped my shoulder. "Well, I met him at the bar," he paused and wriggled his eyebrows. "He's friends with Gabriel." He was talking about his boyfriend. "I told him about you and he seems interested to know more about you. Then he's up for a blind date this weekend. Well, you know, I wonder if you're up for it."

"Well... I have no specific plans..." Plus, I would only stay here in the flat for it was my rest day as well. I'm too lazy to go out. All I want is to lock myself in my room and will come out on Monday.

"Which reminds me, your father called me yesterday. He's asking if you're dating someone already."

My eyes widened. "What the fuck? He did?" He nodded. I held my chest, feeling my heart was about to explode. "W-What did you say to him? Don't tell him I'm still single!" I shook his shoulders, freaking out.

"Geez! Calm down, Cejay!" He rolled his eyes. "I told him you have one. And you are meeting him up this Saturday. Well, it's a good thing I spoke with Noah beforehand so I didn't make a lie. Just say yes so this won't turn out that your father will find out that you aren't dating one."

I shot him a glare. But on second thought, he was right. "Damn it... Is he pressuring me to grant him grandchildren, again? I'm still a freaking virgin! I never slept with any man I tried to date!" Lies. I never had gone to the point of sleeping with a man. Though I already fooled around by doing foreplay back when I was enjoying going to a bar but I never had gone to the point where I wanted to sleep around.

"Girl, loosen up if I were you. Sex is a good thing. It'll lose your screws." He grinned.

"I only did foreplay, you know. Then dry humping." I chuckled.

He slapped my arm which earned me glare at him. "Try without clothes and fuck until morning. It's worth it."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "I don't just give my virginity, pal. Plus, those men I fooled around didn't make me feel aroused that much. It's hard to find a man who'll meet your expectations and desires."

"Huh... Don't you find it hot whenever you look at your boss? You think he is meeting your expectations and desires." He wriggled his eyebrows.

"The fuck, Marlou? Are you hearing yourself?" I asked, surprised by his words. I didn't expect him to say such words. But I laughed anyway. "You're hilarious. He's hot, yeah but I'm not going to the point that I am desiring that grumpy man." I rolled my eyes.

"Oh? Looks like you sounded bitter this time. Did something happen? Misunderstanding?" He grinned.

"Nothing. He's always a jerk to my eyes," I lied. "Anyway, I will agree to the blind date this Saturday. It's time for me to look for a potential partner," I said.

"Right." He tapped my shoulder. "Rose Velvet at Bell Route Street. 8 PM." Grinning, I could tell that he won again. "I am already expecting you to agree to it and he already booked a table there. Noah Reeve is the name of the person."

I laughed, shaking my head. "I must prepare my dress for this Saturday then. I'll buy a new dress this Friday," I said as we both continued watching the series.

I felt relieved somehow that he didn't push the topic about Sir Sebastian. It's better this way that I would let myself go on a date again. It has been a while since I last went out. I just hope that Noah won't take an interest in me so much.

I may have found it uncomfortable as I didn't know how to deal with those men who had an interest in me. It felt like it was wrong yet it feels illegal as well.

"Thank God it's Friday!" I exclaimed and stretched my arms as soon as Sir Sebastian said that he was done in his work. I stood up and approached his desk as I did my routine to clean it up. I saw in my peripheral vision how he closed his eyes and massaged his temple. I couldn't help myself looking at him. "Are you alright, Sir Sebastian?"

He slowly peeled his eyes open and nodded. "Yeah, just a little tired..." He sighed.

"Do you want a massage?" Before I could even stop myself, I already blurted out the words I mustn't say.

He scoffed, chuckling. "No... There's no... need for that." But when he looked at my eyes, there was hope in them.

He's lying... I'm very sure about that. Sighing, I finished compiling the folders and returned them to the file cabinet. "I'll massage your shoulders," I said as I placed my hands on my waist. "Well, I am not a good masseur but I think I can make you feel good." I shrugged my shoulders.

He arched his eyebrow like he was finding me weird. "That's not reassuring... but I'll accept your offer."

I rolled my eyes hearing his playful tone. Though it has been a while since I last heard that tone from him, I might as well grab it instead of hearing his grumpy voice.

"I want to say you owe me but I am the one who offered so I'll let it slide," I said as soon as I went behind him and placed my hands on top of his shoulders.

I felt him stiffen after that. But his shoulders relaxed when I massaged it gently. I bit my lower lip when I got to see his nape and smelled the perfume that I picked for him which became his favorite perfume to use.

Damn... His nape looked so appealing for some reason as well as his clean-cut was making him handsome. But he looked so hot on his beard like I wanted to run my hands in it. If I get to have a boyfriend and he has this beard, I wouldn't stop playing on it.

"Lower, Cejay. There... Yes... Shit..."

I closed my eyes for a while as I stopped myself from squealing. Oh my god... Why was he moaning? Am I that good at massaging someone? I only did this to my dad before and this is the second time I would do it to another man.

He groaned and sighed in relief when my hands massaged the crook of his neck down to his shoulders. Then I leaned forward so I could reach his temples, massaging them.

Weird... Why do I feel like it was normal for me to do this with him? Must I feel uncomfortable for doing this to my boss? Why am I feeling otherwise? Why does it feel so good?

"How are you feeling?" I asked after a moment and settled beside him by facing him.

"Good..."

"That's good to hear," I said and was about to remove my hands from his temples when he suddenly took my hand with his, which made me gasp in surprise. "S-Sir...?" My heart was pumping so wild when he intertwined our hands together like we were a couple.

He sighed dreamily and brought my hand to his cheek. "It feels like a dream..." he murmured something that failed me to bear it as he closed his eyes. "I had been wanting to hold your hand for so long..."

I blinked. "Huh? What?" What did he say?

He slowly opened his eyes and leaned more to my hand like he was some sort of a puppy that had been wanting to be petted by his master. That made my heart leap when I saw how his eyes danced in... happiness?

Am I deciphering it right?

"Um... Sebastian?" What the hell is happening? Why suddenly had he gone so soft? And why the hell was my heart reacting to his touch that sent billions of bolts of electricity throughout my whole body?

What is this feeling?

He looked at me dreamily as he smiled softly which shocked me. Oh shit... He smiled! He fucking smiled, right?

He took a deep breath before he released my hand and stood up. "I'm feeling good now." He smiled sheepishly.

"Ouch! The fuck?" I touched my forehead when he flicked it with his fingers. "You imbecile..." I squinted my eyes at him as I couldn't help myself slapping his arm in annoyance.

He chuckled. "You've been spacing out so I thought you were mesmerized seeing me. You know... I know you like me."

I looked at him in disbelief. "Huh... I hope you are taking your medicine properly, old man. You're the one who is hallucinating today," I said and looked away, feeling my cheeks heating up from embarrassment.

Sebastian scoffed. "Sorry, sweetie. But I am always taking my medicine." My eyes widened when he pinched my chin and drew closer to me. Then he smirked when he met my eyes. "Have you always wondered if your deep brown eyes could be mistaken as a black color?" he asked as he drew closer to me.

I held my breath when I smelled his perfume and his intoxicating minty breath. My eyes were focused on his ocean blue eyes that seemed like a magnet to me. I couldn't say anything as I am speechless with the way he was so close to me.

Never. Never Sebastian had done this to me that was why I am totally speechless.

That earned him a smirk as he drew closer to land his lips just below my ear. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped when his lips nipped my skin. I was left stunned as I didn't know what to do.

Should I push him away? Should I punch him? This is assault, right? Right?

But why couldn't I move my hands as if they were being tied up?

Sebastian slowly drew a distance while looking at me with a smirk on his lips. "You should get ready. We'll be leaving the office," he said in his husky voice as he stepped back and took his suitcase before he winked at me.
