Chapter XXXIII
Shit... What on earth was he doing here in this place?
His ocean blue eyes pierced me. "Fancy meeting you here, Cejay."
I inhaled sharply, gulping. Fuck... I just saw him yesterday and now, I had to see him right at this moment? Oh, fuck me! I wanted to die in shame right now!
I smiled wryly. "Yeah..." Now, I feel awkward. However, he didn't look like he was being awkward to me. "What brings you here?" I asked, trying to lift up the conversation so I didn't have to remember what I did to him.
But what he did to me suddenly crossed my mind. It was unbelievably hot as well. Crap...
Sebastian shrugged. "I am actually in the mood to eat outside. I didn't know you would also be here," he said nonchalantly. His eyes roamed around before his eyes darted on me. "You don't like this kind of restaurant. This doesn't satiate your hunger, I believe."
My eyes widened when he came to know that. "Y-Yes. How did you know?" I asked, curious how on earth he knew about that fact.
"Whenever we tried eating outside, you still always end up buying some meal in a fast food restaurant."
"You are a keen observer, I see." I almost smiled because he knew that and I was thankful that someone like him noticed that. But it also reminded me that I had fooled around with him. So, I must act that I didn't care as much as possible. "I was planning to leave here actually."
"Hmm? You're ditching this blind date tonight?" he asked in an interesting tone.
I checked my phone and received no text from Marlou. Even from Noah who never texted me at least. "Looks like no one's coming." There was disappointment in my tone.
"Say..." I looked up at Sebastian. I scrutinized him up and down. I just noticed that he was wearing one of his expensive tuxedos. It looked like he was going on a date. "Would you like to have dinner with me? I know a place that will fill your stomach. We don't have to go to a place like this."
I blinked, dumbfounded. "Um..." What must I say? "I thought... you are going to eat here. I must take my leave."
He checked his wristwatch. "I am in need of a companion. So, since your date ditches you, why don't we have each other just like before, Cejay?" He bestowed me a meaningful smile.
I shivered and would like to say no but my mouth said otherwise. "S-Sure." I almost gasped from that but luckily, I didn't and remained as calmly as possible.
Sir Sebastian smiled at my answer. "Great." He stood up. "Shall we then?"
I was hesitant at the moment, glancing at my wristwatch again. But I realized that Noah already wasted my time so I decided to stand up and reached for Sebastian's arm. I heard his sharp intake of breath before he released a sigh and led me out of the restaurant.
"Does this happen to you, Cejay?" Sebastian asked when he opened the door of his car for me.
"Being ditched like this?" He nodded. I chuckled. "Several times. I already lost count."
"Ah... Shame."
"Yes, shame." I sighed. "I didn't know how many times I got disappointed. But if my father finds out that I have failure dates, he would come to visit me to check my condition."
"Is he eager to have you in a relationship?" Sebastian asked.
"Heh..." I smiled sheepishly. "No one's going to inherit his business anyway. He needs an heir or heiress."
"Why don't you? I thought you wanted to be a CEO of your own."
"My own business, sir. Not my father's business." I rolled my eyes. Then I noticed where we were going. "Drive-through?" I looked at him in disbelief when we were in a fast food restaurant.
"I know a spot for later. So, we'll take it out."
"Oh?" I blinked. "That's surprising. You never go out and I am always the one processing everything for you yet you know a spot, boss?" He glared at me. He looked offended. I smiled wryly. "Well, I've been working for you for over a year so... I am just astonished."
"You're not living with me so you do not know what personal business I did, Cejay," he said meaningfully.
"What is that supposed to mean?" That confused me right now. He didn't answer but instead, he diverted his attention from me to order some food.
I just shrugged it out and didn't get it in my head. Of course, I didn't know what could have been his business since I was not living with him. If ever he would want me to work there at his home, I would beg to disagree since I wanted some alone time with myself. I didn't wish to work even when I wanted a break.
I sniffed when I came to smell some burgers and chicken. My stomach grumbled. I frowned when Sir Sebastian looked at me with a teasing gaze.
"You really don't prefer five-star restaurants," he stated, not asked.
I twitched my lips to the corner. "It's making me more hungry. How can you be so full with those freaking small servings?" I rolled my eyes as he started to drive off somewhere.
Sebastian chuckled. I shivered because it was one of those rare moments that he would get to laugh like that. "I should be mindful next time that you are not going to reserve some restaurant that serves small servings."
"Huh?" I was left dumbfounded. "What? No. Why do you care about my welfare? You should worry about yourself. I can't even handle eating somewhere unlike when you are more used to eating small servings," I said, panicking.
"I don't mind. It is much better if you also enjoy it. What you enjoy is my joy as well." He shrugged his shoulders.
Damn it... How could he say that so nonchalantly as if he didn't mind about it? He was born with a silver spoon and yet he would adjust himself just because of me? Wow... Was he trying to be a noble because if he was, it didn't fit him at least.
My eyes widened when I noticed that Sir Sebastian was parking in a...
"Drive-in theater?" I huffed, almost chuckling when I looked at Sebastian in disbelief. "You know this kind of theater?" I asked, wanting to confirm. His home had an entertainment theater room for that so was it possible that he was coming here and knew about this?
He smiled sheepishly. I almost got swooned by his smile. It looked so precious that I wanted to cherish it.
"I used to come here when I was in college," he said before he decided to get down. "Come on. I'll set up the trunk."
"Whoa... Is that really Sir Sebastian?" I asked when I was left alone in his car. I decided to get out and noticed that he looked excited bringing the food he bought. "You have come... prepared?" I asked when he had a blanket and a few pillows set up. "Have you gone on a date with another woman, sir?"
"What?" He scoffed. "No." He tapped the space beside me.
I sat beside him after that. "But how come you are prepared?" He looked like he was expecting a date with someone.
"Just because."
"Just because?" I arched my eyebrow, not buying what he just said. He didn't say anything and removed his suit jacket. "Nice answer, Sebastian. You are really—"
I couldn't continue my words when he approached me and draped his suit jacket to my shoulders. I also held my breath because I smelled the perfume I chose for him before he drew his closer.
"Why don't we eat while watching, love?" he whispered that I almost had a heart attack. His ocean blue eyes pierced mine. I succumbed to them which made my heart leap out of my ribcage. "I am so close to kissing you like how you begged me to kiss you."
My jaw dropped and my eyes widened. I opened my mouth to say the things at least but there was nothing coming out. Damn it! I really thought that he would never bring it up but here he was, right in front of me, having me remember the humiliating action I did.
"I can..." He didn't let me finish when he popped my mouth some fries.
"Eat and enjoy the movie." Sebastian winked before he stepped back and returned to his seat.
At that moment, I could have sworn I had shivers down my spine. I didn't know if I would be able to enjoy watching while eating this time.
Fuck me!
