Getting A Pet Rabbit

POV: Felix
If only my father cared about me, but he doesn’t. He was cut off from his inheritance after he defied his fathers orders and went oversees to pursue his career in modeling, just like my mom. His absence caused us our position in the family and that was why the whole family saw it as an opportunity to get rid of me, his heir and take over. Mom stayed with me, but she gave up on the family and the company. She focused on her career, letting me fend for myself within the family.
Gramps never gave up on me. He said he saw a part of him in me and that is why he didn’t cut me off like he did my father. Despite all the accusation and bullying in the family, he always gave me the chance to clear my name and I always did. I have no relationship with my father, he divorced mom a few months after he was cut off and he never fought for custody, he doesn’t even call to check on me.
“You know you need to have a woman by your side if you want your grandfather to completely relinquish the family business to you. I am trying so hard to secure your future, Felix, why are you ruining it with excuses and frivolities?
Are you trying to lose everything you worked so hard to achieve, do you want to lose your I inheritance?
You seem to forget about your half brother from your fathers whore who is waiting patiently for the opportunity to take your place.” She yelled angrily. So, it turns out that the real reason dad never looked back after he was kicked out was because he was having a secret affair with mom’s best friend, aunt Lizzie Benson.
Mom nearly lost it when she found out her best friend is pregnant for her husband. The pain and anger made her take solace in hard drugs. I’m just glad she quit before she got too addicted to it. She quit because of her career, no one would hire a junkie to model their brand. She got invested in her work and after her friend had her son, dad left her too. She couldn’t bring her son to the family because Gramps never approved of her relationship with dad. Her son became known as my fathers bastard and he never showed his face in our home.
You should have seen the excitement on mom’s face when her friend returned back home with nothing but a bastard son. Dad never bothered with any of the stories and rumors. He just moved on with his life without looking back. It was as if we were just a phase in his life that he has successfully passed. For all we know, he could have done the same thing to many more women out there. Who knows, I could have many bastard brothers and sisters out there.
“You must not let them win Felix you have to chose from the women I showed you, son. Come back home right now and see the super models I have lined u for you. They all have good backgrounds and I’m sure you’ll love them.” She said coaxingly.

Stop worrying about me!
You weren’t worried when you left me in the midst of my enemies to go and pursue your career, so why now?
Stop worrying about the company and stop fussing about my personal life. I have it under control, I’ll handamidwant to work closely with me, you must be loyal to me alone. I keep a very tight circle and I make sure everyone in my circle understand the rules.
I take loyalty very seriously, I can’t have you in my circle if I don’t trust you to protect my secrets and keep my location and business trips secret. Twice, I’ve almost be killed, so I don’t let my guard down with people. I’m always in control, I always discipline and keep everyone on their level. If I can demand loyalty from my Secretary, what about the girl I love, the girl that will be called my woman?
“She will be tamed…
She will be loyal and submissive. I’m never letting her mingle with anyone, she’s all mine. I’ll keep a close eye on her, watch her every move. She must obey.” I thought within me as I smiled brightly and walked into the store.
“What can I get for you today, sir?” the receptionist asked with a bright smile plastered on her face.
“I want a pet rabbit, a beautiful female rabbit that can make me cancel a days job just to be with her. I want her cute and stubborn, I want her happy and ready to giggle a play around whenever I wanted her to. She will be mine and mine alone.” I told the receptionist, earning me a look that indicates that I’m too specific with what I want.
She led the way inside and when she came out again, she brought out some caged rabbits. They were so many, with different colors, shapes and sizes. But my eyes served on one white rabbit that looks as innocent and cute as her. It felt like it knew my mission because it stood on one spot in it’s cage, looking fixedly at me.
“That one!
I want the white cute one.” I told her excitedly, all the while thinking of one person. The receptionist loved my choice of pet and she did the paper work and got her ready for me to claim her as mine. I carried her in her café and headed back to the car. John stepped forward to help me, but I turned him away and decided to take care of her by myself.
There was a fruit store close by. I put my pet down in the car and stopped by the store to get some fresh carrots for my new pet. I almost laughed out loud when I opened the car door and met her exactly where I put her.
“Hello new friend. I’m Felix, your master. I’m going to name you, Lina my pet. You will do as I say and stay in your box at all times. If you are loyal and submissive, you will get some treats from me. But if you remain stubborn and aggressive with me, I’ll make you regret it.” I instructed her as though I was speaking with Selina.
Until I tame Selina, this rabbit will be my Lina…
