Chapter 39: His Heart
Avery’s eyes widened after hearing his words. Her heart instantly melted even if this kind of date was not new to her. As a mistress for years, she was used to being hidden from the public and it was good for her too so she won’t be associated with her ex-partner.
But hearing this from Carson felt different. It felt real and genuine. He listened to what she felt a while ago and he did something to make her feel okay. He then got the folder out of her hands and led her to her seat.
He pulled the chair for her and she gladly sat. He then did the same and sat across her. There was salad, pasta, fries, and steak. The aroma of the room made her relax and forget about her problems.
“Why are you doing this?” She knew she didn’t have to ask but she wanted to hear it from him.
Carson was about to take a bite of the salad when he paused. “I felt that ever since we met, all we ever did was test each other. I test to see if you are real towards me and you test what kind of man I am. I guess it’s about time we accept that we aren’t the bad guys here.”
She paused and looked down. Hearing that statement from him made it clear that he trusted her 100%. She was now officially wrapped around her finger. If she was the old Avery, she would grab this opportunity to get whatever she liked. But this time, it was different.
She didn’t feel happiness instead she felt sad. She knew his heart would be broken once Ji made his move. She turned to Carson who was enjoying his salad. She didn’t want to see that smile fade away.
As they ate, there was a calm music playing in the background. Carson started to talk about his fascination with painting and Avery attentively listened to him. She was making the most out of their borrowed time.
When they were done eating, he stood up and walked to her. She looked at him with confusion as he offered his hand, “may I ask you to dance?”
“But we just ate…”
He chuckled, “It won’t be that kind of dance. Come on”
She got his hand as he walked her into the room. He placed his hand on her waist as she rested her head on his chest. It was like what they did at the party. But this time, they were closer to each other. His scent lingered as they move slowly. His heart beat was beating fast and it made her chuckle being so close to it.
“Avery”
“Hm?” She asked as she moved her head to face him.
“I was thinking, what if we make it real?”
Her eyebrows furrowed, “What do you mean?”
He smiled and cupped her face, “This. Whatever it was that we had. Our relationship. The press thinks we’re a couple already anyways plus my family likes you so there isn’t a problem.”
Her expression was surprised. Her heart started to beat loudly as if it was the first time she heard a confession. His smile was gentle and assuring. His touch was warm and secure. She knew what she wanted. But she also knew what she needed to do.
“What do you say?”
She didn’t respond. Instead, she kissed him. His eyes slowly closed as the kiss became deeper. She didn’t kiss him because she said yes. She wanted to hide the tears in her eyes. The kiss became intense and in no time, Carson carried her.
He took her by the bed and gently laid her body. She immediately wiped her tears before he could see them and looked at him as he removed his blazer. She smiles as he looked at her, but his stare was different. It wasn’t the same as those rich old men.
She sat as she unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his abs. She was about to touch his pants when he stopped her. He pulled the sleeves off her romper, showing her chest. He then started kissing her neck as she touched his torso.
His kisses became aggressive, making her moan to the pleasure. She laid back as he removed the rest of her clothes. He laid on top of her as he lightly touched her now wet core. She closed her eyes as she savored all his touches. He started kissing her again as he pleasured her below.
When he removed his hand, he pressed his body onto her. She could feel his hard manhood between her legs, making her excited. She aimed for his pants as he played with her chest. Their kiss became more intense as they continue to touch each other.
Once she was able to remove his pants, she started stroking his manhood with her hand, increasing the intensity of his kisses. He moved down, making her grip on him loosened. His head was not in between her legs as he tasted her.
Avery was surprised at how good he was. One of her hands held the blanket tight while the other hand was on his hair. Her legs started to feel weak as her breathing increased. His hand was on her chest and she couldn’t stop herself from moaning.
She was near when she tapped him, making her move on top of her again. She kissed him to taste herself as he prepared to go inside of her. He double checked if she was ready and slowly went it, making her relaxed for some reason. He went fully inside, which made her kisses intense.
Their bodies moved to the rhythm as Avery locked her legs on his back. The feeling was better than what she felt in the car and it was driving her crazy.
Suddenly, he paused to look at her. “I love you.”
Her eyes widened with the sudden statement. “What?”
He looked at her with those sincere eyes, “I am in-love with you, Avery. I know this isn’t the most romantic way to say it, but I think you should know.”
