Krystal wondered what was going to happen with the Leadway investors. She didn’t want she and Andrew to fight over such a thing but there was nothing she could do. She needed it so much but she knew it would be a great thing for Andrew also because he was the C.E.O now and getting an investment like that would change everything.
Krystal tried not to think of it so much. Friday was still a few days away, she thought and she didn’t want to think of something she were wouldn’t be able to control now.
Andrew on the other hand didn’t say much about it and had only ended the conversation as fast as it began.
They both ate their toast the next morning in silence trying not to bring up the topic again about the investor again.
“How is Rita? Heard from her?” Krystal asked, breaking the silence.
“She hasn’t been picking my calls but I called the house and the housekeeper said she was fine and home,” Andrew explained.
“She is just too stubborn. I don’t know where she gets it from,” he added and Krystal laughed.
“You are the same.”
Andrew laughed.
“I am not!”
“You are.”
“I am not!!”
“Alright then,” she said with a smile.
“When is mum coming back from travels?” Krystal asked.
“You miss her already?”
“She seems like the only member of the family who likes me.”
“What about me,” he said with a smirk.
“You definitely didn’t like me the first time we met,” she said and he smiled.
“You were too much.”
“What do you mean too much.”
“You literarily told me to get married to you after you just got hit by my car. I sincerely thought you were crazy,” he said and Krystal burst out laughing.
“Fair enough. I would think the same about myself too if I were you.”
“And then you went to spend all my money buying so many different things.”
“In my defense, I couldn’t find my card,” she said
“You lier. I am sure you could,” he said and she laughed.
“I feel it was fate that brought us together,” she said.
She noticed the look on his face.
“You don’t believe in fate?”
“I don’t know. I wouldn’t outrightly say that though.”
“Do you believe in soulmates?” She asked.
He stood from where he was sitting picking up his stuffs to get going to work.
“I need to go now. Late already.”
“You didn’t answer my question. You are always finding was to evade questions that make you uncomfortable.”
“No, I am not.”
“Yes, you are.”
“Bye Krystal,” he said and walked away.
Krystal also finished eating some minutes after he had left. She decided to not go to work straight and planned on making a quick stop first at someplace else.
She drove straight to the apartment she had seen Lucy enter. She got down from her car and walked into the apartment.
She didn’t know the particular room she had entered, so she knew she was still going to do a bit of work.
She met a guy as she entered through the gate. He was in kind of a hurry but she had stopped him anyway.
“Hello, please excuse me.”
The man stopped and turned to look at her.
“Please do you know anybody by the name Lucy in this apartment?” She asked.
“No.”
Before Krystal could say anything else, the guy was out of the door.
She walked further into the house.
She met a lady going with a kid by her side.
“Excuse me.”
“Sorry to disturb you. Please do you know anyone by Lucy here?”
“Yes, I do.”
Krystal was excited.
“Can you tell me which is hers?”
The lady described the room to her in which Lucy stayed.
“Thank you.”
She walked towards the direction that had been described.
She knocked on the door the first time and there was no response. She did the second time and the door flung open.
It was the lady she had seen the other night.
“Hello, how can I help you?” She asked.
“Wanted to ask some questions, may I come in?” She asked.
“I don’t know you, I would like for you to answer me first. Who are you and what questions do you want to ask?”
Before Krystal could say anything. A baby started to cry from inside.
“Please be fast,” she said
“Do you know anyone by the name Collins,” Krystal said and immediately Lucy’s countenance changed.
She became sweaty and her heart raced.
“Who sent you?” Lucy asked, her voice shaky.
“No one, no one sent me,” she said immediately.
“I don’t know anyone by that name,” Lucy said.
Krystal knew she was hiding something and she didn’t want to talk or say the fact that she had in fact seen her the night before at his house.
“I am only here to help, please.”
“I don’t need your help and you should please leave,” Lucy said, closing the door but Krystal had held it with her hands.
“Please,” Krystal said.
“Leave please,”
Krystal knew that Lucy wasn’t going to bulge. She wondered what she was so scared of or who she was so scared of.
Krystal brought out her card from her pocket.
“Please take my card. Call me anytime you need anything or want to talk,” Krystal said.
Lucy collected the card and immediately she closed her door.
Krystal was even more curious about what was going on with Lucy and what she was hiding or was so afraid of.
Krystal went back to work after she left Lucy’s place. She was quiet late but she knew anything she had to do, she had to do it fast.
Krystal didn’t stay at work for the whole day. She left work quiet earlier than normal and then went home.
She realized that Andrew was already home when she got in.
“Andrew!! Andrew!!” She called after she got in.
She didn’t know why she was even shouting his name.
“I am up,” Andrew said from the bedroom.
She went up and opened the room door.
“Get changed, we are going out.”
“Where?” Krystal asked surprised with a smile.
“Let’s party, have some fun,” he said.
“It’s a week day though,” she said laughing.
“I am the C.E.O and you’re the boss’s child. I think we can manage,” he said, dragging her towards her closet.
“I guess it’s been a while. A little night out won’t hurt anyone.”
“That’s the spirit. Now get dressed.”
Krystal took a quick shower and put on a nice black shirt dress. She tied her hair up in a bun and applied some light makeup.
Andrew was already down waiting for her. She picked up her purse and went down to meet him.
Andrew heard steps and turned to look at Krystal.
“You look beautiful in that dress,” he said and she smiled.
“Thank you.”
Within minutes, they were in the car and the driver drove to the club. It was about 7pm already.
They both got down from the car once they had gotten to the club.
He dragged her inside playfully and she laughed following him. She had never seen that playful side of him before and she loved it.
They got to the bar and first ordered shots each. Andrew then dragged her to the dance floor and they danced the night away.
“More shots!!” Krystal screamed. Taking what felt like her 100th shot.
Andrew laughed.
“You need to take it easy with the drinks Krystal!!” Andrew said, taking the shot cup away from her and keeping it away.
“I am fine,” she said, drunkenly.
They both continued dancing through the night. Andrew realized that Krystal was a bit drunk and decided to call the driver to come pick them up.
The driver came in a few minutes and Andrew helped Krystal out into the car.
“Are we leaving already!!” Krystal said.
“Yes, we are. It’s late now.”
They got home several minutes later and Andrew helped Krystal down from the car and up into the bedroom. She was drunk. Andrew figured that she probably had a low threshold for alcohol.
He lay her on the bed gently and as he was about to get into the upright position. Krystal held onto his top. She rubbed his lips with her finger.
“Kiss me,” she said with a sexy voice.
Andrew stared into her eyes. As tempting as it was, he knew he couldn’t do it.
“You’re drunk Krystal,” he said in a low tone.
“I want you. Kiss me,” she said again
Andrew gently removed her grip from his top.
He turned to pick the duvet to cover her and before he could turn back, she was asleep.
He adjusted her well in bed, removed her shoes and covered her with the duvet.
He stood by her side and watched as she slept like a baby.
He had so much fun with her that night and couldn’t remember the last time he felt that way.
