Krystal had woken up in the morning and realized that Andrew hadn’t slept in the same bed as she had the previous night.
She had found it difficult to fall asleep the night before, as words Andrew said to her had been consistently ringing in her head.
She had found it so difficult because she knew that everything he had said was the truth. Even though with some, he had overreacted. He was right but she wasn’t ready to admit that to herself.
She had forced herself to sleep while thinking of the question that had hit her the most in all of it.
“Do you even know what you want?”
Krystal was confused for the most part of what was going on. She really didn’t know what she wanted. For the most part of it, she knew she wanted revenge from Collins for what he did to her and also to expose him for all he had done.
She knew Andrew was a cool and sweet guy, contrary to everything she had thought about him. He was caring, loving but that was all to her, or at least that was what she thought at that moment.
She stared at the side where Andrew would normally sleep by her side. She had gotten used to him being there when she woke up and now it felt weird.
She stood from the bed and went into the shower to freshen up. It was Saturday and unfortunately, both of them were going to be home together.
She stared in the mirror as she put her hair up in a tight bun. She wore a casual outfit and then stared at the diamond necklace that was still on her. She removed it and she really didn’t know why she did. To her, she didn’t feel like she had to do anything Andrew told her to.
She didn’t feel she owed him anything but she did either ways.
Andrew had slept in the next room. It was initially never his plan but he wanted it to be a means of escape from her, from what he was feeling which was becoming more evident to him.
At first, he had thought of it to be just a form of care. He thought he was that way because she was legally his wife. He thought it was because she was a loving person but the night before, something was glaring.
It wasn’t just because of all that. It was because he had a feeling he was afraid to acknowledge. A feeling he had never felt before. A feeling he wasn’t sure was going to be reciprocated.
The night had revealed a lot to him and one thing he realized was that Krystal wasn’t completely over Collins and with that, he didn’t know how to feel. He hoped what he felt was something that would go with time and that’s what he is banking on.
Krystal got downstairs, not knowing what she would say if she ran into Andrew. She didn’t know if she was to apologize. Unsure of what she actually did.
She didn’t see Andrew as she walked towards the dining to eat breakfast.
She was about to sit to eat when she saw Andrew approaching. She sat and was served her food. Andrew also sat and they both said nothing to one another.
The chef served each of their food and they are trying their best to not meet each other’s gaze as they are in silence.
When they were done eating. The dishes were packed. It was then silent between them as the tension grew.
They both immediately looked up at one another and simultaneously they said “I am sorry.”
“I….”
“I know…”
They both said interrupting one another.
“You first,” Andrew said.
“I know I am a lot of things and I can be stubborn too but I am sorry about yesterday. How I spoke and everything that happened.”
“I am also sorry about the things I said yesterday.”
They both smiled
“It’s fine. Some of the things you said, I needed to hear them,” Krystal said.
“Also I didn’t know Collins did that to you in high school.”
“It’s in the past now though. I rearly even ever think about it.”
“Why did everyone not believe your part of the story and just went with the first one?”krystal asked.
“Because I never told my part of the story,” he said.
“I don’t understand. You didn’t tell anyone?”krystal asked surprised. She didn’t understand what he was talking about.
“Yes i didn’t.”
“Why?”
“Because when it happened and the rumor spread. Everyone started calling me a player and even the girls started liking me. It was good for my reputation. It was better than them finding out that it was Brittney who cheated and with my best friend at that.” He explained.
