Krystal’s head hurt as the Uber driver drove her home. She was still having a hangover but she knew there was no time for that.

She checked her phone and realized she had several missed calls from her and also from Lucy.

She thought of a million things to tell Andrew but nothing was coming to her mind. She hated the situation she was in and wished she could somehow do something about it.

She got home after a few minutes and when she opened the door. She hoped Andrew was out for his run or had gone to work.

Unfortunately immediately she stepped in and was about walking up. She saw Andrew sitting by the dinning taking his morning coffee.

“Didn’t know you were planning on ever coming back home,” he said, turning to face her.

Krystal wondered why she was met by such an harsh greeting. She figured he was probably still angry about she bailing on him yesterday.

“I am sorry about yesterday.”

“You don’t owe me anything. You don’t have to be sorry. After all, this isn’t a real marriage to you. Well maybe, if this meant something to you, you wouldn’t do that.”

“Don’t say that,” Krystal said, moving closer to him. She felt extremely bad.

“I had something important to do.”

“You know, you don’t have to let me know how unimportant I am.”

“I am not saying that!”

“Then what are you saying!!”

“Maybe if you told me things, I would understand and this won’t all just be a mystery.”

“I wish I could tell you!! But I can’t!! You won’t understand!!” She said.

“That’s what you always say!!”

Krystal wished she could tell him everything. She was tired of hiding it all from him. She wasn’t even sure she would know where to start from.

Andrew’s phone beeped and several pictures entered it from an unknown number.

Andrew scrolled through the picture that had been sent. It was pictures of Krystal at the club with Andrew in various compromising positions.

Andrew didn’t know what he was feeling but he knew he had never felt that way before. It was a mix of hurt, betrayal and sadness.

Krystal wondered what he was so focused on his phone.

Andrew turned his phone to Krystal.

“Was this the important thing?” Krystal stared at the pictures in disbelief.

Her heart raced. Her palms started to sweat. She hated this feeling.

“Who sent this to you?” She asked.

“Does it matter!!”

“Where you here or not yesterday!! Just answer the Goddamn question!!”

“Yes!! I was but I can explain,” she said. She didn’t know what to say or how to feel. Angry Andrew was also not a good experience.

“I don’t want to hear anything from you again!! All you do is lie and lie some more.”

Andrew’s eyes filled with tears.

“You know, I was so excited for the dinner. I was looking forward to it,” he said as he smiled through the tear filled eyes.

“I had looked in the mirror a million times practicing what I would say to you and how I would express my feelings to you but nothing seemed right because even words can’t explain it.”

Krystal was shocked at the revelation. She was had no words as tears filled her eyes and a million feelings were running through her body.

“I should have know I was a fool!!” He said running his hands through his hair.

“You’re not a fool,” Krystal said in a low tone as tears ran down her cheeks. She wasn’t sure why she was crying. She didn’t know if it was because the man she was starting to fall in love with, loved her back or if it was because she had just ruined her best chance at love with her love for revenge.

The tears wouldn’t stop falling.

“If only I knew how to stop this feelings maybe it would be better and wouldn’t hurt this much!!! I hate myself for ever feeling this way!! I hate myself for ever agreeing to your little scheme!!”

“Did he put you up to this!!! Was this the plan all along with the two of you!!!”

“What are you saying?” Krystal asked.

“Plan for you to fake not marrying him to get me to marry you so you could make me fall for you and then leave me!!”

“No, no I would never do that to you. I wouldn’t want to hurt you,” Krystal said.

“Well, you plan worked. Cause I am very much broken now.”

“Andrew, Andrew,” Krystal called as he walked away upstairs.

The tears wouldn’t stop coming down her cheeks.

“I regret the day I met you Krystal!!” He said and then went up stairs.

The words he said pierced Krystal’s heart like a sword.

She fell to the floor and cried some more. How could she had been so stupid and not seen how much he likes her” she thought.

She was so blinded by revenge and nothing else had mattered.

She didn’t have time to wonder who had sent the pictures to Andrew. She wished things didn’t happen this way. She wished she hadn’t agreed to go to drinks with collins yesterday.

She wished she had attended the dinner and had told andrew what she also felt for him just like what he felt for her.

She hated herself for what was happening.

Andrew came down some minutes after and he had a box in his hands. Krystal stood from where she was on the floor, wondering what was going on.

She realized that he had packed his stuff.

“Where are you going?” She asked.

“Away from you,” he said and then placed his box at the back sit of his car.

“Please don’t go, let’s talk about this,” Krystal said but andrew opened the car door and sat inside.

“You do not care, stop acting like you do.”

“But I do,” she said

“Words do not mean anything,” he said, before driving away.
