CHAPTER TWELVE

" I quit working at school actually and please Andy do not tell my mum about this yet " Ava repeated again to Andy who stood wondering in shock " so what next for you , I mean what's the point " Andy asked quickly " you do not have to worry Andy , I have a piece of land at the city . I already made plans for loan ,so Andy everything is fine " Ava said with a smile urging her friend to sit " so what your plan " Andy asked as she sat quietly beside her friend on the bed " hmmm actually I have not decided but something came to my mind recently, I thought of baby care products and baby immediately what your opinion about that?" Ava asked drily "that is nice but I just think you should think it over again , businesses are not so easy , you need capital , labour and all that ...." Andy said as she pats Ava's stomach " I am fine , trust me Andy " Ava said with a smile " so you still wont tell Logan about his child , I know you do not want to talk about it , but honestly he deserves to know about this " Andy said quickly " listen to me Andy , because Liam told you nothing happened does not end it all, i can not be so sure nothing happened that night , he always come back , the next thing you know he might show up and claim the baby , Logan made it clear he can never father someone else child , so please Andy I am trying to forget all this and move on , as long as I don't see them anymore I am fine " Ava held Andy with a teary eye " I told you Liam has moved on , I am sure he wants you to move on too honey and as a matter of fact I don't think Logan does not want you, anyway it is fine then as long as you don't feel burdened by the child" Andy ended as she stood to leave " you are leaving early " Ava asked quickly " yes dear I need to see a client in the next thirty minutes ,I will see you later " Andy replied quickly " okay then bye "not too long after her phone rang it was her mum " hi Ava is everything alright , I wanted to know when you were coming back " Mrs Miller asked quickly " mum I will let you know when I decide , I am trying to get something's done before I get back , I am fine too , everything is alright you do not have to worry about anything " Ava replied quickly as she was so short of breathe " okay Darling , in case you need anything call me " Mrs Miller said with worry " you know I won't do that mum " I can take care of myself " Ava wiped off the tears that almost fell on her cheek " are you crying " Mrs Miller asked sensing her daughter teary tone " I am not mum , let me talk to you later please " Ava hung up quickly to avoid tearing up " that was close " she murmured to herself . A message popped on her screen immediately:

" miss Ava miller , your loan request has been granted . please visit our office for further necessary information "

Ava went through it as she murmured for the last time to herself " I can do this " she felt a sharp pain in her tummy " oh my God " she smiled as she rubbed her tummy " she heard a knock on her door and jerked immediately " come in " she knew it was her dad " dad I was just about to come and see you " Ava said as she drag the stool in her room for her father to sit " actually I will be going to New York tomorrow dad , and I want you to keep this away from everyone including mum , I need some space a and some time " Ava said as she held her father hands " you have to tell me what you are up to Ava , you can not stay away from people with your current condition you need people around you , I am sorry but I can not keep that promise , your mum will never forgive me " Mr miller said quickly " dad it just for sometime I promise you I will be fine , it nothing serious dad please I am begging you to do this for me " Ava said with a teary eye " come closer " Mr miller hugged Ava as he continued " I will do what you want as long as you are fine honey , make sure you keep in touch too " Mr miller smiled at his daughter whom seem very happy for the first time since she got to his place " I am hungry dad " Ava said as she smiled brightly " I will prepare you something to eat , just give me two minutes " Mr miller stood up and walked it after staring at Ava like she was about to disappear " dad I am still here for now " Ava whispered jokingly enough for her dad to hear

Mrs Rodriguez sat beside Logan immediately the housekeeper packed the plates used for dinner " you said you wanted to talk to me about something Logan is everything alright , you have not been your usual self since you got here " Mrs Rodriguez pats his back waiting for his reply " mum I am sorry to disappointed you like this , I got two ladies pregnant " Logan felt how his mother's hand left his back and then he confirmed she was more than disappointed " Logan you just said two women right ? " Mrs Rodriguez asked unbelievably " I am sorry mum everything happened to fast , I just ...."Mrs Rodriguez's cuts him off sharply " you know what I m done having this conversation " Mrs Rodriguez angrily stood up to walk away " I am sorry mum " Logan held her hand to restrain her from moving further " okay fine, I do not know how this will not get to paper headlines tomorrow , you need to claim the babies so as not to ruin your reputation and I need to meet these women a as soon as possible " Mrs Rodriguez sat back as she rubs her forehead " actually I do not not know the whereabout of the other but I know where Isabella is , I just want her child I don't want to marry her " Logan picked his phone to dial Isabella 's number immediately " hello Bells " Logan waited two seconds before she replied " have you made up your mind " Isabella asked with so much pride " actually I want to take responsibility for my child , I will like you to meet my mum tomorrow if you don't mind " Logan wished she will say no but she happily replied the opposite " yes for sure , see you tomorrow , I am sorry I need to hang up now , your baby just kicked for food " Isabella laughed irritably before she hung up " that's the same Isabella your friend had something with right ? " Mrs Rodriguez asked with disappointment " it is all too complicated mum I wish you can understand , I need to rest mum I need to think " Logan stood up immediately leaving his mum who look devastated .Logan woke up due to his mum insistent knocking " come in " Logan hurriedly sat upright " I did not know I slept for so long " Drake was here , I told him to come back " Mrs Rodriguez sat quietly beside Logan as she continues " when your mother died , I was scared to raise you all alone , I am sorry I got mad yesterday , I just felt bad I might have been the reason you got into your situation , I always wanted you to get married , I must have pushed you too far honey , I am so sorry" Mrs Rodriguez said with a teary eyes " mum you should not blame yourself , you are the best and the reason I am where I am today , I just want you to know that wherever mum is , I am sure she is happy and proud of me , so please stop blaming yourself for the mistakes I made , I promise to correct them " Logan hugged her quickly so she could hold back her tears " mum I was thinking of going out of the city for sometime , I think I will get over this stress that way faster , I have some business ideas I want to discover too " Logan said hoping she does not mind " that is fine , I wanted to suggest that too, take your time honey " Mrs Rodriguez smiled as she held Logan's hands. " you still treat me like a child mum , I am about to become a father "
Logan smiled as she touched his cheek " I have just you so let me pamper you while I can honey , I am ordering dinner , tell the maids what you want I will leave now , I have some unfinished business to attend to " Mrs Rodriguez stood up quickly walking toward the door, she smiled at Logan before she opened the door " okay mum " Logan fell back on the bed smiling happily after his mum left , he was glad she was not mad at him anymore now he could think of other things he needed to solve.
