CHAPTER TWENTY - FOUR

‘’ Logan I heard Bell escaped from prison , Dumbbell called to tell me Andy is missing , what do we do Logan ? .’’ Ava paced the room fro and back crying profusely ‘’ Dumbbell called me too , I spoke with the police already , you need to calm down Ava the police are on the lookout for Bell I am sure they will find her , go inside and rest , I will try calling some people who can help .’’ Logan picked up his phone when Ava did not seem to listen to him ‘’ Logan I have been with this people , I know what they are capable of doing , please try calling the police again .’’ Ava wiped her face waiting for Logan to call ‘’ I will be right back , stay with the kids and do not go anywhere . I need to meet Dumbbell at the police station .’’ Ava said quickly ‘’ no I am fine, I can go with you ." Ava replied as she almost went in to dress up " one of us have to stay back for the kids , please make sure you rest , I will call you if anything happens .’’ Logan pecked Ava before stepping out quickly . Ava went into the room to change from her nightie to a appropriate clothing . she had just had sex with Logan that morning when Dumbbell called them to tell them Andy was kidnapped while returning from her trip . she had sprang up quickly threw on her nightie ready to go out to find Andy when Logan dragged her back , he called the police and hey were informed that Isabella escaped from prison , she must have been out for her revenge . Ava sob quietly as she remembered what she went through when Isabella kidnapped her . she prayed silently that Andy does not get to experience such . she went to see her kids who were sleeping comfortably , she sighed and walked back to her room , her phone rang and she ran to pick it hoping it was either Logan or Andy but to her surprise she got the greatest shock of her life that day ‘’ hello Mrs Rodriguez , we are calling from WingView hospital , your husband just had an accident along Penson’s street , we need you here as soon as possible .’’ Ava’s phone fell from her hands in shock , she suddenly went into shock as tears fell from her eyes freely ‘’ hello Mrs Rodriguez . can you hear me . we need you at our office in the next thirty minutes ’’ The caller who she suspected to be a nurse repeated again . Ava fell on the floor crying sorrowfully ‘’ is everything alright Mrs Rodriguez .’’ Drake rushed in when he had her scream ‘’ why didn’t you leave with my husband Logan had an accident .’’ Ava announced as she stood up quickly ‘ he wanted me to stay behind with the other guards , I tried to pester him to let me drive him , he wouldn’t listen .’’ Drake bowed with a sad face ‘’ take me to the hospital , I will call my mum to come stay with the kids , instruct the other guards to keep watch while we are away , get the car ready I will join you downstairs in two minutes .’’ Ava picked her phone and rushed after Drake almost immediately trying hard not to cry . she sob silently throughout the ride to the hospital ‘’ doctor what happened to my husband ? , please where is he doctor ? ‘’ ava asked as tears fell from her eyes ‘’ lets talk in my office Mrs Rodriguez .’’ the doctor walked Ava into his office and closed the door behind them ‘’ we were able to treat your husband very fast when he was brought here , but I am afraid to tell you that your husband hit his head which resulted to a little bleed in the brain . So your husband might have a temporary amnesia Mrs Rodriguez .’’ the doctor gave her some document after signing asking her to sign to ‘’ doctor are you saying my husband lost his memories , I mean he wont remember anything at all ‘’ Ava held her head crying with pain ‘’ he will have flashes sometime or remember little , but I will advise you to watch him closely Mrs Rodriguez , if you may excuse me now , I have some patients to attend to .’’ The doctor stood up quickly to open the door . Ava stood slowly as she walked out of the room . she wished she had listened to Logan when he told her to calm down , he would not have hurried out to meet Dumbbell , just when she was starting to live her best life again , she saw Logan mum coming inside already ‘’ Ava what happened? , I saw the news and I ran here , what happened to Logan ? please take me to Logan .’’ Mrs Rodriguez said with pains in her eyes ‘’ mum, Logan has amnesia , the doctor says he lost his memory , he might not remember anything probably for a long time , if I knew he would not come back I would not have let him go out , I am scared mum .’’ Ava’s eyes were red and swollen as she cried bitterly ‘’ Ava wipe your tears be glad he is alive , we should check up on him , he needs you Ava more than he needs me right now , please Ava try to cheer up . " Mrs Rodriguez tries to lift her " I don't think I can look at Logan right now ,I might tear up right in his front , he does not need that from me at the moment I will go in when I can handle myself ." Ava sobs gently as she remembered Logan's situation and how reluctant he was earlier when she encouraged him to find Andy " Ava he needs you now more than he needs anyone , more than he needs me too , only you can help him at this period of his life , please get up and let go to see him honey ." Mrs Rodriguez wiped of the tears from her own eyes with her handkerchief " I will join you when I am done using the ladies , I need to wash my face , Logan should not see me like this ." Ava stood up , hugged Mrs Rodriguez briefly and walked to the ladies . Mrs Rodriguez opened the door to the room Logan was admitted quietly , he was sleeping so she walked in quietly " Logan ." Mrs Rodriguez fell on her kneels crying bitterly " how did this happen , Logan , I am sorry I failed to protect you ." Mrs Rodriguez said quietly in the best way she could " please wake up and remember me Logan , I can not watch you live like this , it is hurting me , I don't know what to do , please wake up and talk to me ." Mrs Rodriguez held his hands slowly and cried on it " please come back to yourself Logan ,don't do this to me ." she cried bitterly as she held her chest " I don't think your mother will ever forgive me , I should have tried my best , you shouting not have ended up like this Logan , Logan please forgive me." She stopped when she felt his hand moved from hers , she cleaned her face quickly and looked up at him " Logan you are awake , I am sorry I disturbed you ." Mrs Rodriguez let go off his hands quickly " what am I doing here ? Who are you ? Do you know me ? . " Logan asked questions as he looked around the room which was definitely a hospital to him " I am your wife , I am Ava and she is your mother , you are Logan darling ."Ava walked in Troy her best to smile , she sat down beside him quietly . Logan looked at his finger for ring , Ava noticed and showed him her ring too " we are married Logan , don't be scared to talk to me ." Ava touched his face trying not to cry " how did I get here? What happened to me ?. " Logan asked with fears in his eyes "Logan , do you remember anything at all , even your kids ." tears fell down from Ava's eyes again , she could not hold it anymore , " Ava you should not do this in front of Logan please , let get out of here ." Mrs Rodriguez tried to take her away but she stopped " I am not crying anymore mum , I just can't handle this , I will tell Drake to bring some of our wedding pictures and talk to our kids too ." Ava pecked Logan before she went out quickly to talk to Drake . Logan was looking everywhere with surprise and curiosity " I have kids ?. " Logan turned to his mother to ask " you have two wonderful kids ,twins to be precised and Ava is currently pregnant with your third child ." Mrs Rodriguez smiled as she held his hands " why is she crying , did we love each other that much ." Logan asked as he stared at Ava outside the door talking to someone on phone " you two were so in love Logan , I even caught you guys making out on my couch once , she is crying because she loves you. " Mrs Rodriguez ends with a smile as Ava came back in " I spoke with the kids already , I told them you went on a trip , my mum is looking after them already , Drake will be here soon with the pictures and food ." Ava sat closely beside Ava and held his hands " what happened to me ? Can I know why I am lying down here and not home ?." Logan turned to Ava who looked so pale " you left home this morning because I was worried that Isabella , your ex must have kidnapped Andy like she did to me three months ago , you decided to go join Dumbbell at the police station , you left home alone after telling Drake not to go with you , I received a call about five minutes later that you had a car accident , I am sorry Logan ,I should not have made you ..... " Ava covered her face before tears fell again trying hard not to let Logan see her cry " all that happened today right , so what did the doctor say ." tears fell from Logan's face quickly before he could hold it " I am sorry Logan , this is all my fault ." Ava held unto his hand tightly " come in , the door is opened ." Mrs Rodriguez said to the person knocking consistently "welcome officers , how may we help you ." Ava asked as she stood up from Logan's bed " we are here to interrogate Mr Rodriguez but we were informed about his condition , but we still want to have some word with him ." the officer said briefly and stood upright " Mrs Rodriguez can you recall anything before or after your incident , was there any unusual feeling ." Ava eyes went to Logan who looked on without any sign of understanding " I am sorry but I don't remember anything at all ." Logan replied quickly " please make sure you contact us if you remember anything , we went through the CCTV at the place of accident today , we found out that the driver inside the other vehicle hit you then left the scene covered with a face mask , we will like your cooperation if you remember anything ." The officer looked at Logan keenly my then at Ava " please make sure you contact us if you see anything suspicious , I will take my leave now , thank you for your time ." the officer walked out immediately without looking back . Drake came in with some things Ava had ask him to bring " you should take mum home , she needs to rest , mum I will stay with Logan ." Ava smiled as she placed Logan's food on the table " I came with my driver , Drake can go ahead , I am fine , I still need to see Logan eat ." Mrs Rodriguez stared at Logan as he stood up to eat while Drake went out quickly " do I own a lot of money to own a guard ."Logan asked Ava as he sat down to eat " yes you own lot of them , you own lot of companies too , you should eat before it get cold , start with the chicken ." Ava cut the chicken into pieces as she tries to feed him " I can do well by myself ." Logan stretched to collect the fork from her " I remember you normally beg me too feed you gentleman ." Ava smiled from her heart the first time that day as she continue to watch him eat .
