CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Logan woke up the next morning feeling irritated with everything about last night , he was angry , he had drunk after he got home that night , broken bottles on the floor and messed up his room with anger , Logan stood up from bed to drink a glass of water , he almost fell to the floor as he manage to hold the table beside his bed , he was very shock to see Ava last night , she messed with his emotions and left him , he had searched for her everywhere he could hoping to find her , he had even traveled to her dad too and her mum . He did not expect to meet her yesterday , it was all too sudden for him and now his lack of preparation made him go into like this . Thinking about Ava over and over again . He was about to undress when he heard a knock on the door , he quickly adjusted his clothe before asking the person in " come in . " Logan said quickly " good morning daddy . " Angel , Logan's daughter run and jumped on him happily " I missed you honey , is she not suppose to be in school ? . " Logan turned to ask Isabella after carrying Angel in his arms " she wanted to see you , i promised her you will come over to see us yesterday , you did not , so we decided to come spend the weekend here . " Isabella sat on the edge of the bed smiling seductively at Logan who looked on with irritation " Angel can you give mum and dad some minutes please , I need to talk to mum alone . " Logan hurriedly picked up his phone and called the new housekeeper Mrs Benson who came in immediately " please take Angel with you ." Logan said as he walked Angel to the housekeeper " yes Mr Rodriguez ." Mrs Benson bowed before she stepped out with Angel " so Isabella , you said you made Angel skip school because she needed to see me ? , I don't see that as a good reason and why on earth will you come here this early in the first place? have you lost it ?" Logan asked angrily " so funny , really ? Logan did you just ask me those unnecessary questions , you do not come to see me , neither my child yet you do not welcome me anytime I come here , all you do is nag me every time I try to make you happy , what on earth do you take me for Logan ? If you keep up with this attitude believe me I will make sure you regret it ." Isabella stood up immediately ready to walk out " wait Bell , I am sorry I raised my voice at you , I know I have not been the best dad to Angel , I promise I will adjust , just give me time . " Logan drag Isabella back " let's get married then " Isabella blurted out quickly " married " Logan repeated with shock " Angel has been asking why we do not leave together , she wants siblings too Logan , ever since you got me pregnant you refuse to touch me , do you hate me that much Logan ? . " Isabella burst into tears immediately as she sat back on the bed " Bell you need to calm down , I just want your child , I have told you many times that my heart belong somewhere else , I will always be there for Angel , I promise " Logan bent to hold her " Don't you dare touch me Logan, after all I did for you " Isabella sprung up with anger pointing her finger at Logan " so you still love that whore right ? That same woman that ruined what we share , Look at me Logan ." she turned Logan's face towards herself before she continues " that same whore that tried to steal you from me four years ago , Logan you better not choose her over me , I know what I went through when you were nothing ..... " Logan cuts in before she could go further " enough Bell , you need to leave right now , I will bring Angel at noon " Logan tried to raise her up and just then Isabella slapped him " Drake , come and take this woman out now " Logan shouted angrily while Drake and Andrew rushed in " make sure you watch your back henceforth Logan , you are so grimey, you will regret treating me this way " Isabella screamed loud so Logan can hear her as Drake and Andrew walked her forcefully out of the door " do not touch me " Isabella shouted angrily at the two guards trying to walk her out . When Isabella was finally out the door Logan fell on the bed back to his thinking, he had found out Angel was not his biological child having conducted tests three years ago , his mother had advised him then after she sensed Logan might fall prey to situations like that , but he had hidden the truth from Isabella and everyone except his mum . Although he loved Angel like his own . He went into the bathroom to bath when he came out , Drake was waiting outside for him " you have a business call sir ." Drake bowed , dropped the phone before stepping out back . Logan picked the phone then call back the number, after dialling the number he asked who it was but no response " hello who is this " Logan asked again before he hung up and threw the phone on his bed. He dressed quickly then called Drake in " get the car ready , I have some business to attend to at the office after that I am taking Angel to an amusement park . " Logan knotted his tie then looked at the mirror for the last time " I will be down in ten minutes , tell the cook to serve my breakfast , you may leave now . " Drake hurried out while Logan brushed his hair before he stepped out too . Logan ate little of his food , he suddenly lost his appetite when Ava thought came up in his mind , he left the food and went out .Angel was waiting for him inside the car already , she smiled immediately he sat beside her " where are we going dad ." Angel asked with smile all over her face " to work then we play honey ,do you want to play with daddy today ? . " Logan asked Angel who was smiling so happily " yes I want to play , I don't want to go home to mummy today. " Angel smiled with joy in her eyes " your wish is my command Angel. " Logan pats her head before he spoke to Drake " I want you to find every information about Ava , I need every detail of her movement too , make sure you give me every little detail ." Logan said to Drake , biting the middle finger of his right hand " yes sir " Drake responded " and you Andrew make sure you watch every of ..... " Logan stopped then looked at Angel , luckily for him she was asleep already " I need you to watch every step Isabella takes , I know how desperate she can be , for the main time you can assign someone else to drive me around. " Logan relaxed after giving out his orders " yes sir " Andrew responded too. Logan got to work ten minutes later , he ordered Drake to take Angel to his mother for the meantime .His secretary came into his office two minutes after he had settle down " Good morning Mr Rodriguez , here are the list of companies interested in children games , I have gone through them but I am afraid we can only sign fifty companies " Mrs Roosevelt dropped the document on his table after sharing her view with Logan " so have you looked into the fifty companies we can trust ?. " Logan asked Mrs Roosevelt as he looked through the document " yes I just need your signature before I send them emails " Mrs Roosevelt replied quickly " You can send the emails , I have never for once doubted your work Mrs Roosevelt " Logan signed the document then hand them over to her " I will be leaving soon , if I have any appointment today , kindly work reschedule it Mrs Roosevelt " Logan stood up quickly ready to go out just then Dumbbell came in " you did not tell me you were coming , you may take your seat " Logan shifted back to his sit welcoming Dumbbell in , while Mrs Roosevelt rushed out immediately " since when do I need to call you before Coming to see you " Dumbbell asked Logan with a prying eyes " I am here to discuss something important anyway , I heard from Andy when we got married you use to date Ava ....." Logan cuts in immediately " are you saying you came here because of Ava. honestly I do not want to talk about her right now , we can have this discussion another time , not until I make her go through the pains she made me go through " Logan stumped his fist on the table angrily " I came because Andy was worried something must have happened to Ava with how we left her last night , I am sure Ava regrets her mistakes now it now " Dumbbell said trying to calm Logan who was getting more angry " you know what , let forget about this issue , I need to pick Angel at mom's place " Logan said as he stood up , Dumbbell bursted into laughter immediately " what is funny Dumbbell,do I look happy to you . " Logan turned back to face Dumbbell immediately " actually I just think you need to know Angel is my daughter " Dumbbell blurted out quickly " I know " Logan replied without any emotions " are you kidding me ,since when did you know about that?. " Dumbbell asked with surprise " since three years ago , it is fine Dumbbell I have always loved Angel like my own " Logan pats Dumbbell shoulder " Does Andy know about this . ? " Logan asked " no I still don't know how to tell her, I am sorry Logan , I held it for so long because I do not want to lose Andy . " Dumbbell bowed his head in his hands " I have to go now Dumbbell , I am over it , trust me . I promised Angel I was taking her out " Logan smiled before he left Dumbbell who looked bitter and speechless.
