CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Logan sat by the pool side of the party with Dumbbell as they discussed business. " So I started the deal. After two months, he said he was no longer interested , I was angry man , I made sure he paid me off for all my labours". Logan laughed while Dumbbell joined in the laughter too " sometimes it happens like that " Logan poured himself another drink " the party is just getting started and a lot of people are in here already , every company owner here have their eyes on you believe me" Dumbbell poured himself a drink too " I know they are not moving closer because I have guards around me." Logan smiled as he stared back at a woman staring at him "that's Jackie Armstrong , also a top business woman. I think she likes you " Dumbbell said jokingly to Logan " I have taste Dumbbell,and act like a married man " Logan said jokingly " I thought you came with Andy , I have not seen her " Logan looked around checking for Andy, Dumbbell's wife " speak of the devil , here she comes " Dumbbell turned towards Andy who was coming from behind him " hello baby , Logan was just asking of you " Dumbbell stood up as he kissed Andy " hello Logan ,I had to meet some friends, we should move to the party hall now" Andy suggested when Dumbbell tried to sit again "yes sure" Dumbbell chorused alongside Logan . They walked together at a relaxed pace. Logan instructed his guards to wait behind before he entered the party with Andy and Dumbbell. They took glasses of wine from a server passing by. "this tastes nice" Dumbbell commented " I will be back I need to use the restroom" Logan dropped his drink on the table then walked towards the restroom , he was half way there when a lady looking confused bumped into him , she poured virtually all the wine in the cup on him " what the hell!" Logan screamed loudly which drew everyone's attention around them. " I am very sorry , I ..... " Ava could not finish her statement seeing the person she bumped into. The glass cup she was holding fell on the floor . Andy came closer likewise Dumbbell trying to get a closer view of what happened "Ava!" Andy exclaimed with shock "Oh my God" Ava murmured as she covered her face with her hands . Logan almost fell on his knees as Dumbbell ran to hold him immediately "let's get out of here." Dumbbell said quickly due to the look Logan was getting from the other guests around them "we should leave right now. I feel so irritated " Andy added as she left quickly " Andy please wait " Ava ran after Andy immediately , she drags Andy back when she got hold of her "what is it Ava , what do you want from me, I thought we were best friends Ava. I honestly do not want to talk to you right now , kindly let me go and please pretend lime this never happened " Andy could not control her tears as they ran down her cheeks "I am so sorry Andy , it was too late before I realized my mistake. I was emotionally stressed and I ended up making bad decisions , please forgive me Andy "Ava held desperately unto Andy's sleeves " you lied to me Ava , you played me , you left your parents. Your mum was really traumatized. I really can not handle this right now, it all feels like a dream to me , you should never have shown up Ava " Andy opened the car door as she beckoned on Dumbbell to come quickly "Is Logan alright" Andy asked as she got into the car "He left already , I think he needs time to himself" Dumbbell replied quickly " Andy I am sorry " Ava said quickly before Dumbbell started driving. "Bye Ava" Dumbbell waved before he drove off , Ava fell on her knees crying bitterly , bit too long after a voice she recognized from four years ago made her almost go into shock "hello Ava" that voice was definitely Liam 's voice. Ava raised her head from her knees to see the owner of the voice she already guessed. "Ava what are you doing here?" Liam asked confidently " it been a long time Liam , actually I got an invite so that's why I am here. Do you have any problem with that?" Ava asked with anger and for the first time she hated Liam so much that she felt the needed to pour out her pain on him "Why do you always come back to me Liam, why are you so interested in messing up my life. Every time you come back , you end up damaging me, I am so fucked up right now because of you " tears fell down her cheeks uncontrollably. "Calm down Ava" Liam managed to interrupt her " you want me to calm down , after everything you did to me? Did I hear you say calm down , every time I try to set my life , you come into the picture asking for a second chance and my stupid self end up giving in to your silly games , do you have a heart at all ,am I some sort of game you play for fun ...." Liam cuts in quickly " Ava I am here to marry you. This time around, I am not joking , if you want the wedding tomorrow then let's have it, I am not here to joke with your feelings" Liam bent to drag her up which she refused. " Don't touch me , you ruined my life. Fuck you Liam , I will never forgive you " Ava stood up immediately shifting away from him " leave me now before I do something crazy Liam " Ava fainted immediately before she could utter anything else.

"She needs to relax. She fainted due to emotional stress, make sure she eats when she wakes up too ." Doctor Maxwell informed Andy who sat beside Ava. "No problem doctor , she will " Doctor Maxwell wrote down something on her case note after checking Ava's temperature again. "She will be fine. I will eave now." Doctor Maxwell walked out of the room quickly. Andy stared at her friend as she smiled happily , she was glad to have her friend back . Liam had called her immediately Ava fainted , she had rushed to the hospital hoping Ava was alright . Four hours later, Ava woke up trying to sit up immediately. " Calm down Ava, doctor said you needed to rest" Andy pushed her back on the bed to lie down properly " I am sorry Andy", Ava apologised holding Andy 's left hand " It's fine Ava. I forgive you " Andy replied quickly " Oh my God!, my kids " Ava exclaimed. "Can I use your phone please? "Yes sure" Andy handed over her phone to Ava quickly. "Hello Betty, I am so sorry. I o not know how I ended up in a hospital of all places last night. Are my kids alright?" Ava asked "They are fine but hungry for mummy" Betty replied " I will tell Taylor to bring them" Ava replied quickly , she said her goodbye and hung up quickly "You got married ?" Andy asked immediately. "Nooooo" Ava responded with a surprised look "So that means you gave birth to twins " Andy smiled brightly with surprise "yes. You got married to Dumbbell. I thought it was supposed to be a one night stand" Ava teased Andy "Actually, love happened. I honestly can not wait to see your kids , how old ?" Andy asked as she guessed "Four years old right ?" Andy raised are eyeballs "Yes four , help me send a message to Taylor please , I want him to bring them over ." Ava smiled brightly, happy to have her friend back "I am sorry Andy, I was just too embarrassed " Ava said shyly. "It's fine, I am sorry I walked out on you last night. If I did not, you will not be on a hospital bed" Andy smiled brightly back at Ava who was smiling non stop. " So what is marriage like?" Ava asked "Hmm.. let's talk about the kids I am about to meet first. I have not had a child since I married so I know nothing about kids. I don't want to be left in the lurch when I meet your kids" Andy adjusted her sitting position ready to listen. "Emmanuel has more of Logan features while Emmanuella has more of mine. Sometimes, Emmanuel reminds me so much of Logan. He is always attentive and Emmanuella hardly talks , she cuts me off like you do " Ava laughed as Andy spanked her buttocks. "I honestly want to meet them already. You should eat your food, it is getting cold already" Andy brought the food she had ordered earlier to Ava. "Thanks for coming" Ava hugged Andy before she dug into her food. She was famished.
