CHAPTER TWENTY -THREE

" we hope our partnership brings forth success , I am glad to have you all here today and I say a big thank you to you all , if there is no one with any other question , I hereby declare this meeting over , Mrs Rodriguez please kindly wait behind ." Logan winked at Ava while the company representatives left the room one after the other, Ava stood up and walked towards Logan when the last person shut the door. " finally we are alone Mr Logan Rodriguez , what else can I do for you ." Ava walked seductively towards Logan smiling " I want to lift up that tiny skirt of yours Mrs Rodriguez , if you are up for the task ." Logan lifted her on the table as he kissed her urgently " how did I not know your company was among the fifty companies we signed , I was too busy to look at the list Mrs Roosevelt gave me ." Logan loosed her hair down as he began to kiss her " we can not do this here Logan , this is an office ." Ava laughed as she kissed him back. " no one is going to come in here , besides I cancelled all my appointments today ." Logan said as he stroked her breast " we still have to go to your mum and a dinner with the Williams , I think we should get going if we don't want to be late . " Ava pushed him away playfully " okay just ten minutes with you , just ten minutes I promise ." Logan caught her back as she tried to get down " you never get tired do you , I nearly missed my meeting this morning ." Ava said as Logan placed her back on the chair . " I am the boss here Ava , you know you don't have to come for meetings, you really don't know what you do to me ." Logan said jokingly rubbing her breast " anyway I am pregnant , two weeks pregnant to be precise , my test came out this morning from the doctor ." Ava smiled broadly as she broke the news happily to Logan who looked surprise . " Oh my God , are you serious , I am so happy Ava, you are driving me crazy ." Logan said as he carried her happily. " Logan put me down , I don't want to fall ." Ava laughed happily tapping Logan to drop her " I am so happy right now Ava , we need to celebrate this as soon as possible , Andy will be so happy ." Logan placed her on the table gently " but first I still need my ten minutes , we will leave soon ." they began to kiss again for the next ten minute . In another ten minute Logan and Ava were at his mother's house already " welcome Ava , I am so happy to see you , Logan you did not tell me you were coming this late ." Mrs Rodriguez said happily as she hugged Ava . Emmanuel and Emmnuella came running out immediately shouting loudly " I miss you daddy ." Emmanuella said as she jumped on Logan who carried her . Ava carried Emmanuel happily as she looked on at Emmanuella and Logan " I miss you too honey ,happy birthday in advance , you still have not told me what you want as your birthday gift ." Logan sat gently placing her on his laps " I want a baby sister and a cute puppy ." Emmanuella replied as she stroked Logan's head " wow I want that gift too ." Mrs Rodriguez laughed as she joked " mummy is going to be having a baby soon honey , i want a baby girl too, I will get you a puppy tomorrow , what do you want Emmanuel ? You should tell me your Christmas gift too ? ." Logan dragged Emmanuel's hand playfully " I want a new game set and a piano ." Emmanuel replied happily as he jumped up " I will make that available tomorrow Emmy ." Logan said as be winked at Ava " congratulations honey, you are amazing I must confess ." Mrs Rodriguez said happily , hugging Ava again " I am still surprise to see Emmanuella this outspoken since this last three months , I guess I prefer male child since Emmanuel loves me more , Emmanuella hardly talks to me at all ." Ava carried Emmanuel on her shoulder smiling at her joke " let have dinner and Ava stop making Emmanuella feel bad ." Mrs Rodriguez said quickly as she walked toward the dining table " mum , we still have a dinner to attend at the Williams house , we will come for the kids very early in the morning , I am sorry to bother you with them , they always insist we bring them here rather than having a nanny stay with them ." Logan said as he stood up and dropped Emmanuella " you know I wouldn't mind them staying here for a very long time . I like how they scatter things around and ask obvious questions , Ava thanks for making my wish come true " Mrs Rodriguez laughed happily . " kids make sure you take care of grandmother , okay ? I will come get you tomorrow. " Ava placed Emmanuel and Emmanuella together as she gave them the instruction " yes mummy ." they both chorused together running back quickly to watch TV " they don't even want to leave here , they are so attached to their grandmother ." Ava commented quietly to Logan as they walked out of the house " see you tomorrow ." Mrs Rodriguez waved back at them before she shut the door happily.

Few minutes later , they were at the Williams house , " welcome Ava , I thought you guys might disappoint me ." Andy hugged Logan while Dumbbell welcomed them to their seat. " I would not miss this for anything , I have been preparing all day , their is so much to eat ." Ava replied with a smile looking all over the table " so Logan , how are you spending your Christmas holiday, Andy and I have been waiting to ask you guys first before we planned ours ." Dumbbell asked when they had sat down to eat " I will go anywhere Ava has in mind , Ava do you have somewhere in mind already ?. " Logan turned to Ava waiting for her reply " I was thinking we could come together for Christmas , i will send an invite to my brother and my dad later , i am sure they wouldn't mind , what your opinion Andy ? ." Ava asked as she dished the food into their plates " I am fine with any decision , I just can not wait to give birth to my baby , I am just so excited ." Andy rubbed her stomach as she reached for Dumbbell's hand . " don't be surprise to see me with a big belly Andy , I am two weeks pregnant. " Ava announced happily " you are not kidding right ?. " Andy asked as she covered her mouth with her hands " I am so happy for you Ava , Logan you really don't take chances ." Andy threw an apple on him gently " I guess I wouldn't take chances henceforth ." Dumbbell said jokingly as he pecked Andy " can we start eating already please , I am hungry ." Ava announced as she ended the conversation " don't tell me you are not sleeping over , we prepared a room for you and Logan ." Andy shot her eyes at Ava quickly " of course we are , I just want to eat before it midnight ." Ava smiled happily as she looked at Logan , " let all make a wish before we eat , I will start , I wish for myself and Ava a safe delivery , your turn Dumbbell . " she clapped cheerfully as she turned to Dumbbell " I wish to never be parted from you Andy ." Andy kissed him quickly on his lips " that's so sweet of you , it your turn Logan ." Andy smiled at him " my wish is Ava's happiness , I want Ava to be happy for a very long time ." Logan responded smiling at Ava who looked so excited . " Ava it your turn ." Andy tapped her gently . " i really cant think of anything but I am happy right now ,this is one of my happiest moment Logan , thank you so much . " Ava commented smiling happily . There was silent as they all turned to look at her . " we should eat now , I will say one when I finally think of it ." Ava said quickly as they all began to eat , of course she would not have wished for any other moment like this , and at last just before they began to eat , she gave her wish " I want us to live happily like this forever ".
